We have been coming to this outback since it opened and have had the regular ups and downs in service that you'd see at most restaurants, but today was unacceptable. We visited the day before Father's Day for lunch with 5 adults and 3 kids (1, 3 and 6 years old). We were there for almost 2 hours. The restaurant was mostly empty so there was no obvious excuse for how long everything took to come out (blooming onion appetizer alone took over 20 minutes, entrees took over 30 minutes) and no apologies or explanations or visit from the manager happened. When the food finally came, they brought 4 of the adults meals and neither kids meal then there was another 5 minute wait for the last adult meal and the two kids meals (leaving a 3 year old and 5 year old that had already been sitting there for over an hour, wondering why their food wasn't coming). Finally, one adult ordered the new "jumbo" Hooley Dooley shrimp only for it to come out as 6 shrimp, each less than an inch long and flavorless. Oh man I hate to do this but this visit was insane. 2 hours waiting for a soup and salad. I had to get up and leave . The staff in front is the only nice thing left . And the company is screwing them over and leaving them understaffed while they have to answer for the bad service that is a result of that. Couldn't even see a manager step up and help them out. Made me wonder if the front was so messy , what does the back look like ??? My favorite chain is a no longer what it used to be and they don't seem to care or even be present to apologize. Came here to eat a solo dinner about 5 on a Friday. It wasn't too crowded and I was seated in the bar area almost immediately. I hadn't been here in a while and decided to get the 3 course meal. I got a Caesar salad and loaded potato soup. For my entree I got the bloomin onion burger. The salad and soup were pretty good. The burger was ok. I had cheesecake with raspberry sauce for dessert and this was all for $16 before tip! I thought that was a pretty good deal. Service was good and I would come back. read more

Sat at the bar for lunch to skip the 10 minute wait because we were in a hurry. 10 minutes after, I noticed the bartender was taking tables as well. Being in the industry, I understand the stress with the added pressure of a bar plus tables. However, the bartender clearly saw 4 new patrons at the bar (including us) and neglected to acknowledge any of us and went to a lady who was complaining and offered a manager visit. Cool, that makes sense but even the manager came by and said nothing to any of us either! Needless to say I feel like it'd be easier to get service at the Arby's next door. read more

After 15 minutes I found a manager and told him, which didn't seem like to much of a concern. 23 minutes later and half the table done eating, they brought out 7 other dinners. My mother, who had a salad and soup, waited another 4 minutes for her dinner. Something I wanted to be special for my kid turned out to be nothing but aggravation. For the place being slow, and a 3pm dinner reservation which couldn't even be met, as we waited 10 min to be seated. We went here for my birthday, which was a Thursday night. It was a party of 12 which is a large size to serve. The waiter began well and got drinks and appetizers to us in a timely manner. Then it took him almost an hour to get all our orders in to be made. He never cleared away the dishes from our appetizers while we waited in our food. When my food got served it was room temperature. When I told our server the food was cold he said the manager would come over, which never happened. The waiter then took my plate and said he would get me a new plate. When the new plate arrived the manager brought it out to me and insisted I try it before he left to make sure it was good enough. It was obvious that the food not only looked fresher but was also hot. The manager was very rude for doing that almost as though he was being facetious. Will not be dining here again! read more

I really like Outback. We stopped here for a quick dinner and quick did not happen. We waited almost 45 minutes for our dinner to arrive. We didn't order anything crazy just a burger and steak dinner. Our server was nice and checked on us but we were really hungry. And they weren't crazy crowded. It was 3:00 in the afternoon. It started off not great as some of my silverware was not clean and a napkin was dirty. The napkins are black too. So I didn't care for that. The food was good and cooked well so I will give high marks for that. We had asked for a water refill and that took a long time as well. Not much of a fan of this restaurant chain but my husband is, so I'm always skeptical every time I step foot into one of these restaurants, BUT....this one was superb..!!! The management team was on top of the food's quality and presentation and the serving staff took special care of each of his/her tables and guests with welcoming hospitality, courteous grace, and utmost professionalism. Our server, Mariah (like the singer), was incredible, friendly, and overall, a joy having her take care of us. From the cheese fries to the Outback special steaks, the food was served promptly and came out as ordered....all was delicious! Overall, pleasantly surprised and incredibly happy...! Came here with my sister for lunch as we had great experience the last time we went. Boy were we shocked when we had one of the worst experiences we've ever had in a restaurant. We arrived around 130. There was four other tables that had patrons at this time so they weren't busy. The hostess seemed aggravated that we were there and soldered off to our table without even so much as two words. We're at a high top that could've used some more cleaning as there was Reminence of food from the last people that sat there. Such a big turn off! We waited 15 minutes for a server to come by to even ask us what we wanted to drink. We ordered immediately cause we saw this. I was going to take a while. Our food took almost 40 minutes to prepare and it's not like we got something outlandish. My sister got a lunch meal that had chicken and a baked potato and I got a pork chop meal that had asparagus and a sweet potato. The food came out hot, but I don't know what heavy handed cook was back there with the salt, but it was almost inedible.- It was so salty. I tried to scrape some of the saltines off the top because I knew if I sent it back, I would be sitting there another 40 minutes. The server didn't come back once to check on us. We paid with the kiosk at the table otherwise we would've been there even longer. All in all what was supposed to have been a quick lunch took almost 2 hours, and that is unacceptable when it's that slow. I was so pleased on my visit to the Davie restaurant the previous weekend, that I tried out the newer one in Sunrise, on the outskirts of Sawgrass Mills. The parking area up front is a bit misleading because it seems the restaurant was packed but it actually wasn't; and they have plenty of parking out back. The ambiance was a balanced one with a couple of parties on each side of the restaurant and a few folks at the bar watching the games. It was another perfect experience with the Outbacker Burger this time and my customary Top Shelf 'Rita! Bill and Richard were my tag-team servers and they were friendly but not talkative, which is exactly what you want when watching a game. Altogether, it's another great Outback location that I both recommend and will return to! read more

