I never thought I'd say this, but Raising Cane's just gave me McDonald's energy. This happened at the E. Hampden Ave location in Denver. They close at 2:00 AM. I pulled up to the drive-thru speaker at 1:40 AM and sat there waiting. After about a minute, I started saying, "Excuse me?" a few times. Absolute silence. So I drove around. There was a car at the first window literally waving someone down. Looked like they needed ketchup or sauces because apparently that's the only way to get an employee's attention after 1:40 AM. When they left, I pulled up around 1:43-1:44 AM and had to wave someone down myself. The employee finally opened the window, and I immediately noticed she wasn't even wearing a headset. So the drive-thru wasn't being ignored by accident--they just weren't taking orders anymore. She asked, "Do you need something?" I said, "Yeah, I'd like to order." Her response: "We're closing down." Me: "Don't y'all close at 2?" Her: "Yeah." Me: "It's 1:43... not 2." Her: "I know." So I asked, "If it's not 2 AM yet, shouldn't you still be operating?" Her response? "Uhhh..." That pretty much told me everything I needed to know. I just said, "Don't worry about it." She asked if I was sure. At that point, why would I still want food from a place that was actively trying not to serve customers? Wait here's the best part... The manager was standing right behind her the ENTIRE time and never stepped in. Look, I understand wanting to get out on time. Everybody wants to go home after work. But if you're getting paid until 2 AM and your doors are open until 2 AM, then maybe... hear me out... serve customers until 2 AM. I've always had Cane's right behind Chick-fil-A After this? Y'all are drifting into the same lane as late-night McDonald's, and that's not a compliment. If you want to close at 1:40, then change the sign. Otherwise, honor the hours you advertise. read more

I ordered 2 box combos, 1 with an Arnold palmer iced tea and one with a water bottle. When I mostly finished my iced tea I opened the lid to eat the Ice and immediately saw a disgustingly dirty piece of finger nail in the ice. I called to complain and before the person transferred me to the manager I heard him ask for her and she yelled "bro who the f*ck is it?" They then put me on hold for a minute and once she picked up she told me they could only refund the drink. I need a refund for my whole order for this disgusting inconvenience. There was an issue where the digital menus were not working, but staff could recite the whole menu from memory. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious as always from Raising Canes. Brand new location! Across the street from Whole Foods and next to Chase Bank. This new location offers all the original and amazing menu options any Raising Cane's does. All staff wore masks and social distancing was enforced. I did not dine-in but it looked like their inside dining area and patio were open! The drive thru offers two lanes so make sure you don't get stacked up behind someone else! I got the Box Combo! 4 crispy chicken tenders with crinkle cut fries, Texas toast, and coleslaw! I got a lemonade and they colored it green for St. Patrick's day! The chicken was so crispy, hot and fresh! The fries were delicious too! I also loved the Texas toast! I got mine as a BOB (Butter On Both sides). Personally I don't like coleslaw but my friend ate it and thought it was good. I don't believe I have ever had a worse experience at a drive-thru. My order was taken with no problem, but when I reached the window, the name and total given to me was wrong. No big deal; I'm pretty sure the girl who took my order was new. Now, when I informed her what I had, she closed the window in my face without a word. Kind of annoying, but still, not that big of a deal. Now she comes back with a bag of food. And when I look in, it is not at all what I ordered (Box combo - extra sauce, extra toast). I ask her if I can tell her my order, and she assures me that she knows what my order is. I forget exactly what she recites to me. Needless to say it was incorrect. I remind her what my order was, she closes the window without a sorry, without a word. Now the benefit of the doubt is lost and I'm pissed. I see a whole squad of people assembled inside now to try and bring this box combo out of my imagination and into my car. A few minutes later a new face appears, and let me just say, 'unfriendly' does not begin to describe her demeanor. Shoves a bag of food at me. "Have a great night," while already slamming the window in my face. Look inside the box, there are two toasts this time, huzzah! I don't know what has happened since this place opened. It used to be great. I come once or twice a week on lunch and lately the drive thru that has two ordering spots is always closed down to one, and the line is wrapped around the building. I've been in said line now for 20 minutes and it's barely moved. I'm stuck now and there's no leaving, otherwise I'd go elsewhere. The last few times I've received my food, the chicken fingers seem to be super small in size. For what you're paying for this place, you'd expect larger portions and better service. This has to be the strangest drive-in experience that we have ever found. One needs to circle the actual restaurant about three times to be able to order. Even getting into the road leading to the restaurant is an adventure/mystery. A friendly employee will meet you to take your order after making several circles but you have no way to see the menu before placing an order unless you do it online. Once you actually get the food, it is quite good. A restaurant consultant could make major improvements in terms of actually being able to place an order. Food is delightful for a fast food restaurant. Service is good. Facility is clean. Early afternoon they get a lot of middle school kids who want to hang out...don't be alarmed if management gets a bit short with these kids... All in all a great place to eat fast food. My teen daughter loves this place. I think it's meh. So what I like about this place is that if you go before sundown lol you can get all your food hot and fresh with no issues. When you go later, especially through the drive thru, you run the risk of getting cold fries. The strips are always hot, which is a plus. The cane sauce is a great accompaniment, actually it's a requirement because the chicken strips are bland as f. which is confusing because they are very juicy, so they must be marinated to some extent. But for anyone who says the strips are the tastiest they have ever had, then they need to be evaluated. The sauce, which is a requirement is what give the strips flavor, there is no flavor that comes from the chicken whatsoever. The service is also better in day. Late at night, going through the drive-thru, you might get into a spat possibly- not all the time, but most I would say. Also, they stay open late, when you forgot to thaw something for dinner, you can come here and get hot & freshly prepared chicken strips. I had to stop and order from a worker several feet away from the menu, who stood next to a sign giving me only five options, all the same combo except different numbers of fingers. O-kay. I was thoroughly impressed with this location and its amazing service. I am visiting from California and usually frequent my local Cane's and they could learn a thing or two from the staff here. Everyone welcomed us and brought our food to us (something that doesn't happen at every location.) I am not high maintenance and can pick up my own food, but while we were filling our drinks they brought it to a table for us without us even having a chance to get it ourselves.
