Again Raley's pharmacy does not let me down . I get a call saying my prescription is ready. I wait over 12 hours before going in because I know sometimes it's slow. I get their prescription is not ready when I ask why did you give me a call it was to see my prescription card. Then I was told I must have another prescription card which I do not. I've been going to this store for five years now since we moved to Fair oaks. The clerks and staff have been there for years and turn over seems low. They've watched my daughter grow up over the past 2 years since she's with me practically every time I go there. Everyone is so nice to her. From giving her balloons, to cheese at the deli to high fives in cashier line. She always loves going to the grocery store with me because of them and I'm happy to go there since they make her feel so special. I do not receive that friendly experience from any of the other grocery stores that we visit. read more

I come here weekly and I definitely prefer it over Safeway. I love the layout of the store, everything is so easy to find and they keep all items very well stocked and fresh! They have a large fresh food and vegetables section with both organic and non-organic options which I really appreciate. They have every and any vegetable you could be looking for always at a reasonable price depending on the season. I like that they have a large selection of yogurts, pasta and tortillas. And they keep all the baby applesauce in stock which my kids often eat. I have always had excellent service at the deli counter although during busy times you can be waiting more than a few minutes to be serviced. I have observed on many of my visits that they seem to clean the deli slicers frequently which is important. I have ordered custom cakes from the bakery as well as purchased pre-made cakes same day, they are always delicious! I am not a huge fan of their pre-packaged cakes as I find the cakes behind the glass cakes are a bit fresher. This location has tried some new things in the last year, like ready made family size dinners near the self-checkout area. I think this is a great idea. This location has everything you can possibly need including a pharmacy, Peet's coffee, a flower/balloon service area, a post office and a Wells Fargo. Plus at checkout you can collect points for a discount at their gas station around the corner! I don't just buy groceries here, I also buy art supplies for school projects and sometimes toys make it into my cart. I love Raley's and will continue to be a long time customer of this location. read more

I went into the store last week to get flowers for my mom. Dakota in the flower area was super helpful and helped me pick out flowers based on her favorite color. He even helped me pick out a card from the card area. Super nice! I tried to tip him but he said no thank you! This is why I shop at Raley's. Been shopping here for 25 years. Generally they are good but over priced. We just tried their Home Delivery Service and they got most of the items wrong. Wrong items, wrong quantities, crazy substitutions. Over all, a big FAIL! And it was a ~25% add on to the prices which are high to begin with. I can't recommend this service. And it was not the Home Delivery part that screwed up. It was the item picker that made the mistakes. Sad that they can't get it right when it really counts. read more

What an amazing grocery store. Yes, I know the food here can be a little pricey but you totally get what you pay for. The store is extremely clean and well organized. The staff are very friendly, I would have gave them 5 stars but some of the time they take way to long to bag your groceries. Yes, I know what a first world problem, but if I'm paying their price then I can complain about it lol. One of the best things I like is the fresh and amazing produce, it always looks so great. So if I am not going to buy all my groceries here I will usually purchase the produce. I only come to this store when I am shopping at my in laws house. So if you are looking for a great clean and well organized grocery store to get some food I highly recommend this place. Yesterday, while I was on my way to my daughters 9th birthday party, I stopped at the Raleys floral and gift arrangement department for some help. Immediately, I was greeted my Michelle and Cindy who offered their assistance arranging and wrapping several items I bought my daughter. During this encounter, Michelle and Cindy's cordial and light hearted nature entertained me as we ventured into a brief conversation that crossed the generational decades between us. I became so enthralled with their personalities that I was able to shed some of my anxiety over the party and all it entailed. Soon thereafter, I left with a big pink bag of items arranged with ease and creative genius. Props to the dynamic duo! read more

This has been my neighborhood grocery store for years. I recently ordered over 200 hams and turkeys from their meat department for our staff at Kniesel's Collision. They were very accommodating! We had to split the distribution over three days as we had 7 locations to cover. o problem for them! Additionally, they helped us load the items into our vehicle - super helpful! All the staff was appreciative of the quality of the meat products. Raley's helped us make Christmas special for our employees. Thank you!! read more