We sat at the bar to have a quick dinner and our bartender/server was Bill. Bill was very professional and kind and made sure to check in on us very often. We chose the $8 margaritas which were not bad at all! The ambiance was nice and laidback and could serve for a date night or family dinner night. I chose the new chimichurri filet that came with the fried carrot bunch that i believe was seasoned the same way as the bloomin onion. The brussel sprouts were good but i only wish they were crispier, they seem a little soggy. The food was all flavored decently; my only complaint was that it took an hour for my food to come out and the restaurant wasn't so packed at the time i had ordered. This has been our favorite location for years. But last visit was exceptional. I had a question about the way the salmon came out because I am not familiar with it. they assured me that it's cooked well and I was fine with it. Now I know. But they took it to the next level of service and gave me more peace of mind, they brought out another one for free. I was not complaining just wondering and they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable with my meal. We continue coming here because the food, service and environment are consistently great. The tables here are better than other locations because they do not have the hinges that allow expanding the table. Those get dirty, rusty etc and don't have to worry about those here. Hubby and I were excited to be invited to the VIP Mate complimentary dining experience for the newest Sawgrass Outback location located up the street from us. We received the warmest welcome from the hostess upon entering. The restaurant is clean and inviting with a great bar area that has lots of seating. We ordered the Grilled Shrimp appetizer, hubby had a perfectly cooked rib eye and I loved my Alice Springs Chicken (bacon on the side). Our waitress Yanna was sweet as can be and very attentive. Max and I came here for drinks before we moved on to our next adventure. They have a new Smokey Old Fashioned and of course I had to get it. The pictures will show you it is a star. It is strong with the right amount spice and smoke. I love these bar stools and because I am short, I have a hard time sitting at the bar. These stools have a bar across the bottom which is my Goldilocks kind of seat. These stools are just right. I am very happy we made this detour. Ok, need to add more. I seem to find myself at Outback here and there. This time we had reservations elsewhere but that did not work out. So, Outback was nearby so we went there. Our server checked on us often and brought us what we needed. I ordered the filet mignon with a loaded baked potato and a house salad. I always enjoy their salad. It has just the right number of ingredients for me. The dressing this time tasted a little bit off though. I always get ranch dressing. There was no other dressing I wanted so I just went with the ranch. It was okay. My steak was cooked just right. It came out pretty hot and the baked potato was very good. I did have to ask for more toppings because the first set have butter in it and I had asked for no butter. I also ordered two margaritas. They were made very well and hit the spot. read more

So my daughter wanted to try a recently opened Outback near Davie. I've always liked outback due to their reasonable prices and of course, the blooming onion. I ordered the combo ribeye and Barbie shrimp and although the steak was small it was very good. With full baked and Caesar: I ate the whole damn thing! My daughter opted for the regular (?) ribeye with a lobster tail. And that was amazing. Next time I will go for that. I ordered a pina colada and it was so yummy!! We were traveling and wanted a good fast early dinner, well some we got. Place wasn't crowded at all and they wanted to seat the us 3 of us in the small booth, we said what about that large one over there or a table? Got settled in and noticed some of the silverware was not too clean, so we washed with our water. Ordered a burger and 2 steak dinners with broccoli and baked potato, nothing that would take really long. We waited and waited for our food. We also asked our waitress to please turn the music down, it was so loud it sounded like we were in a bar. She said, sure we could turn it down, but it sounded the same. Finally after about 45 minutes we got our meal, which was good. I used the ladies room and that needed some cleaning. All in all food was good but the ambience and the time we waited was just way too long. We were not happy travelers. read more
