I came to this salon because the salon I had been going to went out of business. I came in the morning and there was plenty of parking in the lot, however I am assuming that it gets crowded later on in the day (there is a pediatric business in the same parking lot and a few restaurants). The building itself is confusing for a new customer as there are multiple entrances. The inside of the building seemed to be dated and in need of updating. The inside also looked as if it could be cleaned up better, dirt on the floors and the restroom had dust all over the countertops and floors. Hoping to find a new salon in the area soon. I have been going to Rhamba somewhat off and on since I first moved to Arizona in 2013. When I moved from Gilbert to Scottsdale it was too far of a drive to go to her, so I visited a few different places hoping to find someone as good as she was. Having done so, I can honestly say that she is the BEST you will find here. Since moving to Chandler in December, I have been so happy to be close to Rhamba's salon again. My eyebrows always look amazing and I never have to tell her how I want them to look. I do recommend booking an appointment because she stays constantly busy, and you may have to wait for 15-30 min before she gets to you - but it's worth it! read more

The service I got here literally could not have been worse. I never write reviews but I had to warn others. First, Rambha arrived about 10 minutes late (I was here first appointment of the day so she just comes to work late). Then I went to get eyebrow threading. She kept telling me "This is your first time. Your worse than a 9 year old and your making my job hard" every time my eye even moved a little as a reflex to the threading..I have gotten threading done before multiple times but multiple people and none of them had a problem with me. Also my eyebrows were uneven after that. She waxed my sideburns next but not the rest of my face so now there's a huge contrast between the completely hairless sideburn área and the hair on the rest of my face that was never that noticable before. She then took me to get a facial BEFORE FINISHING WAXING. The facial didn't even remove my blackheads. Anyway I asked her to fix my eyebrows because I could see they were uneven and then she waxed my upper lip ( didn't ask for upper lip waxing, only eyebrow fixing) was after the facial, I got a really bad wax burn and she knew I had an important performance coming up so this huge burn in my face is a really big problem. And this whole appointment she kept saying she's done so many people before and she's so great at this. Clearly she doesn't know how to do her job and she made me look so much worse by highlighting my hair and giving me this awful burn. read more

Rambha is the best! I started going to her before she opened this salon, when she was still working at Ragtops. She is super friendly and nice, and is amazing at eyebrow threading. Before I started going to her, I, like many other people, associated threading with pain and discomfort. I had even been to threading places where I emerged with cuts from the service. Rambha, however, is so skilled in the art that threading is quick and absolutely painless every time. And she only charges $12! This salon is beautiful, and I am super happy for her. I came here as a walk in. I only get my eyebrows threaded. Every single person I have been to I literally cry because beauty is pain, right? Lol I came in expecting it to hurt. The usual thread. I'll start by saying the inside was super clean. The atmosphere was very relaxing. And the woman who greeted me up front was very friendly. I waited a very minimal time. Was directed towards the back by the owner who was also friendly! Still very clean. I want to say she used a powder first. And then in my head I'm like, here it goes! Lol but no. She was SUPER fast. And didn't slowly take her time around my sensitive areas like most places do. Ya know, the arch areas. My eyes didn't even water. HANDS DOWN BEST THREADING PLACE EVER! My mom and I wanted to get pedicures, and when I saw on my Yelp app that they were only $20 Monday through Wednesday at Rambha, I suggested we go try this place out. I called and made an appointment for the two of us that day without any issues. Upon entering, I felt like I was in a high-end salon- they really put some time and money into making the place look nice. The staff was friendly and took the two off us back to a huge room, where there were close to 10 gold pedicure stations along one wall and several manicure desks along the opposite wall. I can't imagine they'll ever use all of those at the same time, unless they're having a party of some sort- maybe their business will grow over time. Anyways, while we were deciding on our nail polish colors, they filled up the tubs with water. Unfortunately, when we went to get started, the jets in my mom's tub did not work so she had to sit 2 chairs down from me...so much for getting pedicures together! They were apologetic. The chairs had a massage feature which was really nice, although when used, it produced an extremely loud vibrating noise. The two women doing our manicures both commented on it (which made me not want to use it for fear of annoying them), but they were thinking it was maybe because everything was still so new. The woman who did my toes was nice and easily carried on a conversation with me. However, I did get a small cut when she was doing my cuticles...it kind of ruined the experience for me because the rest of my pedicure was spent trying to keep my toe out of the water and away from anything else that would cause it to burn. She kept saying how sorry she was and was also maybe a little embarrassed. Thankfully, I noticed they were using supplies out of a bag marked "sterilized." When comparing the way our pedicures were done, my mom and I did notice some differences. She got a longer leg/foot massage and also was not given an undercoat until she asked for one (isn't that standard when getting manis/pedis??) Oh well. I couldn't decide between giving them 3 or 4 stars, mainly because of the cut I got during my pedicure. Overall, I think they are still working out some kinks from being a new business, but they have the potential (and space) to increase their client base and improve. The atmosphere is nice, and the staff is friendly. I should also mention my toenails still look really good for it being around a month after my pedicure...only a few of my toes have started to chip! I guess because of that last fact, they can get bumped up to 4 stars! I look forward to trying the frozen yogurt place next door the owners of Rambha are opening any day now...nothing is better than a day at the spa and some froyo! read more