My husband and I have been shopping at this location for over a year. We like coming to this store as it is close to our home and we normally get good service. However, after leaving the grocery store this evening, I was quite upset with the incredible rudeness I received from the store manager ( short Asian/ Latin lady with dark long hair). I could not believe how rude she was while ringing up my groceries. First, I had an item fall from the top of my cart, it was a package of fruit. This lady seems completely annoyed that it fell and had the nerve, to tell me I did not place it in my cart correctly. Than , went on to tell me how I should be placing my items in my cart. As she was ringing up the rest of my items, she was throwing my food around and was in a huge rush. There was no one in line behind me, and I did not understand why she was in such a huge hurry. Several of my items were shoved in to bags, boxes were bent, bread was smashed and eggs broken. If that wasn't bad enough. As I was paying for my groceries I had put my card in the reader. I asked if I needed to swipe instead. The cashier, who again, is a lead or manager said " if your going to pay a head of me and not answer the question on the card reader, your card won't work." I told her that I did answer the questions but it said to swipe my card. Again very rudely, she replied don't go a head of me. If my son and mother in law had not been with me, I would have left all my food and walked away. This is absolutely unacceptable. The young lady that helped bag my groceries was not very kind either. She was not friendly. I noticed she was having trouble bagging my items, I tried to help her and she was so rude!!! The operator # 607768 I hope this gets to upper management, and is addressed. Wow, I've never been to such a full-service grocery store! Raley's has a Playcare Center for moms & dads to drop off their lil' ones while they shop. What a smart idea! There's also a drycleaning center, mailing center, Wells Fargo tellers, and cafe. All they've gotta do is set-up an area w/ cots and I could just live there! To top it all off, they've also got Wine Tasting on Fridays and Beer Tasting on Saturdays, along w/ complimentary appetizers. While on a beer run, we ended up staying and doing a little beer tasting ourselves. The "Beer Connoisseur" was very friendly and also informed us that they'd be adding in a Peet's Coffee, Raley's gas station, and an online grocery ordering feature in the near future. When I first moved to Sacramento in 1984 one thing that impressed me so much about the area was Raley's and their fine quality of meats, seafood and produce. I have recently seen a decline in their quality of all three, and I have not seen a decline in their pricing. I am finding sometimes better quality at Walmart, along with better pricing. Fresh produce, always very organized and SUPER clean. The only thing I complain is it's price but you pay for what you get. The store also have WellFargo Bank/ ATM and Redbox. This Raley like many others has a great section for baking, especially their tiramisu. I also love their "4 small desserts for $10" which is a great way to try different types of cakes. I also love the beef section which often goes on sale weekly. They do provide personal assistance to carry the groceries to your car. At this store, they now also offer e-cart which you can shop online and they will bring your order to the car when you're ready to pick up. Last but not least, I love their FREE quarterly Extra magazines which include amazing recipes with pictures. read more

I have been coming to this Raley's for some time now, but I recently heard about your e-cart program and while I was in the store shopping I stopped by the Customer Service Desk (where they take mail) and asked the guy at the counter, Dakota I think, about the e-cart service and he was so polite and explained it to me, and then another associate, I think her name was Rachel, came over and told me she was a shopper and explained how I could make notes about my items and everything. Dakota even helped me pick up a cool book of stamps, even though I forgot to get them at the checkout. I am thankful your employee's are this nice and can't wait to try out your e-cart service. And I will definitely come see Dakota for all of my mailing instead of going to the post office. read more

