Other day, I didn't know how to use the Coin Star Machine voucher towards my groceries, so I decided to ask the short elderly lady at the self check outstation for help. Well, her first reaction was to roll her eyes, then she went to see her manager. When she came back to process the voucher, she told me, "you were suppose to use the voucher that day! Don't you ever do that again!" Hmm, she made me feel like I am a 48 year old child, and she was the only adult. lol I got to say this was my first time using the voucher, and I didn't know what to do with it. Also, the other employee who helped me previously at the Coin Star machine told me that I can use the voucher at anytime like a cash. I thought maybe she was having a terrible day, and I really didn't care! Any ways, when I was about to leave the store, and that employee told me, "If you need to speak to someone, that is the person you need to talk to!", and she pointed to the lady with short blond hair. At that moment, I was thinking maybe she wants me to pick a fight with her supervisor. Well, I had a short eye contact with that manger or supervisor, but she looked away and walked away very quickly. All I want to say is, what's going on with this location? Poorly and slowly restocked, indifferent union/sour attitude employees with their merchandise carts blocking isles and they feel real good about that. Slow to introduce new and popular products. I will never come to this Ralph's again. Ever. What horrendous customer service. I literally waited 20 minutes in line and there was only ONE person in front of me. Then they switched me to the next line and I waited another 10 minutes there - again behind ONE person. They had no baggers whatsoever. The staff was slow and chatty and spacey. Ralphs is the market in Agoura Hills that's in the best shape. It has the freshest food, the most pleasant staff, and the best selection. The big winner here is the consumer, as with their deal with Shell, you can get 10 cents off $100 spent a month or 20 cents @ $200 spent. If you do your normal shopping here, you get coupons and savings with the Ralphs Card (15% on 6 pack of wine is a great deal too), and gas points, which you can use at 2 gas stations within 2 miles of this particular location. The deli also has Boar's Head, so that should seal the deal for you. read more

I understand we are in the middle of a pandemic, but this Ralphs has some of the rudest cashiers and employees ever. The manager, Ladan, has absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever. Whenever I have paper coupons to redeem, she always examines them with a skeptical eye and looks for any reason to refuse them all while eyeing me like I'm some sort of cheat. The older, vertically-challenged female cashier who mans the self-service stations (I believe her name is Mita) is rude and bossy in the most unpleasant way. They both could learn how to treat people with respect and if not, they should pursue another career path. read more

Horrible customer service!!! I made line to purchase 3 deli sandwiches. When we asked who could help us...the response was I don't know we are busy. Seriously!! How about give us a minute we will be right with you. After waiting a man approached us and asked what we needed. I ordered 3 sandwiches. He then offered pre made sandwiches. Really guy!!! I waited for deli sandwiches not pre made. He then asked what type of bread. I chose from their menu. He sent me to pick my own bread because they did not have it behind the counter. He expected me to grab bread for him to make my sandwich. No! That's not customer service. I work in customer service and I don't expect my customers to grab their own food just because I'm busy. My friend worked at this location and was fired for bringing home chicken that would otherwise have been thrown away. He lives at a sober living that does not provided food and was sharing the food with the other people that live his house. He is a hard worker and a good employee. Recently moved from East Coast and I was horrified by prices of everyday food items. Finally discovers Ralph's on Kanan Road in Agoura. Their prices and quality are better than any other market. Vons Albertsons, Gelsoms and forget Whole Foods where you have to mortgage your house. They have a great selection, store brand excellent and best prices in SoCal We love their staff, warm and friendly and always ready to help. Their mark down vegetable section has perfect items that save us money and make me more creative in using fresh produce. My favorite new store. Has some kosher items but love to see more. read more

I used to shop here exclusively, until last night. The lines are short and the food seems fresh. Some of the staff isn't so friendly. Last night I went with a business colleague of mine to grab some dinner and a drink to bring back home while we worked on a project. I paid for my food and single drink. My colleague attempts to pay for his, however because his license expired and he didn't have his new one on him, they refused his purchase. I told the cashier to charge my card for the two items. They said no, the laws are very clear that because he tried to buy alcohol, first and failed, I could not buy it. I said that was okay, I'd go pick out something else for myself. They said no again, because I already made my purchase. I told them there was no law that said I could only make one purchase per night. I told them it didn't violate any law by me paying for my single drink then returned to make an additional purchase. She said I was done for the night and they were refusing my business. I was shocked. I asked them if they really wanted to loose my business. Someone who has been exclusive to their store for years. They said that's fine. I walked over to Vons and they were happy to sell me more than one drink. I'll be shopping at Vons now, where the people are not rude and make up laws. read more

