This Raley's is the anchor for it's shopping center. As true for any Raley's the price is higher than most other supermarkets. However, you get what you pay for, sometimes you get even more than what you pay for. I found a ham at this particular Raley's for about $6 and it was a 10 pound ham! I got a great deal and if you keep your eye out for them you can find them too! I've never seen a mess in this store, all the shelves are kept nice and tidy and only once in my 4 years of using this store have I ever encountered a mispriced item. On a side note. Staff are friendly 95% of the time. I'm not sure if it's the weather or what, but sometimes the staff is grumpy, which is why they will receive a 4 of 5 stars rather than a 5 of 5. Keep in mind that this is not normal, most of the time when I've come into contact with staff they have been wonderful, other times, they can be very passive and pushy. Overall, I recommend this store if you have the money to spend. read more

Always plenty of parking. Super clean with a lot of fresh veggies and fruits. I really like their organic section. Some items are pricier, but I will take cleanliness and organic items over price almost everyday. (unless Im broke). The lines are always short. They even have 2 redbox machines inside. Combine those with the 2 redboxes accross the street at Walgreens, and you will always have something available when you search with your phone app. The entire plaza as a whole is clean and offers a good variety of items ranging from cleaners, restaurants, to beauty. I almost forgot to add the Raley's gas station for convenience. read more

Love this store. It's so convenient. Not only is it a grocery store, but it also has a deli where you can get freshly made sandwiches, a pharmacy, a post office, and a money center. The employees are always polite and helpful and the store itself is spotless. The produce is fresh and varied. There are many options to pick up a quick meal when you don't want to cook as well. The wine and spirits section is huge with a great selection of craft beers. There is also an option to place your grocery order online and pick it up outside. It can be a little pricey, but I feel that the quality and convenience make up for slightly higher prices. read more

I have always based the location of my place on 2 things. The proximity to my job and the proximity to a Raley's. This is one of the best grocery store I have ever shopped at in the Sacramento and San Joaquin Valley. The produce and meat are very fresh. You can get canned, dried and packaged foods anywhere (though Raley's has a wide selection of these products too that beat most stores, including SaveMart and Safeway (double yuck)), but if you want fresh produce and meats nothing around here beats Raley's. The isles are always clean and the shelves are stocked and faced. The service is great too. The BIGGEST downer on this place is their insistence to wrap already packaged raw meat in 15lbs of plastic. UGH! Stop it already there is enough plastic around the damn meat without adding more at the check stand. Oh and when I say paper I mean PAPER only, not everything in a plastic bag placed inside a paper bag. My only hope is that when Sacramento bans plastic shopping bags Raley's will stop providing them at all their locations up and down the Valley. Overall, this is just a nice place to shop, but you're gonna pay for it. My rating 4 stars! read more

This has got to be the worst Raleys I have ever shopped & the employees are the worst. My mom slipped on crushed tomatoes she didnt see on the floor-while the produce manager watched her-& then they wouldnt even take an official report when she asked to make one in case she was hurt. Countless calls to the manager proved pointless. The employees in the meat dept are the absolute worst, rudest people i have ever encountered. They refuse to help in any way & this has been several times. Will not be shopping there ever again. read more

I'm thoroughly disappointed in this Raleys and the customer service I received here. Not so much from the store (although they minimally did their part), but more so corporate. About a week ago we went shopping at Raleys and I had purchased one of their store made salads. The next day I took it for lunch and opened the sealed salad, as I was half way through it I noticed that their was A MOTH IN MY SALAD. I was disgusted, I called the store and asked the procedures in order to file a compliant. They took the lot number of the salad and said it would be a few days until corporate reached out to me, 7 days later I received a call from corporate saying I'm glad you didn't get sick but what would you like us to do. At the end they refunded me for the salad, but was not proactive in finding a solution but instead just said sorry.. if anything I was this review to warn people to be aware about their premade food and if something does happen do not expect corporate to do anything. read more

