Third Space Coffee is a local-owned PNW inspired cafe on the third floor of the Sheridan Center. Limited parking available at the building lot. Metered street parking nearby. The service is very friendly. The environment is welcoming. Limited seating inside and outside of the cafe. They serve coffee drinks and pasties. My boyfriend tried their Mount Hood aka Marion berry cold brew. The cold brew is bright and refreshing. The Marion berry cold foam is sweet. I enjoyed my hot St John's. The brown sugar cardamom syrup was delicately spiced and not-too-sweet. I'd recommend this drink hot! We shared a gochujang cheddar spam scone, warmed. The scone was cheesy with a little kick. The bits of spam almost tasted like bacon, fatty and delicious. Overall, this cafe is worth a visit! Support local! The couple who run and operate Third Space seem like the kindest people. Third Space Coffee just opened in the 808 Center, on the third floor, directly above Katsu Zen. It shares the space with Cake M. I had The Bluff: an iced London Fog with marionberry cold foam. Floral, not too sweet , and refreshing. They have other signature drinks and if they're like The Bluff...definitely worth a try. A few baked good are available. Nice cozy, interior. There is outdoor seating. Hours are from 730a until 200p daily; the exception is Tuesday, when they're closed. Parking: valet though there are 3 stalls available for a term of 15 minutes...if you want grab-n-go. read more

I'm not a huge coffee enjoyer, but the owners here have put together something special here. And that something special is the marionberry cold foam. They make the foam in house and is inspired by their time in Portland, Oregon. It comes on top of two of their signature drinks - The Bluff and Mount Hood, which I recommend highly. The foam has a great fruity touch that balances really well with the drinks. On the other hand, I'm a huge pastry enjoyer. I really enjoyed their lemon poppy seed scone and their spam & cheddar gochujang scone, which they also bake in house. And yes, you read it correctly; spam, cheddar, and gochujang as a scone. You might be thinking "does it work?". It absolutely does, it has a very unique savory flavor where you can't stop, but to finish it all. To top it off, you can enjoy your coffee and pastry indoors or outdoors. Both are nice options. Outdoor seating is especially nice when the weather is clear and sunny since it's on the 3rd floor. read more

Learning my third space... After asking it's a social personal space away from your home and work which is the first two this couple has created their dream of creating their own "space" and jumped right on in on this space in the 808 Center which I think is amazing and envious to hear to just enjoy what you do. I entered on their second week at this space it was filled with folks enjoying their space as well that they share with Cake M on the third floor as I sat on one of their indoor seating is nice as I sipped on a cup of signature drinks Iced Cedar Hills which has a touch of cinnamon so light and refreshing sip was very nice as they use coffee from Oregon does bring back nostalgia from my visit from that area as well. Got St John's: latte w/homemade brown sugar cardamom syrup. Unlike other cafes, I can taste the espresso and the drink is not overly sweet; but next time I would get 50-75% sweetness if possible. I liked how they use PNW beans (usually on the stronger side; I tried Sterling Roasters before and it was good but not my fav). Inside is cute and cozy but on the smaller side, be prepared to share a communal table. There is also ample seating outside (can be hot tho). Unsure if there is any wifi since I did not use it. There is only street parking, but Walmart is also nearby. Would come back to try other drinks! read more

Breakfast at the 808 Center in Honolulu, Hawaii... Scrolling through my Yelp app, a Hot New Business appeared... Third Space Coffee had great reviews and a 5-star rating... I had to explore! I found free street parking on Sheridan Street. I caught the elevator to the third floor where the cute, bright space is shared with Cake M. The workers were so friendly and helpful! They asked how I found out about their business. I replied, "Yelp". It was challenging to select a beverage from the menu. Everything sounded good. I chose Cedar Hills because it seemed the healthiest with a pinch of cinnamon! The honey, vanilla, and brown sugar were just right - not too sweet, but smooth and creamy from the oat milk (slight upcharge for dairy substitute). I also had an Everything Bagel with cream cheese. It was super delicious because of the slightly crisp toasted edges. The chewy middle was satisfying! They said that the bagel was from Big Time Bagels, a local small business. Yum! Third Space Coffee is a new coffee shop on the 3rd floor of the 808 Center - in the same space as Cake M. The cafe itself is very cute and cozy. They have a variety of coffee and tea drinks. New PNW inspired coffee tea shop located at the 808 center! They share a space with Cake M so you can get a drink, a savory pastry, and a dessert all at once! They just soft opened today (6/27) with hours of 10 AM - 2 PM until they extend for their grand opening. A great place to lounge with your friends since they had indoor and outdoor tables or a quick pick me up back to the office. Very aesthetic and well-lit coffee shop if you need to get any work done. I got to try The Bluff, Mount Hood, Spam & Cheddar Gochujang Scone, Bagel w/ Pizza Cream Cheese, and their Haupia Chia Seed Pudding. I absolutely loved everything but my faves would have to be The Bluff and the scone! I haven't had a London Fog since I visited Seattle and they blew it out of the park with their rendition of it. And their pastries are HUGE! Easily shareable and with the amount of cream cheese they put on it, you can order a second bagel! Absolutely love their signage as it's inspired by their doggo Kuro who I luckily got to meet. I have high hopes and wish them nothing but success on their new journey :) read more

