Eric had gave us recommendations since he's tried everything on the menu. He was very patient and gave us time to decide what we'd like. He even helped me set up my membership with cold stone since I didn't have the app installed yet. Cold stone doesn't have indoor seating and it's small. It's very clean. On Friday, after exiting the LIRR I stopped in again to make a purchase. Staff was accommodating, I sampled at least 4 flavors and settled on 3 scoops (9.58) to go : Black raspberry with white and dark chips, cake flavor with red velvet and a marshmallow flavor. All 3 top notch and I nearly polished off the whole thing by myself at home. I was told the ice cream is made in small batches and the flavors rotate constantly. However the last time I visited was a bit of a letdown. we had a large party and were seated in back to back booths. I totally understand waiting to be seated on busy nights is part of the deal and appreciate the complexity that goes into seating large parties so my issue is not with that. Once we were seated it took about 15 minutes for a person to come over to greet us and take drink orders. Luckily we all knew what we wanted and put the whole order in at that time. After that, about 20 more minutes, I had to go up to and ask the hostess if they can bring over some water and drinks for us. We've been sitting for about 40 minutes at this point. All in all it was a busy night there so It's not like they did a terrible job. I just wish they paid a little more attention and had a little extra staff on board to assist in bringing out drinks and food. The food was delicious as it normally is so I'll definitely be back.
