Huge change from 8 years ago. Our go-to closed down unfortunately, so we went back here to try again. What a different experience! We've returned several more times and each time has been amazing. It's been 8 years so I'm not sure if our first experience was a fluke or if they've improved over the years. The rolls are large and fresh. We have ordered bowls, appetizers, rolls, soup, sushi rolls both raw, deep fried, and cooked. All kinds of varieties of fish, shrimp, crab. Nothing has been disappointing at all. Was in the area and with the reviews had to give this place a try! They had a whole assortment of options for sushi and for a pretty good price as well. We were greeted nicely upon walking in and was told to pick anywhere to sit as the place was pretty empty despite it being lunch time (there was a lot of to go orders it seems with people walking in and out). Ambiance was pretty okay, nothing too special but appeared clean. Regarding the food, we ordered the salmon roll (6pcs), Philadelphia (8pcs), Louisiana (6pcs). All 3 rolls were pretty good, I especially liked how smoky the salmon flavor was on the Philadelphia. I would have to say though that the regular salmon had a slight fishy taste to it despite dipping in wasabi. The texture (slightly chewy) and color was normal so not sure if it was just an "off" piece since my husband said he didn't think it was too bad. Hello reader, Food: I'm fairly new to the area and I was in search of a good sushi place and Nori Sushi did not disappoint. The selection and prices are amazing. Today I ordered a chicken katsu bento box and the vegetable fried rice in order to try a variety of food. The katsu was amazing and so were the California rolls. I did also enjoy the cabbage slaw and salad but personally I'm not a fan of too much dressing or slaw but they were still enjoyable. Customer Service: When I walked in I was initially greeted and able to sit wherever I wanted. I also receive excellent service throughout the duration of my meal. Atmosphere: The atmosphere visually is good and the place has a nice vibe. They chose very nice decor and made great use of the space here. I greatly appreciate that. Also from what I've noticed the place seems to be a "mom and pop" kind of place and I also appreciate this too as I like to spend my money with the local businesses rather than large corporations. We LOVE this place! Great sushi at a great price! Our daughter discovered Nori through DoorDash and ordered regularly.because one roll and fried rice could consistently last her 3 meals. She then asked us to take her on her birthday. My wife, who loves sushi, saw the lower prices and assumed the rolls must be small. She in turned ordered seeming 3 of every roll on the menu. The waitress' eyes got HUGE when she saw the order and said "that's WAY TOO MUCH!" We all laughed and she had my wife reduce the order to 1 roll each and even complete remove some rolls. When the rolls, sushimi, sushi arrived, we were like OMG what did we do??? It was SO MUCH! These are NOT small rolls. The table looked like a floating city (as they put the rolls in these 2 feet by 10 inch boats) of colorful art. It was beautiful, but overwhelmingly intense volume. We felt like if we really pushed ourselves we could mostly wipe it out. We may be hurting a little, but we wouldn't look like babies nibbling on our food and so we went to town. We enjoyed every bite of every piece and quickly put a sizable dent in the order. We were feeling proud and full and accomplished. That's when the remaining boats showed up... We cried uncle and threw our hands up in defeat. There was an entire additional boat we didn't touch. SO MUCH FOOD! We still laugh at that wonderful experience and we still don't let my wife forget. I'm in town on a work trip and sushi delivery is my go to, which is usually hit or miss, but I still roll the dice each time no matter where in the states I am. With so many great reviews at Nori, I had to give it a try. I ordered the sushi and sashimi bento box that came with miso soup, ginger salad, 2 gyoza, half a California roll, and of course, sushi and sashimi. This was a steal at $16.95 for the box. I also added the heaven plate that was a selection of sashimi with jalapeño and ponzu because my inner fat girl said I needed it. Beautiful presentation for a delivery box, and the sashimi was sliced nice and thick, but overall, just meh. I couldn't finish the sashimi. Some pieces were slightly fishy, some really had zero flavor. I enjoyed the salmon the most, but it didn't taste the freshest. My heaven plate had almost no ponzu, so all I tasted was a slice of jalapeño and a dollop of sriracha. The miso soup, salad, and gyoza were pretty good. I probably wouldn't give this place another go, but I got my dinner for the night and they price is reasonable, so still a win. read more

This is a small establishment in a someone obscure plaza in Lewisville. We were impressed with the quality and the lunch special prices are a good value. Service was good, they do get swamped during prime lunch hours with lots of takeout orders so I would recommend going earlier. Tucked away in the Aldi's plaza, this little restaurant was a hidden gem. It was bustling with takeout orders with a few patrons dining in. The decor was average and there was a little bit of a smell but a given with an older building. We were able to look past it with the quality of the food. Now I've had my fair share of sushi restaurants in Texas and this place really surprised me. We played it fairly safe with a spider roll, eel and cucumber roll, salmon and albacore sashimi, and a volcano roll. The fish was FRESH. My family agreed and they are tough to impress. The sashimi was a generous cut and fatty. The rolls were pretty tasty, hard to go wrong with these staple sushi rolls. Quality food is one thing but the service was a definite bonus. Our waitress was incredibly friendly and patient with us. Even behind a mask, she was all smiles. We will definitely be coming back! Highly recommend trying it out, either dine-in or takeout! The interior feels on the way Oder side and is smaller; there's a wall lined with about 6-7 booths and a couple tables seating 4. The staff were very polite early on in getting me seated and ordering. I decided on the sushi & sashimi bento box for its value ($17) and variety. Most notably, the sashimi slices were THICKKK. Nice thick cuts, very fresh of tuna & salmon. The nigiri was equally as fresh, with mixed in varieties of other fish and shrimp. Both the California roll and gyoza were great additions both; refreshes the palate after a couple fish bites. :) Lastly, the salad had a nice and fresh ginger sauce that was more sweet imo, but still tasty. All in all, solid value for a compact bento box meal! Staff was also very polite and efficient from start to finish - I got my food nearly within 10min of ordering! Great visit for sushi.
