This is a nice Ralph's in kind of a strange shopping center aka strip mall in Mission Viejo. They have beautiful flowers and they have a nice greeter that says hello when you walk in. The grapes are little bit less expensive and so are the cherries I might buy some since I'm obsessed.

I've just bought this liver in this store... Plus be aware at least half of the "discount" marked on the labels don't work because the are too lazy to update in the system or change the label

Drab and depressing store that is dimly lit, has relatively narrow aisles and doesn't have employees at the deli counter or at the registers as often as they should when they are busy. The employees seem largely unmotivated and everything I enter the Store it smells like a massive ashtray near the entrance (not accusing the employees but lysol the main avenues into the Store please). One area I would credit the Store in is the fact that the shelves are very well organized and usually fully stock -but that may be as a result of nor getting too much business. I want to support them and root for their success however with so many better options nearby I am only compelled to visit them as a last resort and in those few instances they have come through. Really hope the management and ownership do a deep dive into how things are going and identify areas of improvement because I want them to be a staple of our community and not an eyesore.

These are pictures of the other side of the" trimmed tritip", and the pile of fat I trimmed.

Yesterday late afternoon I sent my husband to Ralph's get a trimmed tritip on sales this week. When I opened it this morning see the other side hiding in the packaging, I just shocked to see 1 inch fat with some places even thicker all covered that piece of "TRIMMED" tritip! When I cut the fat off, it's More than a Pound! Ralph's is scamming consumers! It's absolutely disgusting!

Their freshly made hummus is certainly the creamiest I've ever tasted too. My favorite part of this market is their fresh produce section. It is reasonably priced and fresh. I had a question regarding bakery items, and especially for halva. The lady behind the counter was soo nice and helpful. Using my american farsi she was able to help me without judgment and guide me. Pro tip: you can order halva 2-3 days prior and have it made in small individual servings depending on quantity of people . For non persians reading this: God forbid someone has a funeral, memorial service, celebration of life, "halva " is something that is served along with "khorma" dates with walnuts. People like me, dont know how to make it. So its nice to know if that time comes and its needed , its an option to order ahead of time and have the custom items for our tradition to be available. The guy at the cheese/deli counter was also super helpful with me when ordering my feta bulgar cheese. We love our cheese, with walnuts. So since i was trying this one out, i decided to get a small size with the water in a separate container. Overall i like it here. Only issue, is the pricing. Mission ranch market a few miles down is more cost efficient and lower in cost for the value compared to here. So if you need to grab some items its worth coming here as it's closer. But if you are looking to go full in grocery shopping, i think MR market is better in terms of value and quality. Id come here and see for yourself.

And it's not like it's borderline or about to spoil. I open it up when I get home and it is completely open a window or you'll throw up rancid. I can tell the butchers know about it too because when I tell them they give me the worst attitude. I told them they keep selling me rancid meat and they should check it. They said "dont tell me how to do my job". I bought some spoiled lamb and the butcher told me that lamb always smells bad and I should to rinse it off. What?!? I know what lamb smells like. I know what rotten meat smells like. Rinsing it does not make it safe. I've given them too many chances and I'm done. I talked to the managers. I talked to the butchers. I even filed a report with the USDA. Nothing has changed. I'm surprised they don't have health code violations.

I'm not exactly sure why it feels like such a stark contrast, but it feels like the quality of some items diminishes by Saturday/Sunday. I'm very cautious when it comes to purchasing meat packaged by their butchery. Some of the beef appears brown in the store and if they weren't, they would turn brown within a day. I don't know if it's the way the meat is stored or processed, but it doesn't appear fresh or appetizing. However, if I purchase brands that are packaged by brand names, it's usually fine. The produce selection here is decent, but I feel it's not super diverse or abundant, even in peak seasons. For example, some of my favorite fruits are pretty limited in availability such as watermelon, white nectarines, or pears. It's possible they aren't prominently featured at the storefront or the entrances due to limited spacing, or maybe limited shipments. It's just disappointing to see such a small inventory. I think for me, it was a big shift in my shopping routine. I used to be able to find everything I needed as a one stop shop, but these days, I feel my basket is lighter. I come through out of convenience and have prioritized different grocers.

Surprised this was better than Seafood City... much thicker, meatier, and also tender and moist. LA, National/Daly City level quality imo.
