While KFC now specializes in oil soaked, wildly overpriced poultry and Popeyes entombs everything (chicken, fish, hush puppies) in the same acrid batter, Canes is crispy, light and fresh. There was a lot of hype surrounding this place. I wasn't sure why, so I wanted to try it out myself. And it did not disappoint! I went here on a Saturday evening and the lines both for the drive thru and inside were crazy, but they seemed to be moving at a very steady pace. The ambiance of the inside looked really cool as well. I ordered the 3 finger combo to go, which came with 3 chicken fingers, fries, Texas toast, drink and one side of Cane's sauce. The chicken was absolutely excellent, highly impressed! The sauce and toast were great too. However, I wasn't too impressed with the fries. First time we went to try their chicken. Place was busy. They did not have anyone where the tables are to clean them or to ask you if you need anything else. They only have two sauces honey mustard and Kane sauce. They need more sauces not enough variety. No sweet sauce or ranch. When you arrive inside you don't know where to order or where to wait. They should have signs that says order here and pick up here. The Kane sauce was very salty. The chicken was gods tasty and moist however lacked flavor like KFC and Chick-fil-A. Wanted to stop by and see what all the hype is about. This is my first time at a Raising Canes; the everymans Chick-fil-A. Speaking of that comparison, it's apt, because this place is dealing with the same level of hype, and the same level of CROWDED. The drive through was monsterous, so we decided to park and head inside, rather than wait 30 minutes for "fast food." Inside was no better. Wall to wall people. The crowd was OVERWHELMINGLY young. A LOT of teens and young adults eating chicken. The place was clean enough, considering how many people were here, but the tables could have used a wipe down or two. I wasn't really that hungry, so the Misses and I decided to split a meal, which was a DAMN GOOD DECISION because, holy shit is this place expensive. I read that the owner of Raising Cains has a net worth of 9 Billion dollars, and now I see why. We got, and split, the 6 tender meal. Now granted, it comes with 6 tenders, fries, coleslaw, a slice of bread and a drink, but it's not like the serving size is enormous or anything. That meal is, ahem, SEVENTEEN DOLLARS. In the world of fast food, that is a FORTUNE. $17 for some chicken tendies. Yikes. I think splitting the meal is the absolute way to go here. Now, AGAIN, I want to be fair here; the tenders were DAMN good. I would give them the #1 spot in the chicken wars, if I had to rate things. I didn't really fawn over the sauce that everyone rants and raves about, but it wasn't bad. The staff were fine, if a little bland, but there were no obvious knocks on Raising Canes. They DO serve every meal in a plastic box, which I'm sure will fire up the environmental crowd, but there was a bigger issue to me. Every box is a large box, but every trashcan lid has a small hole. There's no way to throw your box out after eating. Maybe there's some process with the box I'm unaware of. It WAS my first time here. *shoulder shrug emoji* I would be back for the chicken tenders alone, but I'm not sure how often I WILL be back, because I'm just absolutely unwilling to have to wait a long time, and pay an exhorbitant amount of money for fast food. It's why I LOATHE Chick-fil-a. Maybe if the hype dies down a little, I'll consider a return trip. I also think the location is less than ideally placed, as it's on a corner lot of a very busy area. There's not a lot of room to manuever as is, and the Raising Cains crowd is competing with Applebees and Target customers for right of way. read more

First time I've ever been here and I normally don't eat fried foods cause I'm afraid it's gonna be too greasy and heavy, but this was not greasy at all, the chicken fingers were perfect. They were tender and juicy and lightly fried perfect level of crispy not greasy just perfect really and cause I don't like coleslaw I got extra french fries and the french fries were really super delicious and same thing. It wasn't old oil. It was fresh oil and just perfect. My granddaughter chose chicken fingers as her birthday lunch. We were in the area so, I figured we would give it a try. They seem to be dealing with a few of the usual hiccups that a newer restaurant deals with. They need to remember to keep the front of house clean. Tables needed to be wiped down. It's not easy with the quick turnaround times. Beyond that, it was a fun lunch with the kids. The chicken was tasty and moist. The fries were crispy and well salted. The sauces were yummy. Always come for the food, but lately the customer service has been terrible. Worst Attitudes at the counter. The mumbling underthe breath, the face expressions and being rude to the other workers behind the counter is concerning. The food was good..... Customer service was super bad!! It was the worst customer service I've ever had! I went thru the drive thru and they were giving lots of attitude, and they forgot a my extra sauce and a whole cup of coke! Then I went to get it and I got yelled at by the worker. Food was OK, not spectacular. Ate inside - the dining room is small and the music being played over the speakers is very loud. The workers have to shout over the loud music (or use a loud PA system) and other diners need to shout to hear each other. The staff stops by to ask you how you like your meal but it is hard to hear them over the music.
