[[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped in based on the crowd I often see here and I am we did![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We were greeted right away and seated. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. We had the Potato Croquettes for an appetizer and they were delish! Very light and crispy. We also had the Katsudon Rice Bowl and a Ramen. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Everything was excellent and this is a great spot for a cold night.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was my first time at this restaurant and it's pretty good! The potato croquettes came out hot and fresh and I liked the coleslaw it came with- helps balance out the fried! The ramen was also good too. The chashu was tender and the broth was flavorful. I would want to come back and try their other flavors :) Service was also helpful and made sure to check in every now and then. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant has several booths so it's great for small groups![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's cute and casual restaurant to go for a friend hangout or date.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Pretty solid ramen. Serving sizes were pretty massive given the price so honestly pretty good. Chicken was well fried and the taste was good too. Got the seafood ramen, very generous with the seafood itself. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Solid chill spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is so amazing! It's super cozy and nice inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff are incredibly kind, friendly, and welcoming. I had the seafood yakiudon and it was to die for! My friends all had different types of ramen and they all enjoyed theirs as well. It's a great deal for the price and I will definitely be returning!

We had to get our ramen fix while out of town and Ramen Hakata hit the spot. It was quick and tasty and reasonably priced.

Ok so I have never had ramen, so I don't know what else to compare this too, but it was GOOD!! I LOVED the broth. So my partner and I tried this place out and I was a little nervous about what to get, but went with the kimchi ramen and an order of gyoza. Everything was delicious. I love spicy and this just hit the spot for both of us. The perfect amount of spice. My partner had the miso ramen and enjoyed his but finished mine off because he loved the spicy broth too. He always gets little memories of his time in Japan and said this ramen triggered a good memory for him :) [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was small and cute. Very clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our waitresses were attentive and friendly. We would definitely come here again.

Freaking fast service and yummy ramen...what more could you ask for?? My husband and I came here for a Sunday lunch and were seated immediately as we walked in. The decor feels very much like an actual Japanese restaurant - small yet comfortable and clean! We both ordered the regular ramen and were pretty happy with the choice. The menu has multiple ramen options to choose from so I may try a different ramen next time. I would only say the prices are pretty high for a restaurant in Lewisville. It is the price we would pay for a ramen dinner in downtown Dallas. Overall, great value and fast friendly service. We would come back again.

First time customer perspective - we drove from Oklahoma and stopped here as this was the nearest ramen place based on our itinerary. Customer Service: At the entrance, someone already assisted us to get our seat. It appears that they are short handed (in a Sunday) as the person who welcomed us also the one assisting us to our seats and order. The service was just straight to the point so that was on point. The place wasn't that crowded and since they are short staff the service of asking for bill out and paying was taking so long more than it needed to and this was not only us experienced it even the customers across our booth. Food: We ordered the Hakata Ramen one with garlic and one with extra chasu (pork belly) The same server mistakenly gave us an order of someone else, the food was in front of me for more than 1 minute and luckily I didn't touch it. The server realized what happened and took the tray of food without saying or asking anything. *this concerns me* I don't know if the server give it to the right person who ordered it WITHOUT asking me if I touched the food. If this will happen to my food I will not like it. The N1 or Ramen Hakata was bland for our taste buds, the Garlic Ramen was better because of the garlic taste added flavor in it. The meat was not really enough for an adult, so if you are meat eater get an extra chasu. Ambience was pretty nice, you will surely feel the Japan vibes from the interior. It was neat and seats were organized. Overall, the food we order wasn't for us. Japan Ramen have a rich taste and I didn't tasted that on the ramen we had. The other food was looking good in the picture, and if get a chance will try it. This review is mainly for the food we tasted and the service we received the first time.

Kimchi ramen, edamame, and shoyu ramen

Came here around lunch time with a friend. Right after we ordered, a lunch rush happened, and we did have limited drop ins from our server, but a man who seemed to be the manager was helping out and made sure all bases were covered! I ordered the Kimchi Ramen, which had a kick of spice , she ordered the Shoyu Ramen , and we shared the Edamame as an appetizer! All three items were delicious, and came out the perfect temperature

Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Wasn't busy when we came.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Parking was easy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor was like any other Japanese restaurant.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Food was good. This was our first ramen place in Dallas and I guess for Dallas it's good. The yuzu drink was delicious and so was the seafood pancake.