I came here because USPS emailed me and said that I had a package that was delivered there. I thought this was weird, but I needed my package and headed there the next morning. I walked in and I seen a sign stating that the post office service that was offered there was not going to be accepting packages or customers. I seen an older, short lady with dark hair who worked there. She was up front by the self check out, the store was NOT very crowded considering the Covid-19/coronavirus. The worker was not busy or assisting anyone and when I asked her when the postal service will be open, she just said very rudely "indefinitely", turned around and walked away. I was pretty shocked by how rude she was charteringi askeda simple question, I guess she didn't have the skills to handle such a complex question and was not taught any manners as a child. The rude lady wasn't even doing anything except standing around trying to look busy. I don't remember her name, but she was short, old and had dark hair. I've shopped at this Raley's a few times before, but i won't anymore. Ask the other tunes I've come have been pleasant, it cutie been the stress from the coronavirus, but it still doesn't mean she should be rude and disrespectful and inconsiderate. I'm half her age and worked retail before and never was rude to a as customer even with the dumbest questions in the world. I love Raleys on Floyd ave. However I was in there on Sat and went to the coffee shop and Rita was very very RUDE. I am writing this review because I was unable to talk to a manager. I am sure that management would like to know of this employee. But I do want to say this is the only time in the 11 years that I have been going there that I met a rude employee. So once again, I had a problem with the deli section. The first time, I had picked up some potato salad and bit into a clear piece of plastic about an inch square. I noticed that it was packed and shipped from West Sacramento. I took the carton back to the store and they said they would tell their Supervisor. Just before New Years, I stopped and picked up a box of donuts. Brown donut, white frosting, red, white and green sprinkles. Got home, took a bite, tasted something toxic. Could not sleep, got up next morning dizzy. Looked up symptoms online, couldn't sleep, headache, dizzy, diarrhea (sorry) and it said "food poisoning" These donuts were packaged and shipped from (once again) West Sacramento. I have never been to their store in West Sac. but I can imagine people who are not supervised and who don't care about doing their jobs. I guess I will stick to the new Savemart down the road. Farther drive, but I have yet to bite into plastic or get food poisoning from their deli. read more

Love this store! Always clean and the employees are super helpful and nice. Best customer service by far than any other grocery store in Modesto. The manager Christina is incredibly disrespectful and rude. I went in to buy some chicken today and I got one too many and as I was leaving she accosted me in front of the exit in front of other employees as well as other customers and yelled at me that I was scamming the store out of their chicken. She told me she would remember me and not forget me as she turned away, I took this as a threat. As I tried to ask her what the store policy was she turned around lifted her hand up and walked away. She attacked me and then ran so I couldn't try to defend myself. As she was walking away I tried to ask The Flower Lady what the manager's name was and the store number so I could call and make a complaint and she also turned around and walked away from me. So not only is the manager rude but they have also have other employees that don't care about their customers. I have never felt so belittled and embarrassed in public by a manager before, when I did nothing wrong. She could have easily took me aside and said that the limit was x amount and they'll let me go this time but next time for further notice but no, she just yelled at me and walked away. She is incredibly disrespectful as well as rude person I don't see how how a person so disrespectful could be promoted within this company. read more

Nice and clean but the cashiers are not so friendly or nice. They seemed bothered you go to them to check out. So I go the self check out and mess some thing up every time. I still have to deal with a cashier so now they have to fix what I messed up. Not a happy bunch of people. I try not to go here unless I have to plus the prices are crazy high. Why pay a higher price to feel like I did something wrong to a unhappy cashier. It's the closest store to me so I get stuck trying to run in and out for one or two things to save time and go home a little quicker. Maybe they will wake up on the right side of the bed one day. Last night I went and my cashier who has been there for years was spaced out. I was talking to her and she was looking at what was going on down the way at another register. Rude people. read more

I enjoy Raley's and although my experience has not quite lived up to the Raley's in Oakdale, it is still my preferred grocery store. This place is right by where I currently work, and I have to say it is one of the nicest grocery stores in Modesto. Now, Raley's is generally on the more expensive places to go for groceries. But, this place is worth it. The store itself is super nice. This is way better than the other Raley's in town. There is both regular and self checkout lanes. A word of advise, if you have never used a self checkout lane, then don't bring a full basket on your first try, Test the waters a bit with an item. You have to get the hang of it before you commit. Otherwise, you're gonna wreck someone's day. The products they offer in this place are like any other grocery store, so that doesn't matter. The thing that I dig about this store the most is the gas station and convenient store the have next to this place. The prices that they have in the main store apply outside as well. So if you need something quick, you don't need to hassle with a huge store or long line. The staff at the gas station are super nice. One thing hat they don't sell at the gas station are tall cans or singles of adult beverages. You have to go to the main store for that. The gas is a bit more expensive, when compared to the cheaper places in town. Also, if you need? They have a car wash too. This place is pretty awesome if you don't want to travel all over the city to get stuff done. read more

really upset with my floral arrangement, i spend $80 on flowers for my wife that only lasted 1 day, some of them didn't even bloomed and die quickly, at first they looked nice thats why i purchased them but didnt even come with the package to put onto the flowers or anything, i am never buying any flowers at Raleys ever again. read more

