THE GODZ have given me a meal spot THE GRAND LUC CAFE in South Florida and FRANKS LOVES IT. Now I dine at the GLC in Las Vegas all the time so finding a location while chilling in Florida brought tears to my eyes. We just drove alligator Highway and needed a savory meal for lunch prior to checking into our hotel. Now we're sitting inside and our menus are open only to see our favorites from Vegas are served here. Hello it's time to order and a bowl of tortilla soup ( amazing flavor ) , followed by the ultimate meal starter the BUFFALO CHICKEN ROLLS. Well, if you don't know about these rolls you're seriously missing out on one of life's greatest appetizers.. A buffalo wing chicken combo diced , deep fried in a flakey wrapper. Once you eat one you'll be fighting your dining partners so order a set for yourself. Now for my main coarse it's the FRANKS new favorite item on menu and it's the Chicken Jambalaya. Served over white rice a savory lightly spiced medley of sautéd veggies & diced chicken chunks in sauce. No worries you won't be breathing fire due to creole flavors but it's remarkably spiced for flavor not heat. It's a meal you'd want if you were on death row it's so good. Grand Lux Cafe never fails me and along with the food the severs are friendly, knowledgeable and earned our tip for quality service. Inside its high ceiling keep the noise low but it's a gorgeous dining area. Granted it's a large menu being served yet everything is fantastic and we shall return either to this location or Las Vegas very soon. What a brunch of goodies at this place. I want to apologize yall my camera barely ate but hopefully this review serves some justice. We made a reservation (on Yelp) for 3 for their weekend brunch. They do it Saturday & Sundays from open until 2pm. We went around 10 and there wasn't a lot of people on a Saturday which was great to know even with a reservation! We ordered the following: Cold brew: it is made from concentrate and not actual beans. It has good flavor but towards the end of drinking it, it did taste a bit plasticky - probably would go to regular coffee next time Beignets: they have an in house bakery that makes their own goodies. The beignets are crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Think of a brioche style fluffiness. It came with a fudge sauce and a white bourbon cream sauce Breakfast combo: it is 2 eggs any style, sausage or bacon, hashbrowns, and pancakes. It is served with a butter maple syrup and it is amazing! The pancakes are nice moist and crispy. Seriously so delicious! Definitely will be coming back for brunch! read more

Hi!!! I've dined here multiple times and I'll say this was my least favorite experience there. I've posted positive reviews about Grand Lux in the past but things weren't as enjoyable. Party of 8. Visited on 03/14. No one really enjoyed their food. We're not sure what happened this morning but everything tasted off. My eggs with American cheese looked like it was just thrown on the plate and was flavorless. The bacon was EXTREMELY salty. Service was ok. The server was cordial but....sometimes a smile will go a long way. We will return because this is one of our favorite spots. read more

First time here, as I am a tourist, and I enjoyed my visit very much. The restaurant is similar to Cheesecake Factory. The menu was extensive with lots of different options to choose from. Lots of seating and server was attentive. You get complimentary bread with your meal. I ordered the Garlic Chicken ($24.50 USD). Very large portion and very filling. Flavours were great. I would recommend this dish. The Cajun Shrimp & Chicken Jambalaya ($27.95 USD) was great too. Portion was massive. Spices were great, and many pieces of shrimp and chicken. My first time at this location. I miss ours in California. The Grand Lux Cafe has all types of cultural food for everyone. Great place to dine with family and friends. While visiting Sawgrass and walking 30 miles in what is more of an amusement park vs a mall, your appetite has a tendency to kick in. Seeing as this place was within the Cheesecake Factory family we decided to have dinner here. Service was excellent from beginning to end. Walked in, waited a few minutes and sat down. Ambiance and lighting is similar to Cheesecake Factory but a lot quieter, now that could be because of the time or area, but definitely better in my opinion. All the food was delicious and if you want to have a delicious dessert then make sure you order the baked cookies prior to finishing your meal. They were fresh, crunchy and delicious, add a glass of milk and you may not be able to move after. The entrees packed a punch, specifically the Thai chicken.. think of like a Kung Pao chicken, crunchy, spicy and addictive .. the Asian nachos were a great start with the wonton, sauces and chicken added.. the steak frites weren't anything to rave about, I preferred all the chicken entrees everyone else ordered vs mines. We started with the calamari and fried cheese appetizers -- both were excellent and honestly set the bar high for the rest of the meal. Crispy, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. For my entrée, I had the BBQ cedar plank salmon. It was good, but compared to the starters and desserts, it didn't quite stand out as much. The apps and desserts really stole the show. The butter cake was out of this world -- rich, moist, and paired perfectly with the ice cream, strawberries, and whipped cream. We also tried another dessert layered with whipped cream, chocolate, and crunchy bits, which was equally indulgent. Both were amazing! On top of the food, our waitress was wonderful -- so friendly and attentive, which really made the whole experience even better. Wasn't too loud and wasn't too busy which I loved. One of my group has a service dog and they didn't bok at her which is always a plus for me. Overall, the food was great (with apps and desserts being the stars), and the service was excellent. Stopped for lunch here and sat in the bar area it is conveniently located by the Sawgrass Mills Mall in north west Broward county. Plenty of free garage parking is a major plus. The service was quick, professional & accurate by very a focused group thank you! We ordered from the lunch menu but we found the portions not very generous for the price paid we had the pasta pomodoro chicken with spaghetti which had 3-4 small pieces of chicken the rest was pasta-disappointing also an Chicken Parmesan with Brussel Sprouts tasting really well had a delicious tuscan vegetable soup. Came here for Black Friday to enjoy a late lunch/early dinner. We didn't realize it was a weekday initially but we ended up getting this cool lunch special bento box. We were seated promptly and our waitress was great. (Her name slipped my mind but she reminds me of a Barbie doll!) Got to chose soup salad and an entree for the bento box so I got clam chowder with bacon and a Caesar salad which were amazing. They are not like Cheesecake Factory where they automatically bring out bread....you have to ask for it, so we did, but no brown bread only a sourdough. I ordered some lemon chicken bento box and my starters were great but my chicken tasted like rubber/plastic so it was not edible. Everything had so much flavor prior to that, but that dish was a no. My friend got a pot roast kind of bento box which she said was delicious and our girls got kids burgers and kids Alfredo which they both loved. When I let the waitress know my food was not good, I was willing to pay for like a soup and salad since I did enjoy that and they took it off the whole bill. It was a nice gesture and I would go back because they were so accommodating. It was quiet for it to be Black Friday but it was nice. I guess that just comes with the territory but as good as it was I most likely won't order it again. Sweet potato fries were very good, I love how they make them here. Something to note is that if you have a shellfish allergy, their chips are cooked in the same frier as the shrimp. Annoying that they do that given how many people have allergy restrictions to shellfish, but what can you do. I'm glad they at least asked. Everyone working there was nice as well. read more

Wow. The portions here are huge. Was at Sawgrass and stopped in for dinner. We started with the jalapeno cheddar cornbread which was to die for. It had drizzled syrup across the top with melted butter in the middle. It was amazing. We had the Miso salmon which was so good and it had a nice Char on it and the lemon chicken piccata. First time dining here and everything was fantastic! Very low-key on a Monday night and our group of five appreciated the quiet section where we were seated. This was my first time at Grand Lux Café in many years. I came for a retirement party and was able to sample the happy hour apps. I loved the potato spring rolls, asian nachos, mini César salads, fried zucchini and fried calamari. Everything was delicious. The fresh crusty bread with butter was also delicious.
