I come here because it is close, yes this store is expensive and yes it doesn't have a wide variety but I can get in and out fairly quickly and I don't have to load my groceries on a conveyor belt and if I have alot of groceries the bagger will walk me to my car. Raley's has been around for a long time and they seem to be reaching for the mid to upper end market. They do evolve their selection over the years and include a selection of organic and import foods. The locations are typically convenient. The staff are always friendly. Inside the store is way too crowded and the isles are too tightly spaced, though - this is a great area to improve. read more

Great customer service all around and the produce section and selection is well-laid out. They recently changed much of their produce to more expensive organic produce, even the iceberg lettuce. I joined the Something Extra club which gives you points on the items you purchase and every once in a while I get there when they are having either a double point promotion or $5 Monday's. Each time you swipe your card or you use the phone number associated with your account, you get points that go to you in the mail as a coupon discount on your items up to $20 off per quarter. Last quarter, I made $19. The cashiers are very helpful and polite and when they open up a new check stand line, they always take the next customer in line. I really like Lisa E. In the quick check line (15 items or less) and sometimes she's in the main check out line. She's fast, accurate and pleasant and I've known her for years through Raley's. The deli has delicious sandwiches that really fill you up and you have the choice of what goes on them. Once in a while, the deli has either California chicken salad with delicious grapes or curry chicken salad with cashews and it's delicious on Dutch crunch bread. There is also an eating area, Peet's Coffee and Tea and a selection of hot menu items such as fried chicken, macaroni salad, mashed potatoes and gravy. They have a "make your own" pizza cooler near the deli but I haven't tried that yet. The pharmacy is very accurate and usually not too busy. Bharti, a pharmacy technician, and the pharmacists, Glenn and (I think) Bill, always remember my name. You get points for pharmacy purchases as well. The beer selection is full of micro-brews and you get discounts when you buy so many as well as the wine selection. Doc, a checker, used to work at Raley's until he retired about 6 months to a year ago. He was the King of corny jokes who knew many shoppers by name. He used to be the wine specialist. There are also many workers that have been with the store for a period of years. Raley's also has their own brands of canned items (and such) that are just as good as brand name items, plus, they are cheaper. Often, I find 10 for $10 items on sale. Something Extra members get up to 2 free Raley's Something Extra magazines which gives you great recipe ideas, and information about new items in the store. People take their picture with the magazine on trips and send them into Raley's where they often publish their photos. I wish they had a sushi maker at this store but they don't have a lot of extra space. Easy to find on Keystone to the North of I80 across from 7/11 and AM/PM across the street on seventh from Jiffy Lube and CVS. Watch out for runaway carts as it is on a small hill. Always return your cart to the corral. read more

I love coming here. I love that it's so close to my house, I love the natural foods selections, I love their prices. Yes, it's not going to be the cheapest place in town to get your groceries. If you want to treat your body like a dumpster and throw whatever you can get your paws on for a cheap price, that's your choice. For me however, I appreciate the high quality products that my local Raley's provides. I've even dared to try their brand of organic items that I have throughly enjoyed. This location has a one night movie rental, and a Band of America kiosk inside. The staff is always helpful, and always very friendly. This location is always fully stocked, and always super clean-- another quality that I find is important when you plan on ingesting the products you are purchasing. Good work, Raley's. read more

Unfortunately I can't really drive back and at what point would it seen believable? So I'll part with the loss. I was so excited when we moved to Nevada to see a Raley's supermarket almost down the street from my house! I remember the days of shopping in Raley's when we would be vacationing in Tahoe and am glad to make it my local market. The store is clean, well organized, staff is friendly and the prices are great (compared to CA Safeway prices!). The produce is fresh and reasonably priced, nice selection of meats and fish and bulk foods (yeah, how I've missed that!). Thanks Raley's for making me feel right at home! read more

I've been shopping at this store for almost thirty years. Within the past few years, however, it has gone drastically downhill. I cannot trust the chicken from this market, and have been "elbow deep" into preparing dinner before opening the package and smelling rotten meat. The front manager doesn't seem to realize how inconvenient it is to stop midway through cooking dinner to have to come and return/exchange bad meat. She had processed at least a half-dozen returns of mine before I started buying bulk at Costco, and she never remembered me. The produce department also leaves a lot to be wanted. If you walk into any of their other stores you are greeted by vibrant, fresh vegetables and unbruised fruits. The quality here has gone way down hill, it's almost as though they get the other stores rejects. The only reason I frequent this store is convenience, however I have started doing a lot of my shopping elsewhere. read more

This Raley's has the best customer service of any grocery store I shop at. Any time I have had a problem, Jesse (I think he is a Supervisor), is always there to help and makes you feel great! I've had two instances. One was when the cashier messed up my WIC and it was this huge ordeal, the lines were backed up, and everyone was getting pretty antsy- Jesse came up, fixed everything, and was totally friendly. This morning, I had to return raspberries because they were not good- and he again, was totally friendly. Love Love this customer service! read more

