Earlier in the day, I loaded my digital, personal offer, and sale advertised coupons in the app like I usually do. This happened a couple times before when loaded coupons or offers did not apply at time of purchase. Raley's has an ad sales price, sales coupon price, digital coupon, and personal offer pricing. 3 of those require an e-account. Grand idea if their e-system consistently works, which it doesn't.

In the rare occasions when I'm not able to find something I wanted, it's because it's something so obscure I wind up having to either ordering it online or making a trip to some hidden specialty store in the Bay Area to get it. I've been shopping here for a couple of years. There's another grocery store that's five minutes from my house, but I drive the 20 minutes to shop here because the overall experience is so much better. Today's trip really stood out to me because of a couple things... while I was at the deli waiting for the clerk to work on my order, at least three other employees came up to me and asked if I was being helped. I've been to other stores where I've stood at a counter for literally 5 minutes, watching employees going out of their way to not acknowledge me. That never happens here. Then I was really taken aback by how the peppers and mushrooms were displayed. The fact that whoever stocked these mushrooms took the time to turn every mushroom cap side up and arranged all the portobellos the way they are speaks to a dedication to quality work. You can tell that in this store, nobody half-asses anything, and the employees take pride in what they do.

After scanning my return code, was instructed to place my item in one of the provided plastic bags. Only my item did not fit inside of the bag. Do I just slap a label on the item without the bag? Hmm. None of the FAQ applied to my situation. ie, Item too large for Dropbox? Nope, it will fit inside of that just fine. Too many items to fit inside bag? Try separating them into individual bags. Nope. Only had one item to place in the bag. Sooo. Since it was none of the above, I pressed the get help button. Mainly to see if I was just supposed to forgo the plastic bag part. The kiosk instructed me to wait for an associate and the red light came on. No one came over to help. Had to extend the time on the kiosk 2x. Finally, a RUDE worker came over to let me know that his "preference" was for me to go to the service counter. No apologies for the long wait or lack of signage or instructions to go to the desk. There was no signage stating that employees prefer customers to come to the desk instead of waiting at the kiosk. As a first-time customer, I followed the kiosk's instructions, which told me to wait for an associate. When one finally came over, I was rudely told it was their preference that I come to the desk instead. If that's the preferred process, there should be clear signage or the kiosk should say so. I can tell you what my preference is: clear instructions for customers and courteous service. My preference is also to never return here again.

I love Trader Joe's, but I don't go very often so I like to pop in when I have the chance! They had a wide range of beautiful flowers so we picked up a few bundles to make our own bouquet. I finally picked up a jar of their Bourbon Vanilla Bean Paste that I kept seeing - I tried it in my coffee and it was so good! The ambiance at a Trader Joe's is always the same - well stocked and organized. I even like that they display their different items out in front and they also clearly mark new items. The chickpea flour is currently on sale for just **$0.38 per pound**, down from the regular price of **$3.89 per pound**. I was getting ready to fill several bags from the bulk bin when Mario from the produce department let me know they had an already- filled opened bag with just a couple pounds of the contents missing about 38 pounds in the back. That saved me the time and effort of emptying the bin, which probably would have taken close to an hour! Mario taped up the bag securely, I checked out and Mario even brought it out to my car. I love the convenience of having a large scale Asian Grocery store in Folsom for when I'm visiting…read moremy family nearby. We like to take mom to South Sac to go to all of the stores but sometimes we just need a couple of items real quick and that is where this particular store comes in. The store is located in a large shopping center that is not very busy at all. There is always plenty of parking available and the parking lot is very easy to navigate for a quick in and out. That's nearly impossible to do at the popular Asian grocery stores in South Sac. The store is never super crowded and plenty of space to shop at your leisure. The shelves are well stocked and the store itself is always very clean. One of my guilty pleasures here is the fried fish. You can purchase a whole fish from the seafood section and they will fry it for free. We always ask for it to be "extra crispy" because we eat it at my sister's house that is about 10 minutes from the store. Always crispy and tasty. They also have a hot food section with a variety of pre-made items and some dim sum as well. All in all, a great option to have in Folsom.