Really clean, you never smell any old fish or weirdness coming from the meat area. Their prices are just a little more than any other place in the same area that may carry the same items. Their customer service is SUPERB. Everything is so well organized it's a pleasure to shop here. Their produce is always picture perfect, down to their mini sprinkler system that makes sure my veggies are well hydrated. There is always someone willing to assist you when you need them and they help you out with your groceries if you have more than 2 bags. I have shopped at this location for more years that I can count. I am a Fair Oaks "hometown girl", who continues to stop at this location for its convenience to my work place, and school sites that we serve. Not ONCE have I been disappointed. I must give special shout out to the ladies in the deli, I LOVE that they always ask if I'd like to sample items before I purchase (the havarti is TDF!) I also appreciate the ladies (and the "Old Timers/Regulars" at the coffee counter.) More times than I can count, I've stopped here for items in the floral department. I've lost track of the staff members' names over the years, but one year we purchased $200 worth of live plants for a huge event downtown. Each plant was wrapped in color coordinated plastic film with ribbons (of MY choosing.) Stunning. I can report that one of those plants is still alive (and living at my home - SEVEN YEARS later!) Excellent location (rush hour visits can prove tricky, so I prefer to stop by in the morning.) A gem. I don't even mind seeing the occasional vagrant or other undesirable nearby, as the TEAM at this location keep it CLEAN, well stocked, and ALWAYS ALWAYS friendly! If I could give 10 stars to Rebecca, I would. My fiance' (who lives out of town) has a 75 year old father who is also a disabled veteran. He served in the military for 20 years and has one prosthetic leg. He fell on some hard times financially and because of my own job loss, I couldn't help him financially. I know I have donated to the food for families program that Raley's sponsors in the past. So, I called to see if they had any resources for seniors as this was just before Christmas. Rebecca answered the phone when I called and told me they did not have any programs at that time. Then she asked me to hold for a minute and when she came back she said she wanted to buy him some groceries out of her own pocket. What a blessing Rebecca is. She represents all the positive things that Raley's stands for. So, I brought him into the Madison Ave store and she paid for his groceries. What an absolutely beautiful person! If this post was based on just my experience today, I would be giving this a rating of FIVE stars, but I am including my other visits which has dropped my rating. I just recently moved into the Fair Oaks area, so I have been in this Raley's a handful of times and the service has been just ok... until today. Before I get to the great experience, I want to explain my experience prior to today. One thing I have noticed about this Raley's (compared to the Raley's where I moved from) is a decline in customer service. Each time I have gone through the check stand, it is very apparent that the customer doesn't matter. The checker and bagger spend the entire time chatting and pay very little attention to the customer. The only time I was spoken to was to find out what kind of bag I wanted and then to tell me my total. The rest of the time was dedicate to the two workers talking to each other. I have also noticed that they are so short staffed at the check stands that they pull people from elsewhere. I have been in a couple of times and couldn't get any help in the produce department. Each time I waited for someone to appear and when no one did, I went and asked another employee if there was anyone in produce. I was told both times that they were in the check stand. This is very frustrating! Who is going to help the customers in this department if their one worker is being used elsewhere? It seems like Raley's is losing out on sales when a customer can't get the help they need. How come the store can't have more employees up front rather than pulling people from elsewhere? Also, it's interesting that when I asked where the produce person was, there were two people standing down at the self checkout just talking and having fun. Ok...enough with the negative. Let me tell you about today because I wish I could have that experience from everyone who works at this Raley's. My husband and I were in the produce department and I was very happy to see a gentlemen working. As I approached where he was working, he turned and greeted me with a genuine smile and asked how I was doing today. He also asked if he could help me find anything. It was the first time I felt like I mattered as a customer and to top it off, he completely initiated it on his own. At first I didn't see his name tag because he had a jacket on, but when he turned to hand me a product I noticed his name was Dan. I then asked Dan if he knew where an item was outside of his department. Instead of just telling me the aisle number, he smiled and said, "Let me show you!". He was so nice to walk me to the product. I really wish more employees at this Raley's valued customer service like Dan does. read more

This Raley's was one of the highlights when I moved to Fair Oaks many years ago. Another highlight ~ Julie R. who always makes my day a little brighter when I check out. She's fast and efficient and always makes me smile, no matter how my day is going. In fact, she cares how my day is going! She's so outstanding that she even remembers to ask me about my cats and even remembers their names. It's this personalized service that keeps me coming back to this great store with great customer service from clerks like Julie R. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that feels this way about Julie R because I notice customers go out of their way to say "hi" to her even if they've been in other lines. My first time going to this Raleys, I just went to pick up a couple things and I went through the self checkout lane. Definitely a mistake, it was busy but wasn't busy enough to get thrown an attitude from an employee. Drezenaka, her name tag stated she was the Customer Service Lead which seems very strange because she didn't provide good customer service at all. I understand we all get overwhelmed but as someone who works in customer service as well you have to keep yourself calm under pressure and thats never an excuse to be rude. 1st. i had to wait for her to come back to the station to approve the bag i took which messed up the scale which is completely fine but when i looked back at her to see if she cleared it, she was talking to someone else. So i wait a couple more minutes, looked back again and she just stared at me and said "it should be fine". Then, my pin pad froze when I attempted to pay so I had to wait again for approval, when she comes to help she sounds irritated already and states" you must've tried sliding your card multiple times" I responded No because all I did was insert the chip as stated then the machine froze. and she proceeded to suspend my transaction and do it on her register. She gave me an attitude again when i walked up to finally checkout. Didn't say thank you, didn't apologize for any inconvenience, didn't really even look at me just handed me the receipt and turned her head. Considering also that this is a higher end grocery store the customer service is supposed to be at a higher standard. I don't think I'll be stopping at this one again anytime soon which is unfortunate because it is very close to very I just moved. read more
