    Bridge over the duck pond.

I have been to this park a few times to play Pokémon GO. There is a $3 weekday, $5 weekend parking but you can park on the street for free if you don't mind the short walk. The park grounds are very clean and well maintained. There are no rubbish laying around, even on a busy day. The walkway around the duck pond is also clean, albeit the occasional/inevitable duck turd. It is a big enough park to do a 30-minute brisk walk, or a one-hour PoGo session (ha!) to spin all the gyms and stops that are scattered around.

First time here. There's plenty of street parking. Parking during the week is $3. And spring/summer hours are 7am-9pm. Winter/fall is 7am-6pm. Walking trail for a good 30-45 min walk.

Just had my son's birthday here. Shelter 1 had 4 clean tables and running water! It was perfect distance to a play ground with lots of grass to run around and put up a bounce house! We had lots of trees for shade and the pond was a nice little view!

This is a great park with both paved and dirt trails to walk about, with flat trails and hills for a nice workout. The park is very pretty, well maintained, clean and safe. There are plenty of picnic areas and pavilions, a history center, playgrounds, shade, grass, volleyball and more. The staff are always friendly. The restrooms are usually very clean. Weekdays are great when the park is empty! There is plenty of parking for when it is not so empty! Pro tip, though entry costs very little, purchase a yearly pass form Orange County (on line if you like) so you can visit all the parks all the time without having to pay each time. It pays for itself very quickly. You can renew it each year on line easily and it is very inexpensive! Great park. Orange County does an excellent job!!!!

Beautiful park To enter the park there is a small entrance fee. Otherwise park on the street. I've never had any issues finding parking. The park itself has a couple of softball fields, tennis courts, and lake. You can walk around the lake which you can easily walk around in 10-15 minutes. There is a hiking trail that is around the perimeter of the park. Parts of the trail is shaded but there are parts of the trail where you are exposed to the sun. I would recommend bringing a hat, water, and apply some sunscreen. According to my Apple Watch, I walked about 1.4 miles around the park. Not too shabby. It took me 30 minutes. Kids can definitely do it! There's plenty of picnic tables, restrooms, and trash cans. There is a nice playground too!

I was in the area for work and looking for a park nearby that had walking trails and greenery. This came up in my search so I decided to give it a try. Soooo glad I did. This park is beautiful, clean, well maintained and has lots of activities spaced well apart so you can almost feel like it's your own space. There is a fee to enter by car and park inside - I thought it was worth it as I didn't know the area and wanted to drive all the way around before deciding where I want to spend time. Note that many had parked on the street outside and likely walked in which is also an option. I started on the walking path. It's a nice wide, dirt path that circles the outside of the park. Great views, feels a bit secluded but still safe. I specifically came for walking and really enjoyed this option. After my walk I wanted to explore all the areas so I used the wide concrete walking paths to navigate around the beautiful lake area (with a small bridge!) and the grassy open areas. There were also quite a few playgrounds that families were using and many pavilions with a variety of seating options. You could find shady areas and wide open sunny areas as you prefer. I saw multiple people fishing and releasing in the lake. After my exploring I found a nice shaded park bench and enjoyed the scenery and a few chapters in my book. I would definitely come back here if I was in the area and highly recommend it as a nice park in this area.

Our first time at this park was a blast! The place is huge, with something for everyone. If you're into fishing, there's a catch-and-release spot to test your angling skills (the fish get to go home, but you'll still get bragging rights). There's a volleyball court for those who like to spike, a playground for the kiddos to burn off energy, and plenty of open space to just chill. The hiking trails are a great way to get some steps in while enjoying nature, and there's even a cute little amphitheater perfect for small gatherings. Plus, there are spots to have a barbecue gathering, so bring on the burgers and hot dogs! Oh, and enjoy the photos - my boyfriend moonlights as our personal photographer! I used to come to this park with my mum to do the little trail, but I hadn't came here in a while. Since they repaved the road, it is so much nicer to drive through. I think it was relaxing and lovely to come here when it's not busy, although I've never really been here when it's packed. I remember coming here for cross country a long time ago. There are bunnies, and a part of it is preserved. I also like how there is a total other half to the park on the other side of the road.

    fossils in the Interpretive Center

The paleontology exhibits in the Interpretive Center are underrated. Everything is from Orange County and some fossils were found at the park. The exhibits are mostly terrestrial Pleistocene (i.e., "Ice Age") animals with some older fossils representing marine environments from times when O.C. was under the Pacific Ocean. Interactive exhibits for kids (books, puzzles, etc.). On Saturdays the fossil prep lab is staffed by volunteers and professionals, and you can watch them process new fossils. The museum is normally open 10AM-2PM Wed thru Sat. Volunteers and Park Staff are there to answer questions or to provide optional tours for individuals or groups. There is no charge, other than the normal fee for parking inside the park.

A vast and quaint park. Perfect dog walking, nice novice trails. Ideal way to spend a gloomy and overcast Sunday

Do they charge for parking? How much? Thanks!

$3 Mon-Fri and $5 on weekends. Holidays have other pricing. Check website for more info.

    Do they have bbq grills?

    Yes

    Has the interpretive center reopened?

The Interpretive Center is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 2pm.

Are you allowed to take photos in the park? Like with a tripod?

It's best to call the office and leave a message. If you are a professional photographer, even if doing it for a friend, or if you're getting paid to do a photo shoot, you will need to obtain a permit from OCParks.com.

Parking was very limited at that time, so plan ahead if you're going early. Clearly, a lot of people know this is the spot for a serious workout. The stairs themselves are brutal in the best way possible. After about three rounds, my legs were completely done--but it's such an effective workout. This place really gets your cardio in fast, and you feel accomplished every time you finish a round. The views along the way make it even more worth it. We also came back later in the day around 5:30 PM. It starts to get a bit dark around that time, so that's something to keep in mind, but it's still a great experience and totally worth it.
