Food service is very very slow we ordered 45 minutes ago and still no food...the restaurant is not full but probably understaffed. If the food is as bad as the wait service time, I'm in for a horrible meal. And the results are in the food is horrible. The last few times we've been here the wait after being seated has been terrible! The customer service has been terrible! And it's always a slow time, between the lunch and dinner rush. This last time, about two weeks ago, we came in and were seated quickly. Waiter comes over pretty quickly also. We put in our drink order, mostly waters and a few beers, and an app. We waited over 30 minutes for the water before we decided to leave. Which really sucked since it was our kid's 21st and 22nd birthdays and they had never been. They wanted to stay so badly! We watched our drinks and beers getting warm in the pick up window. Where our waiter walked to at least 6 different times without picking them up to bring over to us. Our appetizer came out before our drinks did. We counted 12 waiters and waitresses, 10 tables, and still had to wait forever. Never even saw our waiter go to another table. It's like the waitstaff here just disappears. You can't even track them down. We ended up paying for the check and leaving. No effort made to remedy the situation or take any items off of our bill. Made it clear as to why we were leaving as well. Hopefully they fix the issue soon. Even though I doubt at this point we'll be giving them another chance. I'd say don't waste your money here unless you just want to experience the "thunder storm" for three minutes. And if that's the case, I'd be seated and not order. Just leave after. read more

Went there yesterday with the whole family, everyone there was extremely nice, server was excellent but the food thumbs down. The kids macaroni & cheese was Kraft mac& cheese, the coconut shrimp that I ordered were 4 very small and the frozen kind you get from the supermarket & for $9 never again; im like "wheres the shrimp"!!!!, my daughter's Rasta Pasta (alfredo) she said taste like from the jar. Had a reservation for 15 people recently. Very nice atmosphere for the kids. Plenty of things to look at and hear. Periodically a tropical storm kicks up and the animated animals come alive. It's a great tourist spot for kids in Atlantic City. We forgot to make reservations before we got there but the wait for 4 ppl at around 11:30am was only 15-20 mins. The atmosphere was awesome, there's a rainforest effect every 20 mins. I wasn't expecting the food to be on the top notch but it was exceeding my expectations. This was my first time visiting Atlantic City, and the first thing I noticed is how we couldn't find a restaurant that everyone could enjoy with their eating preferences. It was also a weekend, so things were packed out. I love places with a full ambiance and I stumbled across this one because AMBIANCE ON POINT! When you first enter, there's a cute gift shop and immediately after that you enter an actual jungle. Beautiful decor from ceiling to table, and we entered during a 'rain storm' which made me look great to everyone as I chose the place to eat. We ordered virgin Pina colada's for the table of 4, and everything we ordered was great. I specifically remember the coconut shrimp, mashed potatoes and chicken fingers. SUPERB! The prices weren't terrible either. I can't wait to drive back down and hit this place again! Oh oh! Not to mention, our waitress was a DOLL! Today I went to the rainforest cafe to get some lunch. I wanted to go there because when I was a kid I always liked there food. I got a BBQ Bacon cheeseburger with a side of fries. The first bite was okay but it wasn't bad. Second bite same thing. Then the third bite was awful. It turns out I bit into the cheddar cheese. I took off the bun of the burger to see why this burger was so bad. I saw the cheese it looked disgusting. It made me want to throw up just by looking at the cheese. I believe our waiter was Bobbie and he was absolutely fantastic. He looked over seated, not sure if he was, but still was very pleasant and polite. The manager on staff while we were there was also amazing. She came over to check on us 2 or 3 times, always with a smile. I do think the food is overpriced but you are paying for the experience. The theme is great but again what really sold this place for me was the staff. They should definitely get something for the exceptional service they gave. I've been to many rainforest cafes and it's pretty much what you'd expect. You go for the experience. We went after Disney on ice and made reservations, there were many empty tables, and you could tell 90% of the other customers also were coming from Disney on ice (souvenirs etc), it was a Saturday in November, I heard them tell someone without a reservation it would be 2 hour wait. Even though many tables, so yes it's a staffing issue. No fault on their end. A sign of the times, but given that Disney on ice was right next door they probably should've planned ahead making sure enough staff. The food was good, everyone enjoyed it. We got the awesome appetizer adventure and the honey mustard tasted like maple syrup it was odd, but aside from that, everything was good. The staff were very nice and definitely overworked. The prices in the store -some things ok, but a hatchimal $13 that I know cost $4-5 in target, like that's a big up charge. The rainforest show with the animals is cute, the kids enjoyed it. I love the atmosphere here it is so much fun! I always enjoy visiting. My chicken fajitas were very tasty. The waitress was nice but I have to mention something that happen that I didn't like. We ordered lemonades. The waitress brought them over in cute light up cups. I mentioned how cute the cups were. The waitress said oh you can keep the cups. I said oh thanks. Slightly confused but okay. When I looked around we were the only ones with the glasses. When the bill came the lemonades were $9.79 a piece. At first I thought it's $10 do I want to fuss about that? But then when I thought about it, I didn't like the assumption without mentioning the extra charges. I saw a manager and asked about the cups. He said they are souvenirs. I stated I understand however we should have been asked if we wanted to spend $10 on lemonades and cups. Instead of the waitress told us we can take them home as if she was giving us something. Me and my girlfriends went to the awesome rainforest Café for happy hour in their bar section on Tuesday the air show was the next day so it was pretty busy! We pretty much ordered most of the happy hour menu for food! Chicken quesadilla, hamburger sliders, onion ring stack, shrimp tacos & spinach dip! Two of my friends got coronas but they weren't too cold so they asked them to put them on ice with them for the next round and was much better. Me and my other friend had two Baybreeze is each and they were absolutely delicious! Rail drinks were 5$ & beers 3$!! It's hard to find happy hour on the boardwalk in the summer! My mother and I went here for Mother's Day weekend, our server was nice and friendly. Sadly the dish my mom Ordered was not what the menu described. She ordered the Korean friend chicken lettuce wraps. Which came out dangerously spicy. There were multiple sliced chili peppers on her plate. Which are not supposed to be consumed raw. If a child had ordered this it could have been dangerous. My mom took about two bites and was immediately in pain and frantically drinking trying to cool the searing burn! She stopped eating it and we informed our server and showed her how many raw chili's were On the plate that my mom tried to pluck off. She apologized and returned with the bill and the dish was still on our bill, so I had to inform her we were really hoping to have it removed. This was kind of annoying that #1 the servers don't warn guests about spicy dishes on the menu nor does the menu indicate spiciness or ask them about spice tolerance #2 I expressed my feelings as kindly as possible and had to ask twice about some kind of resolution. Inevitably we had it removed and I still tipped her based off what the original price would have been. But I think for others safety this restaurant should either update the menu or train staff to know the dishes thoroughly so they can educate guests on spice levels. Further more I think the cooks should know several raw chilis would make a dragon cry. All in all this restaurant is ultimately for families and children and was a mistake of a choice on my part. read more