Since two of my favorite coffee go -to shops recently closed down, I am on the hunt for another shop around kakaako/ala Moana. Making pour overs shouldn't be so difficult but I still don't know how to do it. While third space doesn't have a large selection of pour overs, the Kenya pour over that I had today was great. In fact, I think it was a tad too strong that I had to add water in it. Their menu has some interesting drinks. Wish that parking would be better though and that they open earlier. My daughter and I found an awesome new coffee shop in the Keeaumoku neighborhood. It was so lovely to meet Monica and Cameron. The Costa Rican coffee was excellent. We tried the ice coffee with Marionberry foam and the iced chai latte. We also tried the spam gochujang scone. This was a real nice surprise as we have never tried a breakfast pastry with spam in it but it totally worked and was so delicious. Mahalo for the great service and morning brew. Third Space Coffee took over Cafe Lapin's corner in CakeM. Their Portland inspired drink menu makes them different from other coffee shops around the island. I believe they also import their coffee and tea from Portland. Despite their PDX theme, the very sweet couple who owns third space grew up in Honolulu but discovered their passion for coffee in Portland! I went during their soft opening and a random Tuesday morning and I can say their quality was consistent. I think my favorite so far is "The Bluff," as I love iced tea it was a nice London fog with a perfect amount of sweetness from the cold foam. The cold foam they used was unique, it's a marrionberry flavor which I haven't seen other cafe's (on island) use it before. Oh, and I believe they make their syrups, pastries, and cold foam in-house too! I would definitely check them out, they have great options for any coffee or tea lover! After leaving Blaisdell Arena, I was looking for a place nearby where I could sit down and enjoy a good cup of coffee. I came across this shop on Yelp and I'm glad I stopped in. I chatted with the owners, who told me they had just opened about a week earlier. They also shared that they recently moved back to Hawaii after spending 12 years in Oregon, and they brought some of those coffee influences with them. They recommended the St. John, describing it as tasting like a crisp fall evening in Oregon. It was a unique flavor that really stood out. My husband and I live in the area and were excited to see this new coffee shop open up, especially as a few of my other favorites have recently closed down. We had such a lovely experience and went back a few days later! The shop is very cute with some assorted seating indoors and some tables outside (bonus as the outdoor tables are dog-friendly and the owners seem to love pups). We really enjoyed our coffees - my husband had an iced americano and I tried their mount hood, both were excellent and mine was particularly unique! I really wanted to love this place because I think the concept is fantastic, but the drink ratios were unfortunately off during my visit. The matcha latte tasted like straight milk, even before sipping, I could tell by the pale color that it wouldn't have much of a matcha flavor. The London Fog was slightly better since I could actually taste the earl grey, but it was also a bit milky. Looking at photos of their drinks online, what I received looked different, so I might have just caught them on an off day. I plan to give them another chance once they are completely settled as they're still new and when I went it was busy. read more

The very first impression when we walked through the door was the smiling faces of the young couple who are the owners. The smiles never left their faces. That was followed by the really welcoming surroundings that included little touches that make the shop a place where you felt joy. I had my favorite coffee drink, a mocha. It was excellent. My wife had one of the specialty drinks. She liked that as well. We also had one of their tasty scones. I particularly appreciated the comfortable seating, a feature our neighborhood shop has not adopted, preferring seats that say "please don't stay". Not so at Third Space. These are stressful times. To be at a place where you really feel welcome is pretty nice. We will be back. The other nice vibe is the energy you feel from the young clientele. We were the oldest, by far, but we certainly felt welcome. Parking in the building has always been weird, but there is ample street parking, so that does not pose a problem. Also, there is ample seating both inside the shop and outside as well. We love coffee shops. This one hits all the marks. read more