Ralph's market 5727 Kanan Rd., Agoura Hills. We stopped in at this market on our way home Thursday night after celebrating Thanksgiving. We had a few things we wanted to get on our way home. The store is an upscale Ralph's market. I found it larger and nicer than most of the other Ralph's I've been in. Everything in this place looked fresh and clean from the produce department to the meat department to the cheese section. Upon checking out the cashier Marina C. Was very nice asked for our number to add points that we could build up and buy things with. See added our purchase to their database. She explained how the point system worked. Don't EVER get Ralph's "decorators" to decorate a cake for you. I ordered 2 cookie cakes, one was supposed to have a large dog paw on it and the other just some small dog bones scattered on it. The woman who took my order never told me that would be an issue--I even received a call the next day (party day) to confirm colors and design. When I picked up the cakes 2 hours before my daughter's puppy birthday party, I was horrified. The paw was tiny and looked awful, and the other... Well, you can see for yourself! (Photo posted in photo section.) There was one "dog bone" on it that looked more like male genitalia than a bone. The "decorator" had already left (lucky for them because they would not have wanted an encounter with this angry mommy) and the manager and other employee tried to make things better by apologizing (they should've let me know if was something they couldn't actually do) and trying to offer another random cake and Scooby Doo figurines, but really could do nothing except for give me the cakes for free because nothing else worked for our party theme. Ultimately it made for a good laugh amongst our friends at the party, but incredibly disappointing and upsetting nonetheless. I'll never order a custom dessert from any Ralph's again! read more

The lady at the cash register had a bad attitude, wouldn't help me bag groceries, going fast checking items, but crushing my vegetables in process, than I got help bagging , not to sound bad, but they couldn't speak any English. TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE... Leaving this Ralph's location last night, my friend and I were attacked for trying to carry our paid groceries out to the car in a basket. Due to the new state law, we did not have any bags (because we chose not to purchase any. Why buy bags when they give you a nifty basket right? Environment wins and my wallet wins) After we paid separately for our groceries, we put the items back in our respected baskets and proceeded to walk out the door. At no time did the scowl faced manager woman let us know that we were not allowed to use a basket to transport our groceries to the car. She did though, continue to chat it up with other employees while we were checking out. She waited until we had walked 2 feet outside the door of the store to start yelling at us, in front of all the other customers and employees, that this wast allowed. She then took my friends basket and started dumping all his stuff into a cart and telling us we couldn't use the baskets outside. Treating us like we were shoplifters. I've shopped at a hand full of Ralph's in this city, not a single occasion has any other store employee told me of this rule nor have I ever been treated so poorly! I felt like I had stolen something! Everyone in that area of the store turned and looked expecting the same from the way the woman manager yelled. She handled this situation like a pissed off teenager and not like the adult she appeared to be. My friend and I were both extremely embarrassed, we feel profiled. This has never happened to either one of us before and I guarantee if we were elderly people we wouldn't have been treated this way. This manager that is representing the store if giving you a bad image. I've seen this manager around the store before on different occasions, she seems more like a prison guard then a friendly helpful face. I have always felt uncomfortable around her but kept shopping at the store anyways because I've never known her on a personal level. Well, now I do and I'm sorry to say it but she sucks! Get someone in there that knows how to treat the customer right, Ralphs! I myself, friends and family will not be shopping at this Ralph's store anymore. WHY would you treat customers like this when your competitor is across the street?!? Von's just got alot more business. I welcome the Ralph's Admin to watch the tapes of this. I moved to the area recently - a long time Ralphs shopper I expected this store to be on par. While there are a few outstanding employees, polite and ready to help, there are far too many who clearly wish to be elsewhere, acting as if I'm burdening them, snippy and unapologetic. Try using the Western Union - they may as well take the sign off the window because it never ever works. Unless you specifically ask for help, there's no one offering to help you get your groceries to your car - and for some of us it makes a difference. But, I hate to impose but with this store everything feels like an imposition. I know more about employees' troubles than I ever wished to know. Get a counselor in there - there's something profoundly wrong over there. Here are the pluses: a few very helpful and friendly employees and a unique/ good selection of merchandise. read more

This used to be my most favorite local market. The variety of brands were exceptional, I knew where everything was on every row, the checkout lines always flowed smoothly and the staff were the friendliest and most helpful. The recent remodel has changed the entire feel of this store. I am very disappointed. They've reduced the variety of products, moved everything around and the shelves "seem" to be stacked higher giving the store a dark and closed in feeling. This is the closest market to my home and I frequently shop there. The prices and selection are on par with any market in the area. However, too many customers at this Ralph's think the law against bringing dogs into a grocery store doesn't apply to them. I frequently see people with dogs in their carts or holding them in their arms. Most recently I spotted a woman walking her poodle on a leash through the produce department. Store personnel turn a blind eye. Service animals of course should always be welcome, but there is no indication that these are service animals. They are pets of individuals who don't care what the law says and get away with ignoring it because of non-existant enforcement. read more