This store is a great neighborhood grocery. We've been shopping here for about 10 years. It is well run and the employees are well trained. Some of the employees have been around since we started shopping there. Having good employees means the lines move pretty fast and they open up extra registers when a line starts backing up. For a small store, the selection is quite good. There are oddball things we've needed and I've thought, maybe Raley's will have it, and they do. They have a bulk section which is pretty nice. They are rarely out of the items that we want when we go shopping. The store itself is clean and bright and the isles are wide enough that they don't make you feel claustrophobic. Prices vary with sales and the coupons you can get with their "something extra" card. The Raley's branded merchandise tends to be pretty inexpensive, but I would say on other stuff the prices are a bit higher than other grocers. Occasionally you will find a deal better than anywhere else. Wine and liquor are expensive unless you buy 6 bottles or more where you get a 30 percent discount. Then it is a really good deal. The club card does seem to give you coupons for things that you actually buy and seems pretty directed in terms of giving you breaks on the things you regularly purchase. I don't usually like club cards, but it's new and I'm still giving this one a chance, they might just be doing it right. read more

Just moved to the North Reno from midtown and my new grocery store is gonna be Raleys'. One of my favorite aspects about this location is the large variety of organic products. Recently I've decided to live a healthier life and invest my money into good food for my body. With the help of Raleys I think i'll be just fine. Sometimes the cashiers can be a bit unfriendly and unprofessional, but I try not to keep high standards with young workers. After all they're just babies trying to figure out life let alone professionalism. read more

Avoid Raley's at all costs. The very creepy security guard (Adrienne?) felt it necessary to follow me around the store as I did my shopping this evening. There were probably three other customers in the store at the same time as me. At first, I gave her the benefit of the doubt because I wasn't really sure what was going on, but when it became abundantly clear that she was singling me out, I turned around and asked her directly "Why are you following me?". She immediately became defensive, raised her voice at me, and became increasingly incensed. At this point, another customer at the end of the aisle became aware of her tirade and was obviously shocked based on his expression. I honestly thought this woman was going to hit me or grab me based on her body language. And, given the current pandemic, I was really uncomfortable with how close she was standing to me without her mask on yelling at me. When I told her she was bad at her job because she was so grossly conspicuous and lacked tact, she told me to leave and that I was no longer welcome at the store. I said no, there were no grounds for me to leave considering I had literally done nothing nefarious and she has no way to enforce a ban. At this point, I think she realized I wasn't going to let her inflated ego intimidate me and she finally walked away. At checkout, I spoke to the manager but she could not have been more apathetic. She apologized for my experience and said that store security is provided by a third party company unaffiliated with the store. The fact that Raley's is permitting this kind of rogue behavior from a third party individual who doesn't have two brain cells to rub together speaks to how little they value their paying, law-abiding customers. I suspect that this store has a major issue with theft, but the actions of this "security guard" were entirely unjustified. So, I suppose if you enjoy being treated like a criminal in the absence of actually committing a crime, this is the store for you. I'll give my business to Safeway. read more

I have been using the E-Cart service for a year now and cannot recommend it enough. It used to take me an hour with 2 kids to do my shopping and I would spend 40% more than I do now. I can order from the comfort of my own home. The orders are always perfect and done with care. ANA is a fabulous employee who puts customers first. If there is ever a question about making substitutions on an item, ANA text me the morning of pick up to ensure I am ok with the alternative product. I am so very happy with Raley's quality of food, pricing and epsecially their organic produce, meats, fish and healthy options- more so than other grocery stores and at a lower price. Every time I've gone into this specific Raleys, and ask a question, I've got nothing but rudeness. They seem bothered by customers in general, Especially if You ask about a specialty item, or a vegan item. Not one manager knows what's going on in the natural foods section of the store. Nobody knows when things will be stocked. Nobody knows what a vegan is or what they eat. One of the people working in aisle six told me that my lifestyle and food is weird and that's why they don't carry those items. The level of rudeness at this store is beyond anything I've ever imagined. They need to get customer service skills at this facility as soon as possible. Would give zero stars if I could. read more

Yeah dude....I've been dealing with the shopping club card for how long now? maybe 30 years? Raley's, please stop it with the fucking club card, lower your prices. This place allowed a woman to take her merry time clogging up the register signing up for some rewards BS. I had the look of displeasure on my face during this ordeal, and when it was my turn, the cashier knew and made the situation worse by skipping the greeting and also failing to end the transaction with any thanks. Aside for this, the prices on some items are outrageous. read more

Why does this store seriously not have basics. This is the 3rd time I have been here for a normal item I could find at Walmart that they don't carry.
