We moved from Rockland to NYC in 2010, and I dragged my heels trying to find a new vet for our babies. We stayed with Pomona Animal Hospital despite the long drive. Recently our we noticed our lab had a very distended stomach and we knew that he needed medical attention fast, so we called our new local vet and we were able to get in right away, so we took our lab to the new vet ( they were nice enough, but it just wasn't the same), they drew blood work and referred us to get an ultra sound ( it wasn't so easy to make an appointment but a little over a week later we got the appt- and a week after that we got the results...a mass that needs to be removed... A little inconclusive, so we had the report faxed to the new vet (who made the referral) and Pomona Animal Hospital-(mind you it was a Saturday afternoon) Dr. Puzio reviewed the notes and called me (we actually played phone tag) after hours to discuss the results) we decided to re do the ultra sound with Dr. Byman for that Wednesday (the new vet called me after my 2nd ultra sound was already completed) Needless to say we had surgery with Dr. Byman Thursday morning,and the two hospitals coordinated so beautifully and kept us in the loop the entire time. Now our boy is home and doing awesome!!! We have always had pets and they have never recieved such wonderful care as they have with Rockland Veternary, plus they take great care off the humans too! Thank you to Dr. Puzio, Dr. Byman, and all the wonderful staff at Rockland Veterinary!!iNo matter how far or near they are to you- it is so worth it to use them.

I had to give myself some time before leaving this review because I wanted to be thoughtful and…read morethorough. We have been boarding our sweet girl with Musbro since she was a puppy. She was always excited to go when we pulled up and never hesitated when they came to take her from us. We always felt completely comfortable leaving her in their care. A few weeks ago, we dropped her off on a Thursday for a 10-day stay. The following Tuesday, the owner called me to let me know that she was refusing to get up. He asked if she had recently been showing any stubbornness about going outside. He said she had eaten fine that morning but that he had noticed a decline in her energy. He told me he would keep a close eye on her and call me back with an update. About an hour later, he called again and said that her breathing appeared to be labored and that they recommended she be seen by a veterinarian. They offered to transport her to my vet, even though it was a 28-minute drive from Musbro. I called the vet to give them a heads-up, but after hearing about her symptoms, they recommended that she go straight to an emergency hospital. Once again, Musbro offered to take her wherever I wanted. I chose VEG in Nanuet because it was the closest option. The owner's daughter personally drove our girl there, gave me her personal number so I could reach her directly, kept me updated throughout the entire process, and stayed with her the whole time. Unfortunately, an emergency ultrasound revealed that she had a tumor on her spleen that had ruptured. Sadly, something like this can remain hidden until it's too late, and there was nothing that could be done. We were 14 hours away and would not have made it home in time. Knowing that she wasn't alone means more to us than I can put into words. If I couldn't be there with her at the end, I am so grateful that she had a familiar and caring face by her side. We are absolutely heartbroken to have lost our baby, but we are incredibly grateful for the love, compassion, and quick action Musbro showed our family. I am especially thankful that they recognized the change in her behavior so quickly, got her the care she needed, and helped prevent her from suffering any longer than necessary. I have always recommended Musbro to others, and I will continue to do so. I wouldn't think twice about trusting them in the future. They treated our girl like she was their own, and for that, we will always be grateful. If you are looking for someone to care for your dog when you can't be there, I cannot recommend Musbro highly enough. Knowing how they cared for our girl when we were 14 hours away is something our family will never forget.

The walkers that came to us were wonderful. They respected our home, rules, and always treated our dogs like they were their own. Aylin was normally assigned to our pups. She would always send us great photos and updates from her 30 minute walks/ playdates with the dogs. She took the time to figure out what worked best for our two. The dogs, or The Cheesies as she called them, were always thrilled to see her. Our dog, Reggie, also went to daycare at their facility for a few weeks, but because of his dog reactivity/ easy overstimulation, we decided that utilizing their walking service would be better for him. I loved that they picked him up from home for us. Their services really helped us out and made us not have to worry about how we would get him to and from the facility.