When i ordered my Shirley Temple there was no cherry and when i confronted the server and showed him the cherry with only the stem he said that me and my friends all have a cherry in our drink even though i clearly showed the issue. When he gave me a new batch of cherries they were smushed and only one or two were up to par. read more

Let me begin by saying this place is accommodating, both for children and adults. The staff is friendly, professional and were very attentive. I especially enjoyed the jungle decor they had setup inside. You can tell they put a great amount of time into the detail. With regards to the food the appetizers were delightful. We enjoyed the quesadillas and spinach dip and they both were free since we had coupons, thanks to the cool waitress we had. The BBQ wrap was okay and not that thrilling, but my friends really enjoyed the avocado burger and the Rueben special. This is a great experience and I would recommend it. read more

Came here with family that had never visited a rainforest cafe. Let me just say, telling someone "it's quite an experience" doesn't do it justice. Fake trees, ivy everywhere, plants all around, thunder and lightning, moving elephants and gorillas... Quite a unique time, especially for little kids. We came in and were seated promptly. Ordered the appetizer sampler platter and 3 entrees. Everything that came out tasted good. Steak was cooked surprisingly well, my burger was delicious, taco salad seemed alright (though I didn't try it), ribs were fall-off-the-bone. From having last visited the location in Universal Orlando as a kid, was not expecting food to be as a good as it was. Pleasant surprise there. The three stars comes from a couple places. One is just the pricing. While the food was good, the price to value ratio for everything on the menu (esp. alcohol) just seemed too high for what we got. Another issue was dust. All of the fake plants and vines they have hanging all over the restaurant must be ridiculously hard to clean. Upon close inspection, they were reallllly dusty... Last point is just that the elephant near our table was so loud it actually became difficult to have a conversation. Probably fun for kids, but wish it had an off switch (or at least a volume button)! read more

