So I brought my bridesmaid dress in for alterations. I asked Jackie to shorten the dress and to bring it in a little because it was a little big on me. When I came to pick up the dress the length was perfect but the dress wasn't tight enough for how I wanted. Also the area of where she sowed the dress was all visible which I thought was weird. So with that being said she had to take in the dress more for it to fit me how I wanted. After that I took the dress home and it seemed to fit well. The day of the wedding the dress seemed to loosen up which was frustrating because I had to keep adjusting the dress all night. She also created a "Bustle" for me and for those of you who don't know what that means, it's primarily used to lift the long, elegant trains of wedding gowns off the floor. so called "bustle" was nonexistent at that point. So I paid $85 dollars and it seemed like the dress was only shortened because nothing else held up. I know that when I came in she was busy, so it seemed like she half assed the alterations to meet her deadline. read more

We brought in the dress to fit my cousin who will be leaving the next day, no problem for Jackie, she fixed it with no problem. read more

Honestly - do not have ANY doubts with your clothing when you take it here to be altered for any reason. I take everything here and she does an amazing job. it's about $5 per alteration. She can take any oddly shaped clothing that fits strange on me and make it look like it fits like a glove. She's incredible to go to and I always feel so much better with my clothes after it's taken to Jackie. read more

Had a horrible experience here. Sent in my jacket to get it altered with a new stripe on it. Simple job or so I figured. A week later I went back and the stripe was sideways not straight and did not look uniform with the other stripes. I asked them to fix it. They took another week and went back to grab it and looked better but didn't look very professional. I told them I am very disappointed and they are not lined up. Jackie told me to not be picky it isn't easy. Well telling me that really made me angry, I hired them to alter that jacket the way I asked and was dissatisfied with the results and asked for a discount. She said no the job was done. I will never return to this place and I brought my jacket elsewhere to get the fix they should of done for me since I paid so much for it and waited two weeks. Buyer beware they are not as friendly as you think and they won't work with you. My jacket is essentially botched now and it would of been cheaper to buy a new one with the stripes already on it. I was referred to Jackie for my wedding alterations by a friend of mine and I couldn't be happier with the end result and the service I received. Jackie truly wants every bride to feel beautiful and be comfortable. She makes suggestions that she knows will make you look better, but definitely listens and senses when someone isn't quite sure that her idea will work. (For example: she originally wanted to shorten my dress so it would be easier to walk, but she could tell that made me nervous because it was a lace dress and would have required way more than just a hem - and be way more expensive. So, she came up with a few other suggestions that I was more comfortable with.) Another note for brides: she is very understanding of the stress you're under. I was a few days late for my second fitting and because my wedding was out of town she had to rush the final (minor) alterations so I could take it with me. And she didn't charge me extra. I always felt confident, happy and excited when I left her store. The only slight issue I ran into was the strings she used for my bustle started breaking (sidenote: my bustle was the easiest I've every encountered - way easier to figure out than my sister's or friends' dresses) . I can't fault Jackie for that because when it broke I'd already worn it for many hours and had been jumping around on the dance floor a lot. I'm sure if I had said something about my dancing habits she would have put in reinforcements. Overall, a very happy customer who will definitely be going to her for my other tailor needs! read more

I've taken my clothes to Jackie for alterations for years. Jackie isn't just a tailor, she's a magician! She has re-made clothing for me that was still in good condition but looked slightly dated or no longer fit well. Jackie completely updated a Brooks Brothers women's wool suit at a fraction of the cost of buying a new one - looks fantastic. Amazing! I needed my bridesmaid dress hemmed and pulled up toward the top, and I chose this place because of the great reviews. I came in at 11 on a Tuesday, and it was a mad house. I overheard Jackie telling another woman that this is their busiest day/hour. But I was still in & out within 30 minutes. She was very quick with the adjustments, it was ready in 2 weeks & only $50! Very satisfied with Jackie's work at Ralph Tailors. I took my wedding dress in here after being quoted an outrageous amount from the bridal boutique where I bought the dress. I saw positive reviews online about Ralph Tailors and brought my dress in for a quote. Jackie explained what she would do, why she would do it, and then asked my opinion. Her quote was very reasonable (about a 1/3 of the price of the boutique for all the same work) and she had my dress done quickly. I referred one of my bridesmaids here for her alterations and have brought back work pants to be hemmed since then. All turning out great results for great prices. My sister has been taking her clothes to Jackie and suggested I go to her for alterations. I took in three pencil skirts that I needed hemmed about 2 inches. She quoted me at 16 for each skirt for the hem. These are typical pencil skirts, just cotton sateen, nothing fancy. When I asked my sister what she usually charges her for hems she said 4-5 dollars. Not sure why the huge increase in price. They need to have set prices listed somewhere so pricing is consistent for all patrons. read more

Jackie is an amazingly talented tailor! Extreme attention to detail! I took my wedding dress here, and she transformed it into a tailor made perfect fit! It only took Jackie about 4-5 weeks to do the alterations, and she quoted an extremely reasonable price! Jackie truly had my best interest at heart, and even though it took 3 fittings (monthly weight fluctuations, ladies you know what I mean...) she stuck to her original price and made sure the dress fit me flawlessly. Jackie created a sweetheart neckline, added tulle, sewed in a bustle, and made the dress more form fitting and flattering. Having your wedding dress tailored is such an important task, and you really want to be in good hands. I needed a bridesmaids dress altered on a serious time crunch. The Yelp reviews were good enough to convince me to go in. Its a very small mom & pop. Jackie is exceptional, her work and her personality. She is also fast. My dress was done within a week and it was very inexpensive. She didn't want to mess with the dress more than was necessary and that saved me money. You just cannot find customer service like this anymore. It was a great pleasure meeting Jackie and I will certainly return if I ever need anything altered in the future. The only downside is that they only accept cash or check but that is not at all reason enough to not go just inconvenient. I highly recommend! read more

I went to Jackie for alterations to a bridesmaid dress a year later. Again, she was spectacular. She knew exactly what to do with the dress to make it fit me just right. However, the only reason I have to give her four stars this time, is because of what happened when I went to pick up the dress. When she fitted me, we discussed removing the ribbing on the inside of the dress, because it made the area around the chest pointy, where it didn't make sense to be. We both thought it was a good idea, and we decided to do it. A friend of mine took the same dress to Jackie as well, and again they decided to remove the ribbing. However, the ribbing was not removed, in either of our dresses, when we went to pick them up. And, furthermore, the gentlemen who works with Jackie was too busy to fix it, so I had to help him remove the ribbing myself, in the store. Overall, it wasn't a huge deal, and I'm still going to go back to Jackie this year. I have another bridesmaid dress that will need alterations. I've also recommended Jackie to the bride. read more
