New place with a nice interior, better service and great food! We ordered the Alaskan roll, Angry Wife, shrimp fried rice and dumplings. The location is really cute inside and would be a solid location for a date night or business lunch. They have a seemingly large collection of saki and other bottled drinks. Also, the service was great as the lady at the front was very helpful and outgoing. The Alaskan roll was beautiful and tasted great as was the Angry Wife roll. My family freaked out on the dumplings as they were incredible! You'll thank me later. The fried rice was just okay, as it's lacking in flavor and didn't have any color from veggies. The food was ok, the sushi roll was good. But we couldn't enjoy the experience because of the ridiculously strong odor of cleaning chemicals mixed with deep fried smells coming from the kitchen. It was so bad that our eyes were watering and we had to get to-go containers and leave early. They need much better ventilation and switch to an unscented cleaner. read more

How in the world has this sushi place been in Lewisville for almost 2 years?! This is the epitome of a hidden gem. Ignore that it's in an older strip mall. I say that, but honestly, we were a big gun shy when we arrived at 6 PM on a Saturday night and the place was empty with the exception of one other table with other customers. We took a chance to based on the previous yelpers, and were so glad we did. Staff was very friendly and all of the food was 100% fresh and on point. As a previous yelper recommended, we started out with a cucumber salad, which provided the great accompaniment to all of the rolls we ordered later. Some sushi places skimp on the toppings, but this one completely loads down their specialty rolls. Overall a great place. Simple atmosphere, but great quality sushi. We will be back. read more

This business opened up earlier this year, but for being so new, I think they are doing a solid job. Honestly, I wouldn't have known they existed if they didn't pop up on GrubHub a couple months ago. I tend to not be very impressed by sushi places in Highland Village and Lewisville that have higher ratings, but this one is very promising! I've ordered lunch delivered to my work quite a few times since March and I've been very satisfied with almost everything I've tried. Their quality and freshness exceeds other restaurants nearby. While this review cannot comment on atmosphere or customer service, I would say this place is 4 1/2 stars for the food. I wouldn't say the entire menu is great, but the sushi is excellent and a great find in the area. The only thing I wouldn't order again was the chicken fried rice. I'm all for places being creative with their food, but while you expect veggies in your fried rice this only had a ton of mushrooms, a little egg, and a mediocre portion of chicken. I didn't care for the taste and I was confused by the preparation. So I'm not super confident in trying other entrees. I've tried several appetizers and am willing to try more, because they were tasty. So far I've tried the fried pork gyoza and the shrimp tempura. Both were made well and worth trying again. Those dumplings especially were crispy, prepared perfectly and yummy! I've tried a variety of sushi- nigiri, hand rolls, regular rolls and the salmon tower bowl. I will say that the hand rolls need a little work. They were delicious, but out of the 3 I tried, 2 were made top heavy so they immediately fall apart. The fresh ingredients kept it from being too disappointing, but it was challenging to eat. The salmon roll I ordered (at this point they had only been open a couple months) was a bit light on the salmon. It was tasty, I just wanted 3 times the amount of salmon. However, it's a good price, I would order that again. All other items I've tried have been stellar- made perfectly and consistently. I am a huge fan of the red snapper and salmon and will continue to order those as I try new items. I cannot stress enough how happy I am with the quality and freshness of the food here! I also think the prices are extremely fair and have been happy with the portions I'm getting as well. They have definitely earned their way into my lunch rotation and I recommend giving them a try! read more

My son and I ordered the fried gyozo, the California roll, the golden spicy tuna roll and the rainbow roll. The sushi tasted fresh was done really well. The golden spicy roll was my favorite and they got the crunch just right. The staff wasn't overall chatty, but nice, the service was super fast, overall a great experience. Disappointed. Went here because it was a holiday and they were the only sushi place open over our favorites (best thing going for them) but other than that it was terrible. Got a philadelphia roll and by my own mistake ordered a philadelphia hand roll instead, my mistake but at the same price as the roll this small thing had barely anything in it and should not cost $9-- like $4 at most! I also ordered a tuna tower for $18, which had very little tuna, barely any fish eggs and honestly was largely rice. I have never been so disappointed by a sushi place, or a tuna tower! This place was overpriced when there are so many actually good places. Spent $30 I can't get back and sushi made me sad for the first time in my life. Pass.
