This is my current favorite burrito shop in eureka. Great prices, selection and the food is delicious. Very much San Diego style burritos with lots of meat and great flavors, which I love. The green salsa has a nice bite to it which is usually unheard of in this mild controlled humboldt world. The customer service is also top notch, the only poor thing about this restaurant is the building, which is pretty run down. Probably my favorite local Mexican food so far. Born in raised in San Diego, I've really been looking for a good one and I'm pretty satisfied here so far. There have been a few inconsistencies but the value and quality really made up for that. I love fish tacos and I was impressed with the price so I tried them but my first few barely had any fish, just little crispy bits, not even a full piece. I gave it another shot and this time they were what I hoped for - a decent sized chunk of fish. Everything seems fresh and it's delicious. My only wish is that they deveined their shrimp. Everything was pretty tasty however the only reason for not giving this place 5 stars was the cheese on top of the rolled tacos was not melted. The guacamole was on half of the tacos and the cold cheese was on the other half. I would recommend they melt the cheese first. read more

Growing up in SoCal I had access to legit food, and this place is so bomb. Super stoked to finallllly have respectful Mexican food in Humboldt. I usually order a bean and rice burrito to judge a places ability to hit the basics proper. Nailed it. Carne asada nachos are super good, a full order is HUGE, a half is more than enough for one very hungry person. Prices are so on point, a burrito for under six bucks=heck yes. If I could give them 0 stars I would. I'm no food critic, but as a proud Mexican-American and food lover. This was utterly disappointing. Nothing that I ordered from the menu looked remotely accurate. My dad ordered Chile Verde con Carne... one did not look appetizing at all. The meat looked like it was dropped on the floor and used as a mop to pick up dirt, the food had no flavor. My mother asked for chilaquiles, the sauce looked like watered down version of what looked like only chiles blended. The tortilla chips used for the dish were the same as the ones used when put on your table before you ordered. They were clearly not given enough cooking time to soften. I almost wanted to just go into the kitchen and cook the food myself. I ordered Enchiladas, no need to explain other than it was just tortilla watered down in red food coloring. Overall the food would give any Hispanic person disappointment. The service was great which is the only reason I sucked it up and ate it. But it's not enough for me to ever recommend anyone to go and try the food there. It's not worth time nor money. read more

I ordered a crane asada burrito and got crane asada, pico, and guacamole I was excited because that is what I'm expecting. Most places in Humboldt add beans rice and cheese which ok but not what I'm truly looking for realistically that can be put on the side to make it a meal. The price is what it should be which I really appreciate and have told most of my co-workers. It is a small place seats about 20 people. My wife and I had an excellent meal there Friday nights (9/14/18); I had Carnitas and she had a Burrito. The food and atmosphere were excellent. I grew up in Imperial Beach in the mid 60's felt right at home. I like this place and plan on recommended it to all by kayaking buddies in Explore North Coast Kayak Club. Saturday morning my wife realized she had misplaced her purse. I returned to Raliberto's and after identifying myself and describing the purse, and my wife, a very nice woman returned the purse to me. Raliberto's not only has great food and is a nice place to enjoy your food, Raliberto's is run by nice honest people. What more could you ask for? read more

Ordered Al Pastor California burritos. Awful. The pork seemed to be boiled and not any sign of Al pastor. Basically chile verde pork without the verde. I went to Raliberto's for the first time today after driving by many times. I ordered (to go) their 5 taquito special ($5.95), a chile relleno burrito ($5.95), a soft taco al pastor ($3.10), and a side of pickled carrots and jalpeños ($1.00). The total with tax for lunch and leftover for dinner- around $17. Not bad. The food was quite good, some of the best Mexican food in Eureka. Taquitos, them call 'em rolled tacos were crispy and the shredded beef was very good as was the guacamole they came with. The taco al pastor was tender, and well seasoned. The burrito was the usual "big as your forearm" and very good also. It will make a good dinner. Dining room was minimalist, but clean. The waitstaff was friendly and prompt. I will be going back here. One the things I really like about this place is the hours. Most restaurants in Eureka are not open late. Raliberto's is now open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. This makes it a perfect place for late night diners. Other reviews have stated that it is cash only. This is no longer true. First time in here around 3:30 on Monday. I was excited to try it out because I've only heard good things about the food. That being said..... To the staff; get your SH!* together. The young man was pleasant but Sooooo absentminded and unprofessional and the woman was straight up rude and made it seem like asking for her to do her job, I asked for a water cup 3 times, was a nuisance. I tip well and in this establishment you tip before you get your order. Waste of $4 on an $7.00 meal. I ordered Super Nachos which came out basically stone cold; beans, cheese and meat.
