I called my local Redwing shoe store and it was going to take them 10 weeks to ship them off and get them repaired with the original style of sole that was originally on the boot. I decided to call King Shoe Repair and told them about my problem and they said to bring them by and they could find a sole that would work and I could get them back much quicker. I was able to take my dads boots by a few days later and I was able to choose from three different style of soles for my dads boots. We decided to go with the ones that had the most grip and that would last the longest. Needless to say I'm ecstatic for how well they turned out and how quickly they were able to get them done for a very fair price. The owner of the stores customer service over the phone is very personable, professional and not rushed. It was an even better experience meeting them in person. I wouldn't hesitate to bring any type of shoe here. Very pleasant and wonderful experience overall with fantastic customer service.

Whilst waiting for my Uber to leave the charming burg of Healds…read more I happened to be in front of this shoe repair shop and thought..."maybe they have an olive green colored polish?" This very morning I happened to put on an old pair of olive colored loafers and noticed that they needed a little love. I'm all..."This is perfect! It's meant to be!" So I go in and ask the gentleman manning the place, "do you have such & such color?" He says yes and directs me to said option. It's the last one of this particular color. But of course it is. How many people have olive green, colored shoes? Perfect! Let's make it happen. I pull out my phone to pay and he pretty much says, "there is a minimum and it's $10.00." There is a sign on the cash register as well. Totally understandable. I get it! I tell him "Sorry I rarely carry cash and I understand." He proceeds to say "it's fine, he'll let it pass this time." "Wow! Thanks. That's nice of you." Then he proceeds to start to scold me for not carrying cash! I tell him "well, I don't carry cash because I always end up spending it or I end up giving it to homeless people." He proceeds to pontificate that it cost three dollars per transaction and that he has to pay for it and that, what if there is a blackout and all the cash machines crash and burn and Armageddon and blah, blah, blah! I'm like, "no shit. I understand how it works." But you're the one who is foregoing your policy. I didn't ask him to do me any favors. Don't give me the green light and then let me have it for actually using it. If you needed the $3 bucks so damn bad, don't sell it to me then! I was willing to walk out of there without the Goddamned, polish. And in all actuality, I'm helping this guy move a color of shoe polish, that no one really uses and he probably won't inventory again until he needs another huge shipment. So, you're welcome Mr. Ramos. You're welcome for me, helping you, move an item that's probably been on your shelf for months, if not longer. Him bending over a nickel to pick up a dime, really left a sour taste in my mouth. Instead of being a gracious, small business owner, and absorbing the lousy $3 transaction fee. You made the whole transaction miserly and cloyingly annoying. Next time just keep your mouth shut and let the customer think that you're a nice guy who loves to take care of his customers. Continue to do what you do best and stay triggered. I was a fan until you got cheap on me. Needless to say, from now on, I'll be purchasing my olive green, shoe polish on line, like all the children do.

Okay a lot of cash, but the sandals only needed one heel replaced UNLESS they could not match and then I asked that both be fixed. Picked them up and noticed when I went home that only one heel was replaced and it was a 1/4 inch higher than the other. Can't walk like this. When I returned the woman the woman said "I told you they wouldn't match." So I replied "Yes, and then both should be repaired." "Fifteen dollars," she said and REFUSED to fix her mistake. "See," she said. "One pair of heels on the ticket." I know ow she is Chinese but she apparently does not know what a pair is. She explained that the boots were $35 and this sandal heel was $20. So she wanted to charge $40 for two tiny heels but $35 for big boot heels. Upshot is, she misread her ticket where I already paid for the two heels and lost a customer by not fixing her mistake. This store opens at 9am, and I was able to walk in and ask if they could add a hole where I needed one, so I could adjust the strap and wear it as I wanted. In less than 2 minutes, I walked out of the store with a purse that I was able to wear in the style I wanted. Super easy! I will be back for size adjustments of a couple leather belts I love but are too long for me now.
