Food was great and the atmosphere here was amazing. I was thinking about giving it a 5/5 star rating but chose to give it 4/5. This is because when we went to get seated we were told there would be a 30 minute wait to be seated. Being completely honest maybe 50% of the tables were being used and the whole time we were there many of the tables were free. So we asked to just sit at the bar instead and we were told it would be a 30 minute wait to get food. Once we were sat we had a amazing server and did not have us wait. Our server was so nice and friendly and very quick. Highly recommend you come especially if your shopping at the mall. Overall great experience!! read more

Morgan was so nice, efficient and professional when he was so busy... I don't know how he managed but he did! Quite a few tables (including ours) was sat in his section, all at once, and he somehow pulled it off beautifully! I ordered the fish & chips and it was outstanding!!!! Big portion and delicious. My friends ordered a salad and he enjoyed it and our other friend ordered the chicken quesadilla appetizer and enjoyed his as well! I used to adore this place. I just moved back to south Florida and was really excited to come back now that I have little ones. The menu is a fraction of the size it used to be and really overpriced for what you're getting. The service seems to have gotten worse during the pandemic, which is understandable, but last time we were here we waited over an hour for our food! The place was les than half empty but there was a two hour wait. I had reservations luckily but still....we were so anxious to go by the time we finally got our food it ruined the whole experience. The place has friendly staff and the atmosphere is very entertaining. The animals comes alive and they have these thunderstorms that are sure to keep your kids amused. But the food is horrible. This is a long review, I'm not bashing, it's just what has happened to this world. Great concept poor execution. Went here when I was a kid, so naturally now I bring the family. So as an adult you notice different things. The employees I'm sure are good people,but they are just going through the motions. The first table they sat us at was 5' from the front door, zero of the ambience which is the reason to go, and a highway of traffic. The next table solved only the view part 50%. The food took for ever, like 30 minutes. The same dinosaur chicken nuggets from target take like 10 minutes. I have also never seen a unpressed and luke warm panini before. That was the family's meals. I got the combo fajitas it was good just hoped for a little more meat, instead got some wilted lettuce and some kind of "salsa" with a can of uncooked black beans and water dumped into it. We were going for lava cake but seeing what came before we didn't want to wait for longer and get disappointed more. Like I said before I had found memories of this place. But for $70 bucks we were full of regrets and thoughts of how are lives would have been better going to the Burger King in the food court. read more

Our server Chris was excellent, so nice and was on top of everything. Although we were told kitchen was short staff all the food came out in good timing, hot, but more importantly was more delicious than ever. This has been our best experience at Rainforest, not only because of the wonderful service from Chris but also, I think this probably has to do with manager Loren, he was so profesional and friendly. Only reason why I didn't rate this restaurant a 1 was because of the margarita I had. It was literally the only not ill tasting thing that was brought to my table. Mozzarella sticks were plain ol frozen mozzarella sticks. Plate came out steaming hot yet the actual sticks weren't even warm! 1 hour and a half later our food shows up and the disappointment continues. I used the steak, shrimp and ribs platter with mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies. So the seasonal veggies were insanely buttered Carrots. The shrimp was chewy and overcooked. Soooooo this first and only time coming here. Definitely for children but the large mushroom spiked my fancy. It was a 30 min wait but it's conveniently located in the mall so that was great. But once inside your there's cute mechanical animals and fish tanks everywhere. It took a while for out for our food to come out ( about 15 mins) and it came out cold!! And the one of our entrees didn't look anything like the menu. A lot of things look like it was missing... Great scenery for kids. Great for birthday parties and there is complimentary balloon service for kids only. Balloon art is made for each kid who eats at the table. There are animals, vines and fish in tanks throughout the restaurant. There are many animal noises/calls in the dining area. When the rainforest takes place, a mist forms in certain areas. My nephew enjoyed the atmosphere, but it was too much for me to handle. The restrooms were not clean. I kept wondering how much dust was on the faux greenery and plastic plants. The food was over cooked. And it appeared the host/hostess was not pleased to be working there. read more