The miso ramen is packed with so much flavor. It's a must try. Add extra chashu with curly noodles.

Do you have vegetarian friendly food?

Yes they do. Also they have Glutton free options.

How is the Okonomiyaki? Does it contain noodles like they do in Hiroshima, Japan?

No. Ramen Hakata does not put noodles in the Okonomiyaki. It is a formed and fried patty with a sauce and Bonito flakes on top.

I went the day before Thanksgiving and the japanese chef was a one man show. He was the only one running the establishment because everyone else had left to go to Japan for the holiday. He is so so so so nice. I don't go back to restaurants very often but this place has my heart. This time I got the spicy pork ramen (17), spicy garlic chicken ramen (18), and then got the spicy garlic pork ramen (19) togo. I will say it is a little bit salty, with the garlic ones being more salty than the non garlic ones. However the garlic ones do have more flavor. There's not that much meat/protein either just one piece of meat and an egg. The could be slightly better but it's still good. It also just has bamboo shoots but nothing else. A very simple bowl. Ambiance is nice, it feels upscale but also homey at the same time. They have an open kitchen concept which I like.

I had to dig for it. I know they probably put the meat at the bottom so it'll warm up with the broth, but I prefer it at the top. Unrelated to the food, I sat on the bench and there was a customer sitting on the bench beside me. She kept shifting around and causing the entire bench to move, which I didn't like.

All of the fried items were fresh and hot and all the flavors were really balanced. Even the Ramen soup wasn't salty which is a problem I see at many ramen places. Our favorite appetizers were the crab rangoon and the hama rayu but honestly everything that came out was solid. I will say that if you've had shrimp dumpling or Gyoza before, don't expect anything fancy/new here. Pretty standard. The service at this restaurant is on POINT! The servers are always hustling and checking in often despite how busy things are. Whoever is managing the staff and whoever is cooking in the kitchen is doing a bang-up job. Step 4: Name every roll after either a volcano, a ninja, or an apocalypse. Komodo Loco apparently looked at that formula and said, "Nah." This place has actual character. The restaurant is dark and cool without feeling like you're being interrogated. There are cozy little nooks everywhere, and somehow it manages to feel both laid-back and upscale. Like if a speakeasy and a sushi restaurant had a child who grew up with excellent taste. Then the food arrived. Look, I've had plenty of sushi. I've had good sushi. I've had "my friend won't stop talking about this sushi" sushi. Komodo Loco belongs in the last category. The fish was incredibly fresh, but what really stood out was that the rolls didn't all taste like slight variations of spicy mayo negotiating with cream cheese. The flavors were genuinely original. We ordered the Crispy Rice Bites, the T-Dub Roll, and the Horacio Roll based on our server's recommendations. The Crispy Rice Bites were so good I briefly considered ordering a second round before I had finished the first. The T-Dub Roll disappeared from the plate so quickly that I suspect it may have violated several laws of physics. The Horacio Roll was one of those dishes that makes you stop talking mid-sentence and stare into the middle distance while reconsidering every life choice that led you to not order two of them. Which brings me to our server: Breann. Or Breanna. I apologize for not knowing which one. In my defense, I was busy entering a committed relationship with sushi. My daughter is moving to Denton, and since we don't live here, we asked what we should order. Breann/Breanna immediately became the Gandalf of menu navigation. There was no hesitation. No "everything is good." No vague server diplomacy. Just confident recommendations that absolutely delivered. She was kind, funny, helpful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. More importantly, she made my daughter feel at home in a city she's about to call home. As a dad, that meant a lot. I also loved how Komodo Loco celebrated Pride Month. Not because restaurants have to weigh in on everything, but because the atmosphere simply communicated: "Hey, you're welcome here." And honestly, that's one of the best things a restaurant can do. Good food fills your stomach. A welcoming place fills the room. Komodo Loco managed to do both. So yes, I'll be back every time I'm in Denton. My daughter thinks she's moving here for school. I think she's moving here so I'll have an excuse to eat at Komodo Loco several times a year. One of us is probably right.

However, after placing our order, we noticed several tables seated after us receiving their food before we did. At one point, we were concerned our order may have been overlooked. When the food finally arrived, it was very good--no complaints there--but the wait was a bit disappointing, especially since most of what we ordered were appetizers.
