Us Davis Location is not operating within advertised hours. After accepting my order placement I arrived at the storefront at 2:20 and was informed that they are closed. The attendant sweeping in front of the door rudely shrugged her shoulders as I attempted to explain that I had placed an online order and your current advertised hours show you close at 3am Monday- Wednesday, and 3:30 Thursday- Sunday. This is quite the inconvenience as well as lack of communication and customer service on part of the staff. Id suggest updating your advertised or actually operate within them ! read more

This is my first visit to Raising Canes and I'm pleasantly surprised. This location is clean and I love the decor on the walls. Staff is efficient and helpful. We got a platter to share and the prices are pretty affordable in this economy. The chicken finger is tender on the inside and crunchy on the outside. It's not super seasoned but I guess that's where the sauce comes in. I can see the appeal of the sauce but I love my fried chicken in ketchup so the cane side is kinda wasted on me. This has got to be the nicest Raising Canes I have ever been too! Not only is it super clean, but this Canes location is super stylish too! From the big Elvis painting to the fun disco balls hanging from the ceiling...LOVE! Customer service = A+ Food = A+. In fact, we had about a 15 minute drive back, and everything stayed perfectly delish! Nothing exceptional and it's usually one of those things that you only pick because there's no other option (yes, I acknowledge that you can get cravings for it but it's usually not the go-to). Food is good but chicken can be a bit soggy w/ little crunch. Fries are also a bit on the soggier side and lack that crisp at times. Overall, just kind of hit or miss. Unfortunately the fries me and my friends ordered were super salty. Every time I go to Canes, I always say that the chicken is lacking in flavor, and as someone who is not a fan of the canes sauce it is very apparent when having the chicken tenders sauceless. I will say that the chicken is very juicy, but still did not satisfy me because of the lack of natural flavor. Walked in an order, and picked up a 3-finger combo recently with extra Cane's Sauce, and the size of the chicken fingers were really a letdown. The sauce was still great, preferred over ketchup for the crinkle fries, Texas Toast good. No slaw with this combo, as opposed to the Box Combo or Caniac. #shrinkflation Fountain drinks were self-serve, including tea, but lemonades were behind the counter. I did not realize a pop off the highway in Davis is actually downtown Davis and Raising Cane's is right in there. We had to find parking, which on Sunday, downtown Davis was bumping. I was impressed during my last visit to Raising Cane's. The food, service, and atmosphere were all good. I stoped by on a Saturday afternoon during a busy lunch rush. There was music playing in the background, so I had a little trouble hearing the cashier when I ordered my chicken sandwich combo. I don't know if it was due to my aging ear drums, the music, or his tone of voice, but it was all good in the end. They got my order right and served my food quickly despite how busy the restaurant was. The first thing I noticed when I got my combo was that the fries were cooked perfectly. They were crisp had a nice golden brown tint to them. They went great with the Cane's sauce I ordered. It only got better from there! My chicken sandwich was hot, juicy, and stuffed with chicken fingers. So many, that it was a little challenging to eat. I like a messy sandwich though, so it was alright with me. I guess this is the only chicken place in Davis so I get it. I guess it's popular bc it's open on Sundays! IYKYK but it is all about that sauce. Was looking for something quick to grab to munch on the way and nothing was popping out until I saw a Canes sign off the HWY and fate decided for me! Had to flip a U, but by worth it! I was hoping there was a drive thru but there wasn't. The location was starting to get busy as dinner rush for a weekday sets in at 7pm. We're home for a family emergency and I had to fly my kids out here to meet me. I have to go through the loops to get a gate pass and pick my kids up at the airlines gate, so I was in a hurry. I don't come home often, but when I do, my kids really enjoy stopping by raising canes. The closest one is 4 hours away from us. So I figured I'd do something to bring spirits up. I placed a mobile order for the Vacaville location around 330/345 that was supposed to be ready at 4pm. They were busy so I gave some grace. I've worked food service before. I got my order at 412pm. I didn't check before leaving, since I was in a hurry. Unfortunately the sauces were missing, so I stopped by the location in Davis (I'll review them later). I stopped by Davis with the receipt and Moises (manager at Davis) and Bryce (someone Moises talked to working in the kitchen) said I could only get the sauces if I called Vacaville to call Davis to replace the sauces. Did that. Gabriel (Vacaville GM) told me calling wouldn't resolve the sauces being replaced unless I was to drive back to Vacaville or get a partial refund (whopping $3 for sauces). Long story short... I was issued a partial refund from Vacaville. Now we're here with dry and soggy chicken... Food service and customer service isn't what it used to be. I'm more upset that Moises wouldn't give a direct answer and had me calling Vacaville... which I could've done on the road instead of sitting at the restaurant. read more

It was my first time trying Raising Cane's ever and it did not disappoint. There are a lot of seating options inside. Although it was fairly packed when my friend and I went, we were able to find booth seating in the corner. The walls are nicely decorated with picture frames, posters, and vinyl records. The workers were accommodating when I asked them if they used any nuts (e.g. peanut oil) in their food because I have a nut allergy. They double checked in the back and reassured me that they used canola oil, but handed me their nutrition guide that included allergen info so I could further confirm. I got the 3 finger combo which includes 3 big pieces of chicken, fries, toast, and a drink. Everything tasted great -- the chicken was super tender and juicy, the fries were crispy, and the toast was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