There were a ton a empty tables and we had a half hour wait to be seated. When we got seated we waited more than 15 mins before we saw our waiter. Then there was about a 1/2 hour before our food came out. We order dessert when our food came out so we didn't have to wait but it was a while. I really do not remember well my first experience, but expected something good at affordable price We ordered nachos, ceasar salad and burgers. My husband and sister-in-law were very disappointed with burgers as they looked and tasted like burgers from cheap fast food chain. Nachos were small with no guaco (usually one portion was enough for three of us). My salad was OK. The service was not the best but atmosphere and decoration was amazing as always! The ambience is a 10 out of 10! I love Rainforest Cafes because the scenery and ambience is so amazing! You really feel like you're walking into some Disney set of a rainforest. There are swinging monkeys, elephants with flapping ears, sounds of birds and thunder and music related to the theme. I like how every 30 minutes or so, there is thunder and "rain" and the room goes darker. It is a great place for all ages. Some of the props move around you. The area is heavily decorated with fake trees, plants, flowers and animals. The food is expensive but I just rationalize the price by saying that you're paying for the experience and atmosphere. There's a gift shop in the front and also an aquarium. There is also a bar area where the barstools are fun butt shapes of different animals. I tried the shrimp platter and tacos. I also tried the dragon berry mule cocktail. It was too sweet. The shrimp platter was good and included coconut shrimp, bacon wrapped shrimp, and garlic shrimp. It was all pretty unhealthy other than the side of rice and zucchini. read more

Hot Mess!! My husband and I love the Rainforest cafe and came in for Happy Hour, but left after 1 drink. We walked in and waited for a host who never came, so we sat ourselves in the bar area where half the tables were dirty. The server was nice and took our drink order. When we realized our chosen table was also dirty, we switched, which created a loud argument behind the bar about us. We wanted to order food, but were so grossed out that we paid and left. Note: they were not under staffed. I saw plenty of servers come sing happy birthday to a guy in the bar area, and the restaurant was not busy at all! We went as a group of 7 with a reservation. 3 kids, 4 adults. We ordered our drinks, which came nice and quick. Then ordered our food, which then became an issue. The 3 kids meals came out 10 minutes after ordering, the manager delivered and walked off. We noticed no one had utensils to eat with, and there was no one around to ask. We waited a couple minutes at most and then took some from an unseated table. Another 20 minutes passes and the server comes by to tell us our meals would be 5-10 minutes longer. We order another round of drinks and then dessert for the kids About 30/35 minutes after the kids received their meals out meals came out. Except for a salad. We see our drinks up on the service window, but 5 minutes later they haven't been picked up and we still don't have the salad. We ask an employee (host) as he walks by if he can grab our drinks he says he can't. We also ask for the manager so we can get the salad. Manager comes by and we are still waiting for the salad. He apologizes for being the kids food so early. We eventually get the salad, and drinks. The manager did comp two kids meals, but then we saw were were charged for 4 souvenir glasses which we didn't order, and had to have those taken off as well. We were sat at 7:45, kids were finished eating at 8:15, our meals arrived around 8:45 and we weren't able to get out of there until 9:30. The food was good, problems were addressed it just was not a experience I would recommend. This was not any of ours first experiences at Rainforest Cafe, we all lived near one for years and have been to many others. This was hand down the worst experience at any RC location. read more

Rainforest did an excellent job accommodating people this 4th of July weekend. I went for lunch around 12:30 and there was an hour wait. Not bad, went to gamble at Caesars to kill time. When we went to be seated we were in direct sunlight with no umbrella. The hostess was so sweet she rearranged some tables and sat us in the shade. She went the extra mile for us which was great. The food was delicious and service was great! Will def come back again. All the staff had masks on as well. read more

Been to two Rainforest Cafes and this one several times. Never really had an issue here until our last visit. Although we didn't wait long until our buzzer went off we waited quite a while while the girl checked us in - twice because she forgot the first time as we stood there watching her direct other people. Maybe improve the area where you get seated - don't have people come in and out. All September is Kids Eat Free - but unless you mention that they don't tell you that but it is on their website and yes the $7.99 each was taken off AFTER we asked about it. But folks here is the grand finale - i will make the story short. As the table in the corner filled with a bride to be and her entrourage they all stood up and were frightened. A baby mouse had fallen from the ceiling onto the menu. I kid you not. Bus Boy picked it up with his cloth (hope he threw that out) took a while for manager to come for such an incident and the bridal party walked out. Won't be back.
