They lack low carb dishes but have the chicken lettuce wraps for an appetizer (huge portion!) I ordered the tofu and it was too sweet for us and they took it off the bill. Darn good. They make it work. The menu hosts different cuisines, namely Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese and Thai. The ingredients were fresh and the seasonings were on par with their particular origin. We did a late night, Sunday night take out order. That is REALLY a good test of a sushi restaurant, for me, as it's when you can see just how good their kitchen is. RaKuu? Their kitchen is QUITE good! Pro's: - priced well for the market - sashimi properly cut - good sized pieces of tuna and salmon is the spicy tuna and spicy salmon, respectively (no "mushy" chopped filling here) - great, fresh avocado in all the rolls in which it was an ingredient - really satisfying balance between the cream cheese (yes, we went nontraditional indeed) and other ingredients in the Philly roll Con's: - a little slow on preparing the order - tempura shrimp was solid as a rock, in the bad way - spicy mayo was neither spicy nor based in kewpie mayo (yuck). I tried RaKuu last week during their soft opening. Everything we tried was amazing. The ginger dressing was thick and delicious, the sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, and they even have my favorite ice. My husband got the specialty Ganseki and it was possibly the best sushi roll I've ever had with a surpringly complex flavor. The service was perfect. Everything seemed to be moderately priced. As soon as you walk in the atmosphere is really great, the restaurant is nicely decorated and everybody including the sushi chef greets you. We were seated at one of the booths and it was very accommodating because the restaurant has a lot of booths as well as tables so they're really good about social distancing and we must've gone in at a great time because our server was very friendly,he took our order very promptly and we got our food within five minutes after giving our order. Hidden gem! The first thing I absolutely love about this little corner of asian bliss is the variety of their menu. From great sushi to Pho, and Chinese dishes as well. I love that i can go to one place for variety of dishes. Their chicken pho is really good. But only a serving size for one, not your typical two ppl pho. Their chicken and broccoli is so damn good it makes my mouth water just thinking about. I adored them to make it spicy which made it even better. Sushi, well i truly loved it. I had the tiger eye roll and dragon roll. If you don't like seaweed salad then you might not like it, but i love it. I ordered other rolls but can't remember what the names were. The sushi is amazing, crab rangoons are delicious and not over cooked like most other places, won ton soup is by far the most flavorful I've had and tonight we just tried the chargrilled chicken fried rice.
