This is a taco truck. Cash only. They close at 6:30 pm. They're not open on Sundays. But it was recommended by a colleague. They recommended the street tacos and speedy burritos. I ordered the delicious tacos. I also got chips and guac, which were just ok. Fast service. They have picnic tables nearby if you want to eat on-site. read more

Chicken flautas, rice and beans were really good. Authentic food can be found here for sure. The service was quick and the guys were courteous. When I arrived, a previous customer had just had a seizure and the staff was helping the patrons out. They were offering water, paper towels, and the first-aid kit. The other reviews are correct. This is some excellent and authentic Mexican food. We had the Super Veggie burrito which was superb. The homemade horchata is some of the best that I had ever had. Speedy Taco Truck is hard to beat for a quick, inexpensive and delicious meal. These guys are really making some of the every best and quickest mexican food around the humboldt bay area. $2 tacos, $5 burritos, $3 tamales - its all good. The speedy tacos @ 2.60 are big, fat, fresh and full tacos and with three of them for under eight bucks is a great and filling meal. The carnitas and al pastor are both very good. Service is fast, friendly and always good. This is a CASH ONLY eatery. Walk up window service order at the right window - pick up at the left. There is usually a line during the lunch hours, but moves very quickly. Also during the school week lunch time hours this place can be overrun by high school kids ( the local hs is only a couple blocks away and they swarm this place at times) but it does move pretty fast, I've never waited more than 5-6 minutes even when there is a line of teenagers. If dozens of teenagers and all the noise isn't for you then plan accordingly to avoid during the lunch rush hours. A small shade covered area with a few picnic tables in front of the truck, makes for a nice place to sit and enjoy your food or take it to go. Quality food at a great price, and fast service - its why when you drive by this truck it always seems to have cars and people in front of it. Had an al pastor burrito here and it was probably the best thing I had during our entire north coast trip. That's not to say the other food we had was bad, and it is in full acknowledgment of burritos having a really high floor. But this is just a good one any way you cut it. I have to give this one only two stars. I was hoping and expecting a lot more. I asked people that had just finished their opinion before I ordered mine. All 4 people, Hispanic, told me they're just okay. I ordered two carne asada tacos and two chicken tacos. I asked for pico de gallo salsa, they did not have any. When he handed me my tacos I almost handed them back. The prices are cheap, but now I know why,, the tacos are extremely small. hardly anything on them.
