Can confirm: these dudes are awesome! I usually take my care in for an oil change at a dedicated oil change shop. But, lately, they have been ignoring my requests. I have been begging them to upsell me, and they have been refusing. Easy stuff to do: replace wipers, why does the wiper fluid come out?, and why is my engine light on? But they just change the oil, do nothing else, and send me on my way. I decided to try some place different. Many of my trusted Yelp friends speak highly of this place, so I decided to give them a shot. WOW! So glad I did! I got here at 8am, it was dark and my spirits were low. The guy at the counter was really friend, despite his computer system being down, and took down my information on a pad of paper. I grabbed a free coffee and my friend dropped me off at work. At about 11:30am he called to tell me that everything was fixed, except the check engine light. He explained the error code to me and the pros and cons of investigating further. I chose not to and he said my car was ready! The windshield wipers they used are tough, Alaska tough. Using the wipers is at least as effective as a skilled homeless person/road-trip-partner is squeegeeing my windows at a gas station. Really happy I got all these little nagging issues fixed. The heat inside the cabin of my SUV was blowing hot air with a smell of anti-freeze and the serpertine belt was squeeking. I took my car to Rallys to get an estimate and I received a call from Stan a few hours after drop off. The heater core was determined to be faulty and leaking anti-freze. The serpertine belt was also wore out and need replacing. The quote was for about $1100 to repair everything. Ouch! I told Stan that I have an extend warranty on the car and he called the company. Unfortunately, the warranty did not cover the heater core. They replaced the heater core which took 2 solid days. I picked up the truck, but after a couple days I still smell anti-freeze. I return the car back to Rallys and they did another diagnostic which concluded the radiator was faulty. They had to replace the radiator, which finally fixed the smokey and smell of anti-freeze inside the cabin. The manager Nick said that they guarantee all their repairs, which he took the amount to replace my radiator, subtracted it from my original payment, and refunded me $550.00. My car is now 100% operational and I thank Rally and crew for getting me back on the road. I've dealt with many auto repair shop in the past both stateside and oversees, but I have to say Rally is the first auto repair shop I have encountered to exhibit excellent customer service, honesty, and fairness. Incredibly fast service. Broke down one night and needed the car fixed by the next morning and Nick (owner) made it happen! The price estimate for a broken tie rod was around $300 for the alignment, repair and inspection. Because it was a quick fix, the inspection fee was waived and the repair came out to $80 less than what was expected. This place has been very dishonest, the two times that I have brought in my vehicle. The first time, they said I needed a tune-up & other services to my car. When I brought it into another auto shop, they told me I didn't need a tune-up, or any of the services Rally's told me I needed. A few months later, I decided to give them another try. I asked for an oil change. After I picked up my vehicle, I got home & checked the oil myself. Turns out my oil was never change, but instead, they added MORE oil, causing my engine congestion & not run smoothly. They also didn't put the correct fluid into the transmission!! I will never go back to this shop, EVER!!! Very dishonest & overcharge WAY too much! If you are looking for honest mechanics, go to R&R Garage. They are the best!!! read more

I was travelling in Alaska this summer and went to Rally for a repair on my truck. It started well, very friendly but they could not deliver, Changed the back wheel bearing and one front bearing, I had to go back for both repair ( front bearing broke and back differential leak because of changing the back bearings ) repaired again, no charge. The differential still leaked (got it repaired elsewhere but Rally paid for it ) Front wheel bearing broke again, got it repaired elsewhere I was on my way back to Canada, but then Rally would not pay for the repair, the bearing lasted 1 month. I had a disagrement on the payment of a towing, the conversation went through 911 and was recorded, when I confronted the manager with is mistake I was yelled at and he hung up on me. Cannot judge the intention but the results are unacceptable. read more

Took my car in because it was leaking ps fluid. I picked it up 5 days later, and it's still leaking. We were told it needs a new pump...it has a new pump. They were only replacing the hose to stop the leak. One star because I can't give less. read more

Additional issues: a further review of the invoice revealed DOUBLE CHARGING for the following: "BRAKE SHOES &/OR PADS - Remove & Replace - $169.40." It is impossible to Remove and Replace Brake Shoes without first removing and replacing the Drum. However, I was also charged "DRUM - Remove & Replace -- $36.30." "WHEEL CYLINDER - Replace One - [Includes: Perform ABS Automated Bleed Procedure] - $96.80." Also charged for "BRAKE SYSTEM - Bleed - [Includes: Perform ABS Automated Bleed Procedure] $193.60." "WHEEL STUD - Remove & Replace -- $165.00" However, it was a new drum ($115.26) which does NOT include wheel studs; therefore, there were no wheel studs to remove. Additionally, it is impossible to Remove and Replace wheel studs without first removing and replacing the Drum. Called owner who claimed that the labor for ordering the wheel was an "honest mistake." He finally agreed to send me a check, which never arrived. Filed a complaint with the BBB. OWNER FAILED TO RESPOND TO THE BBB. read more

I had them inspect a pickup for purchase. They missed over $2500 of front end repair that was needed including a leaking front wheel seal. They were so busy it took multiple days and phone calls just to get the vehicle back. Due to their ineptness I now have all these repairs necessary to make it road worthy. read more

Worst experience I've EVER had with a car repair shop. I got a different story every time I called. I was constantly told I would get callbacks, and didn't. They said on more than one occasion that they tried to call but I never had missed calls or voicemails. Initially I was told that the car would be looked at same day or next day. Days passed and I heard nothing. Then I was told they were still diagnosing the issue, worst case scenario the repairs could be done over the course of two days and that the parts were in town. Then I was told they had to order parts. Then I was told they got the wrong parts. Ended up taking 3 weeks. I finally told them that if it wasn't done that day then to forget about doing the repairs. I got it back at the very last minute that day. I ended up with problems that I never had before I took my car in. When I called to address the new issues and asked for an appointment since it was an issue that only appeared once i got my car back, he said they wont make an appointment, and denied that the new issues could possibly be caused by them. When I doubted him because of something the owner told me, the guy said the owner knows nothing and that he lied to me to buy time. He said he had to get off the phone and hung up on me. The first few appointments seemed OK - especially liked Nick's response until they weren't fixing the car completely. Brake issue took me three service appointments before they repaired. Meaning, they said it was fixed but it wasn't. Then, I took the car back for a power steering leak. They kept my car for nearly 5 MONTHS - telling me nearly every week that it would be done the next week, then Nick was on vacation for a couple of weeks and then it was fixed but they road tested and found out it wasn't. Every week it was a different excuse. I kept, mistakenly it turned out, trusting them. I called and called - left messages - no response. So, after 4.5 months, thinking they might have gone out of business because they weren't responding, I drove by. Seeing my car was still sitting outside in the snow, I finally got ahold of the owner. The owner was belligerent and non-apologetic about the status. I had it towed to another service shop who were able to diagnose the problem in one afternoon and repaired in two days after waiting for parts! I would never, ever, recommend Rally's to anyone. read more