Dined here for dinner and was very unimpressed. I had such fond memories of this place as a kid but I feel no desire to go back. The 2 star saving grace is the excellent service and friendly staff. First issue I had, was there was some food remainders from who ever was at the table to us prior. Secondly, all of the food wasn't served hot. It was all a like warm at best. For an appetizer we had the mozzarella sticks. Other than the temp, they felt and tasted like they were heated up in a microwave. For my entire I had a chicken sandwich. again, not hot. Served with cold roasted red peppers which I assume were hot at some point, a "cheese" bread that had the consistency of a sponge, and cheese that was just thrown on, not melted. The fries were also not great because they were so cold. My friend ordered a veggie pasta dish and the sauce was very liquidy, and the noodles were all cut into pieces as if it were being served to a toddler. My husband and I made a reservation at this restaurant for one of our date nights. Definitely recommend a reservation since the wait list is always so long. We really enjoyed our visit here. It was so cool. I'm a kid at heart so every hour or so, the lights flicker and the animals move and make sounds for a few minutes. It was awesome. It was a bit pricey but worth it. You'd think this would be the ideal watering spot after a tough day shopping but in reality, it was busy with limited staff. My bloody mary was bloody naked! :-0 It tasted fine but was missing anything to give it personality I missed the celery or anything else to help it rival my desire to find something pretty. Servers were very busy and at times there was no one visible in the bar area... I will give them a slight pass as the bar has some blind spots. I'm Hispanic he never checked on us. But he was really nice with other people that were at the bar but they were white as well. Overall the restaurant was fine. Our waitress was nice enough. Our kids enjoyed the animals. The main reason we went is because we have kids with food allergies and the menu said they had chicken Dino's. I called ahead and asked the ingredients and was told that they were Tyson brand like you buy at the store. Great my kids can have those. Come to find out that was not true and they were a different brand that has dairy in the breading. So that was super annoying. The Rainforest Cafe makes me think of a Disney style jungle. Everything is fake and animated way over the top but cool if you're into that sort of thing. There are huge fish tanks throughout the place and fake thunderstorms where the lights flicker and a little rain falls that can help keep you entertained while you wait for your food. The menu has a great selection of stuff. The quality is spotty though. I've been here a few times because I'm a sucker for over the top stuff and had great food and poor food so it's kind of pot luck. A little pricey though. read more

Absolutely the worst service. The bathrooms were incredibly gross with toilet paper everywhere and urine all over every seat in the bathroom. We come in at 6:15 pm and didn't leave until 8:45 pm. We were like a forgotten table. Not only that, my sister is a vegetarian who ordered something without chicken and they loaded her salad with chicken. The restaurant is gorgeous and the kids will LOVE IT. My server was very friendly and attentive even though it is hectic in there. Kids meals are not really the best. My complaint: I ordered the Jungle safari soup and it was a SALT BOMB!!! It had only 1 or 2 kidney beans, no spinach and LOTS ans LOTS of salt. My eyes are swollen today from so much salt in one small bowl of soup! Please be more conscious with your food, there many many spices that can spike flavor instead of adding so much salt. read more

I was shopping around Sawgrass and decided to try this place. This restaurant belongs to the same group that owns Bubba Gump. It serves some tropical/Hawaiian food on a jungle themed restaurant. The place is big, but the gift shop is huge as well. Would recommend only if you're with kids. The service was slow, and it took a long time to prepare our food; and the place wasn't that crowded. We sat close to the gorillas and I almost had a heart attack when they started moving and making noises, lol. The food was good, though. Don't remember the name of the dish, but it had rice, shrimp, chicken and some vegetables. It was really good. My friend had a burger with fries. My experience at Rainforest café was not as great as I would have expected. The wait is okay because it's not filled or over crowded with people. The hostess is very polite as she/he takes you to your table. The waiter/waitress's service was decent. Now once you order you do not get bread or any free food as you wait miserably seeing everyone else get their food and get more hungry. Everything is over priced for the lack of good quality. The menu doesn't have a variety of food to eat. Now the wait for your food to come is ridiculous. Around an hour just to eat. But what is amazing and unique about this restaurant is the tourist attraction of animals like your in a rainforest. Every now and then begins a "thunderstorm" just like in a rainforest. We took our son for his 4th bday. It was his first time here. The atmosphere is cool and fun. The fish tanks and the fake rain is entertaining, but the food was awful. We ordered an appetizer that was ok. My son had the kid's pizza which was so bad he didn't eat. My other son ordered the fried shrimp, which he didn't eat. My parents ordered the coconut shrimp which was awful and my hubby ordered a sandwich that didn't sit well in his stomach. They really need to do better with their food quality. read more
