Wow! This place is amazing!!! My family and I were staying close by, so we thought we would give it a try. It was fantastic!!! I had the Chicken Tuscana and my husband had the lasagna. I was looking forward to a good Italian meal. We started with their Fresh Calamari which my kids commented immediately upon tasting that it was not fresh but previously frozen. We have fresh fried calamari often as well as fresh grilled and really enjoy it. My salad was simple & wilted. The meals were not bad but definitely on the bland side. My son didn't finish his pizza because it was "ok" according to him. It looks like it's a locals hangout as several people seemed to know each other and the employees. I had a very good dining experience at Ramando's. I was in Myrtle Beach for New Year's with my girlfriend and her son. The shrimp cocktail and mozzarella sticks were very good appetizers. Salads were small and tasty. The main course was exceptional, I had the seafood combo, with lobster tail, shrimp, scallops, and fish. It also came with fries, but I did not have the room. Everything was cooked perfectly. Finished with a nice cappuccino, tasty. Service was very good. I was very impressed. I will definitely be back. read more

Got a coupon for a buy one entree get one free deal in our hotel welcome package. Having decided not to eat at chain restaurants while on vacation, we decided to give this place a try. The prices are reasonable. The service was spectacular. You get a salad and garlic bread with all entrees. The italian dressing is house made so I went with that. It was great. Perfectly balanced. Not overly tangy or sweet. The garlic bread is grilled so it's crispy and soft. I would have liked more garlic but that is just my preference. I had the Frutti Di Mare. The spicy marinara was good but the part that made me nearly weep with joy was my perfectly cooked, HOT, linguini. (I am usually held hostage by the big chains back home where you're lucky if the food gets to you luke warm, the pasta is over cooked and they drown your salad in dressing. )My friend had the Manicotti. I tried it. It was a plate of cheesy gooey joy.This place is not a fine dining place. It is a family owned Italian/American place. The decor is a little dated but it is part of the charm. With all the great reviews I expected amazing service and great food. It was neither, the service was horrible no personality and seemed upset because we came in at 7:30 maybe they were closing ( we noticed that many places in the area do this because of the off season) No kids menu, we literally had to tell her our order as she walked away, seemed irritated when I asked any question about items on the menu. As for the food, go down the street to olive garden. Caesar salad had no dressing paid 3.00 up charge bc we didn't get a house salad not a problem would have like dressing but we could not find our waitress,Chicken picatta was burnt and was not able to eat it. Still no refills on our drinks wine or water. She never came back to the table until we were done and she brought me the wrong order so I ate my someone else's chicken Alfredo which was ok -chicken was over cooked no apology just brought me a box. Ordered dessert to go and she put ice cream in a to go box....no plastic wrap just melted ice cream In a to go box. She brought us a ticket, we had a coupon from our hotel she responded with "oh great" she ran our card and did not bring back our receipt. We asked for an itemized receipt it's company policy And we had to ask 3 times. She came back with the same amount and said we took off one dish and we added gratuity. Then suggested we add more gratuity. After waiting another 15 minutes she got us a receipt. Will never return. read more

We had the Pizza, a little pricy and only one size Large. To much for 2 seniors. But the Pizza was excellent , waitress was excellent, in fact it took awhile for the Pizza so we were given complimentary garlic bread and sauce. All in all 4 stars with 4 star prices. Decided to try this restaurant because the reviews overall seemed good. Well, if you want authentic, delicious Italian food, don't go here. We ordered a caesar salad, minestrone soup, steak, linguini with clam sauce and chicken marsala with pasta on the side. The pasta dishes were overcooked. No real Italian restaurant would serve pasta any other way but al dente - this was mushy. I didn't try the clam sauce - my husband said it was good, but he is easy to please. The chicken marsala did not taste like marsala at all - it had a bacon-like flavor. It wasn't bad and the chicken was nice and tender, but it wasn't marsala. The marinara sauce tasted like poor quality jarred sauce. My son was under-impressed with the steak. The caesar salad was delicious. The waitress was lovely and service was very good. The place is outdated but it's clean and still nice. i would not go back. read more

Everything tastes homemade and we usually go here for birthday dinners or anniversary's and we have never been dissapointed. also it is locally owned and the owners have always been at the door to greet us every time we have been in to eat. Visited here recently after deciding to take a friend for a good Italian dinner.....THAT didn't happen. I think the same record, yes record, of Frank Sinatra was playing since my last visit 10+ years ago. I could deal with that, but the food was TERRIBLE! Everything from the bread to the blah diner side salad to our entrees. Really a shame, but the lonely restaurant reflected the views of the locals and the tourists....practically empty. It's sad since their food used to be really good on the many occasions we ate there. We always looked forward to dining there. The sauce tasted as if it had been on a burner for 2 or 3 days, dark, burned taste. Pasta was steamed and not fresh. Really disappointed!!! Will not go back, especially since the prices reflect those of a good restaurant---and this was not. Living on their laurels, but not for long. read more

I ordered fettucine alfredo, I didn't know it was possible to mess this dish up, but it came with absolutely no taste. But the service from our waitress was horrible. everyone else around us was being very well waited on while our waitress was "busy" with other customers (we think because we only saw her a couple of times). we actually had to flag down another waitress to get refills on our drinks! During our hour and a half visit at the restaurant we saw our waitress a total of four times, not once did she come to check on our or even ask how our meals were once she brought them. the entire time we saw people who came after us get meals and drinks and be done before us. the food was amazing, and the other staff seemed to be great and if you go hopefully you will get an attentive waitress. read more