I think she treats Indian origin customers differently from her white clientele. I have always seen white clients promptly attended to. Also, the place is absolutely filthy. I've been going to Rambha for a few years; since she worked at Ragtops. She does great threading and really good facials. My only complaints are based around her personality; she is disorganized and even after several years doesn't know my name. Every time I see her it's as if she's never met me before and I am 99% sure she still doesn't know my name. I don't exactly want to be best friends with the spa people but I would like a tiny bit of recognition that I have been a pretty regular customer. She has never called me by my name, only 'dear.' She's definitely very good at the technical parts of her job and has a gift for eyebrows but her interaction with the customer is lacking in my opinion. So I would recommend going to see her if you don't really care if your spa person develops any kind of relationship with you; you'll be happy with the services that she does. Just don't expect any kind of personal interaction besides the necessities. read more

I visited Rambha Day Spa yesterday for a pedicure and threading of my face. Rambha is a very personalbe and friendly. She is so genuine and really wants to build her business. On Monday-Wednesday the spa pedicure was $20 and was given by a gentleman named Milton. He did a great job and we conversed the entire time. Rambha did the threading on my eyebrows and face. Four years ago I met Rambha when she didn't even have her own store yet, she was renting a space at a nail salon and when she first did my eyebrows I was totally amazed by how clean it was and she wasn't pricey. I have been to Rambha's Day Spa now three times for eyebrow threading, and honestly my eyebrows look amazing. Rambha is excellent at this technique, and it was painless. I have had threading on numerous occasions, and it was nothing like Rambha's technique. Her staff is friendly, the place is clean and spacious. I noticed they had a flier for $90.00 for an hour long massage plus an hour long facial. I think I may try that--it's an excellent deal. So disappointed....normally I don't like to put a negative review out, but man, when u have a bad experience u have to let it be known. I've been going to Rambah for a while since she was a Ragtop. Always pleased with her work, except this one day. I call early that morning to make an APPOINTMENT as I usually do. As I arrive to the salon there are two girls sitting also wanting to get their eyebrows done. Since I made the appointment and they were WALK-INS of course I would go first. I don't know if Rambah felt pressured either because the girls have been waiting or didn't want to loose the sale, but when she was done threading my eyebrows I notice my right eyebrow was half gone she threaded it so much there was practically nothing there. I went home researched eyebrow growth remedies, how to draw eyebrows ect... I felt so terrible for weeks. Finally it grew back, sadly I have stop going to Rambah and have committed to learning how to maintain and shape my own..... Yeah, for u tube tutorial!!! read more

I was happy about that until I went with the nail tech who then tells me they dont do acrylics!! You see I have no problem paying more for a good customer service. Since I am new to the neighborhood i arrived 10mins early. Rammha saw me from behind the counter, and there was no one waiting. Then she got on her cell phone, and went out. Came back and asked me about the appt, then she took me to one of her chair. In between she made no comment or ask whether I had any questions. She did her thing, and it was a decent result. When i came back out to the counter, and pay for the service, she was hand in hand waiting for her tip. Three stars because it is true that Rhamba makes sure that the threading doesn't hurt. They were busy and I also want to give them the benefit of the doubt. However, I waited 30 minutes for my scheduled appointment and it was rushed so I had to go home and pluck all the stray hairs that were left after my threading service. The only reason to go to this spa is for the eyebrow threading. Rambha is excellent at this, a true professional. As for the rest of the spa, it is total turmoil and unorganized. Rambha owns the spa / salon, the yogurt shop and the Indian restaurant (all in a row in the shopping center). She is severely understaffed, with employees and herself running back and forth between them. That is why there is never anyone at the front desk as another reviewer noted.... I had a haircut and color, the worst experience ever! It was corrected three times, I was there for over six hours! Chemical after chemical until they got it right! The same staff is trying to cover the spa, haircutting, pedicure and food establishments. Not a good business model at all, and it is making for some disgruntled customers. I gave it a two only because she is so good at the threading and because the place is truly beautiful - well appointed and clean. Also, it is dark in the salon area and some of the staff is unhappy about the lighting. *** AND the coupons are a joke. Both times they were not accepted. On my first visit Rambha said that the haircutter had already given me a "free" conditioner so I could not use it. And on my color disaster she said the price included it already... **** SO, beware and ask for the prices first and then present the coupon upon leaving. read more

I tried Eyebrow threading for the first time (I'm a habitual waxer) and must say Rambha's technique was virtually painless - thumbs up to that. I enjoyed this, except I had a serious problem with her shaping! Despite several positive reviews that I read, which is why I ultimately chose to try her service, my eyebrows look horrible. They are 1/2 the thickness (if that) of what they were! Even worse -- One is WAY thinner than the other! I immediately popped into Walgreens after to buy vitamins to encourage regrowth :( Despite my eyebrows not having symmetry, she seemed to do it TOO quickly. There are small chunks missing that shouldn't be because she didn't take her time. Thankfully, I already fill in my brows so I can somewhat make that better. If you like thin eyebrows, go to Rambha - just make sure you observe the symmetry before leaving. If you're into modern trends where thick eyebrows are desired or you already have them, do not get threaded here. Unfortunately, I will be going back to my usual waxer once my eyebrows grow back. read more