When this store opened 7 years ago, I was ectatic! There was a nice store just a block away from my home that is walking distance! Whenever I would enter the store I was constantly greeted by genuinly nice staff members and always questioned in a nice manner whether I needed any assistance with anything. NOW when I enter the store I don't get any of the above. I admit I do still go there to purchase some last minute items that I need for my kitchen. I just recently went the store this weekend and asked one of the staff members whether they have this particular canned item in stock. She did not make any effort whatsoever to call in the back to check or have one of the bagboys check. She just simply told me what they have there on the shelves is what they got and to check tomorrow. REALLY???? I have been shopping here since the darn store opened and they didn't want to make the effort to help me for just one minute???? Also...they do misadvertise some of the items in their store...for example the cookies buy 2 get one free sign is posted . They have all the cookies bunched together on the shelves...I was told only the smaller cookies are included in that deal not the jumbo...WELL JEEZ WHY DO YOU HAVE ALL THE COOKIES PLACED IN CLOSE PROXIMITY??? They need to square that away. Well checker was very quick to tell me that ...and she wasn't friendly about it. So basically I had it with Raleys on Floyd AVE. I don' think they will be getting my service anymore..... PROS: Always clean, fresh produce and seafood. Bakery staff are nice, and gas station staff. CONS: Too pricey except on Sales, Most of the staff are not that friendly nor helpful. read more

I will ONLY get gas here. Their gas lasts forever! Great service when I have to go inside too. As far as the actual grocery store goes- it's a little more expensive than most but it's always clean, well stocked and the deli/ bakery is great. The checkers are so friendly and there are always people on the floor asking if you need help finding anything. I'm always in & out here, the check out is so speedy compared to other stores. I was referred to this bakery from another grocery chain because they can duplicate a picture on a cake. My husband is completeing his 30 year career as a firefighter in Modesto and I wanted to have a cake that represented his years with the department. I found the ladies that work in the bakery department to be very short and it seemed to me that they were experiencing unhappiness in the workplace. They were more interested in cleaning up and closing up than helping me. Since I knew nothing about their process in transferring pics to a cake, they insulted my intelligence by commenting on my educated guesses of what they needed to start and complete this project. I finally asked, "just tell me what you need to get these pictures from my cell phone to the cake." After a trip to Walgrens across the street to get the pictures to photo paper I returned to the bakery with them. One lady commented, "Well she's back." I asked if she was surprised that I had returned. After 15 minutes of taking my order, I simply said, "I think there is a communication problem here," that is not what I am requesting on this cake. She argued with me that I told her on my first trip to the bakery I wanted 8X10 pictures. (For heavens sake 3 8X10's would NEVER fit on the cake.) I felt like asking for the Manager and maybe he would be a little more accomodating. I was waiting for her to ask me what color of trim did I want around the cake. Honestly I don't think she was going to ask, so I asked her, her response was, "Well what color do you want?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME? REALLY? That should have been a question when she asked what kind of cake I wanted. Had I not brought it up no telling what color it would have been. The next morning I called to talk to someone else and to confirm the cake and add a little more words to the writings. As I told the lady what it was I started to spell it out, only because my voice is hoarse and raspy, she stopped me mid sentance and said, "I know how to spell, I don't need help." I couldn't believe it. NEEDLESS TO SAY I WILL NOT GO TO THAT BAKERY AGAIN AND WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE THERE REGARDLESS OF THE PICTURES ON THE CAKE. I am anxious to really see how it turns out, I am picking it up tomorrow. read more

My go to store, quality meats and produce. Always friendly staff. A little pricey compared to other stores but the quality is there.

Excellent quality of produce, bakery, meats, fish etc. Lovely to enjoy the shopping experience. Very clean, very lovely. All employees are friendly and professional, neat and clean. Store very clean and beautiful. The PHARMACY and PHARMACISTS ARE EXCELLENT, INFORMED AND VERY CUSTOMER ORIENTED. BEST PHARMACY IN TOWN AS FAR AS I AM CONCERNED. Entire store seems to value meeting customer satisfaction, which I appreciate. BUT at least 3x they have overcharged for publicized sale items. Once overcharged for items, despite that I alerted the checker to confirm sale price prior to her ringing up the items. Another time checker and manager overcharged on two items. That total overcharge of two items was $16. So one needs to watch the ringing up process. Watch closely. They were good and pleasant about refunding the money overcharge when I brought it to their attention. But 3 x in a month? But I love that store despite the high prices. So I try to purchase as much as I can when items are on sale. I purchase there about once a week. read more

My favorite thing about this shopping center is that it's free of undesirables (druggies, creepy weirdos). My favorite thing about this store is I can order my groceries online and pick them up without even getting out of my car. Lazy and proud.
