    Complimentary salad bar
    Melissa Q.

Complimentary salad bar included with meal. Main focus is ramen options. Pretty unassuming, not fancy interior. You order then sit down. The food arrived pretty quickly. Big portions for ramen with lots of cabbage and other seafood like shrimp in addition to the pork it comes with. I got the champ ramen and the broth was really flavorful. My boyfriend got the spicy champ ramen. More spicy than I prefer, but the flavor was still really good. I got a mango refresher and it was sweet and satisfying. My boyfriend got the strawberry smoothie and it almost tasted like a strawberry milkshake it was so yummy. I was so impressed with how good everything was.

Had a great time on a recent visit to this place. We came in for an early dinner and stayed and finished with a great meal! You order before sitting down, so it is more an order sit down meal. The menu has a great variety to chose from. We ordered two different kinds of ramen- simple and champ. Both were good, the champ had a good variety of seafood in it as well! And we also ordered a udon with shrimp tempura combo with the eel rice bowl. That was $16.99 and a good sized bowl of eel. The food was very filling, there was a lot of it. And there is also a salad bar included with a $11 per order. We also ordered smoothie drinks which were $4.99 each a great deal for the size drink.

A great place for udon! I had the udon and tempura shrimp. Plus, my parents and I started with the gyoza. Everything was fast and delicious. This place is order at the counter, but the staff is there to talk through ramen spice levels, which is very helpful. The inside is causal--good for a quick bite of something comforting like ramen or udon. I'll be trying their matcha next time!!

Not the best ramen in Chicagoland, but I like the fact that you can do combos. We got spicy tuna roll and eel rice bowl with ours, and both were filling with the ramen. Service was good and friendly. I would go back if in the area.

This place was great! You order at the door and then they bring the food to you. They had a self serve salad bar and water/tea station. Food was great, definitely large portions for lunch time. I shared the udon combo with eel bowl and we couldn't finish it! The shoyu ramen was also really good

This is a great place in Arlington Heights for ramen. Hugeeeee portions. I got the curry champ and the bowl was stacked with ramen, broth, meat and toppings. I could not finish my bowl. The serving size of 1 bowl was plenty for 2 people. The restaurant has a good amount of seating inside and plenty of parking outside. You order near the door before you sit down and they bring the food to you. Once you order, you can grab fresh greens for a salad at the salad bar and make your own green tea, which is included in your meal. Each table had a side rolling cart with napkins, condiments, and miscellaneous table items that made it easy to grab things you need. The service is great. The servers quickly came out with our food, and they were friendly. We had a party of 6, and even though there was a reserved table that we didnt reserve, they let us use the reserved table to fit our party.

Good service. Price was not bad for Chicago. The broth tastes very good and the ingredients are very fresh also. The portion size was huge that I took left over to go and had it as a late night snack. They have a complimentary salad bar that is fresh and I liked their house dressing. It was very refreshing to have with ramen noodles. I thought the broth could be too rich or greasy that may upset my stomach but despite the appearance , it wasn't at all and I enjoyed it very much. Definitely come back when I am in the area again.

I'm not sure why no other reviewer has covered this, but there is a sufficient amount of seating available if you decide to dine in. Ample parking. When you walk in, you order first along with the tips (optional), then you get a number. There is a free salad bar (standard salad bar nothing special). There is also free water (cold and hot) along with free tea packets. You'll find a small cart with each table (napkins, chopsticks, salt, pepper, etc. We ordered champ ramen, curry ramen, gyoza, and takoyaki. The drinks we got were discounted and they were made next door. The gyoza and takoyaki were good. The ramens looked big but were filled with lots of vegetables. Definitely a lot more than other places I've been to. I usually like more noodles than vegetables. The seafood and curry broths were tasty. Not too salty, just the right amount of flavor. I was surprised to see a variety of seafood in my bowl. I had a few pieces of shrimp, scallops, and mussels. The meat was tender. Overall, it's a decent ramen shop. I think less vegetables and more noodles would certainly raise my rating.

Great meal at a great price! The menu photos are a little deceiving, they don't show just how generous the portions really are. I ordered the recommended #2 Champ Ramen, and it was fantastic. The seafood broth was rich and flavorful, packed with seafood, veggies, and thick cuts of meat. I even had to dig to reach the chewy noodles underneath. No wonder it's their most popular ramen, definitely a satisfying meal.

I had the salmon and avocado poke which was a good portion and satisfied me. There was a modest salad bar that comes free with the meal. The produce was fresh and crunchy. The matcha refresher drink I had was too sweet.

So big I don't know how the lady was able to carry it to the table.

I ordered the meat champ ramen bowl. Everything was hot, good and fresh. It was this massive bowl of delicious. When you go, and you really should if you are in the area, go hungry.

Let me start with the service here is amazing. We reserved seats ahead of time as we had a huge party. They had a group of tables reserved for us and were very welcoming as soon as we came in. We had multiple food allergies in our group and the server who took our orders was so patient and thorough in taking down the allergies and notifying the staff. She was also very knowledgeable about the ingredients in all the items and made sure we were aware of items we were ordering may have some or be in contact with some of the allergens thru frying. She was so accommodating and wanted us to know with certainty the food we were ordering so that we could have peace of mind and to be able to enjoy the food. The food also came out very quickly and all the servers provided great service. You could tell they really care about their customers. I have never seen this before at a Ramen place but they have a small AYCE salad bar. If you spend a certain amount (basically order an entree) the salad bar is free. Had romaine, spinach, cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots, olives, a few toppings and a few different dressings. Nothing extensive but was a nice small touch. On to the food. I ordered a side of karaage and the Champ Ramen. The karaage was pretty good. The only thing I would change is that the breading was a little wet, soft so it did not have that super crispy outer texture when you think of karaage. The chicken was nice and moist and the flavor of the breading was there. I decided to try the Champ ramen over the Simple Ramen as the Champ ramen was the same price but included seafood. Man does this place pack in the food. There was a lot of seafood in the ramen. There were clams, shrimp, octopus, small scallops and mussels. This was in addition to two pieces of chashu, some fish cakes and half an egg. The ramen broth was pretty good as it was rich but could have had a little more depth of flavor. The chashu was velvety and tender but also could have used more braised flavor. It maybe because I have never had such a mix of seafood or long cuts of cabbage in my ramen but it made me think of jjamppong. Overall the food was good and you get more than your money's worth with the portion. For parking there is a small parking lot out front in addition to the large lot that services Lowe's, as they are in the same plaza.

Wow. I found myself…read morein Arlington Heights, and my buddy suggested this place due to an upcoming trip to Japan in 2027. It's a Japanese market that features an amazing food court (and this is where I spent all my time.) I don't recall the name of the stall I purchased from. But I can tell you it was quick, not expensive and very filling. I had a bowl with beef and noodles; for dessert I hit the matcha dessert stall for some matcha and vanilla ice cream. The whole place meal me feel like I was dining outside the state of Illinois. The service from everyone in the market was very friendly and they even had a sake/soju tasting by the front door (and the vendors allowed you try was much as you wanted.) I highly recommend this spot

If you love Japanese culture, food, and want to visit a neat place and kind of feel like you are…read morevisiting Japan, you need to visit Mitsuwa! Not only is there a food court of different Japanese restaurants to try, there is also a grocery store, bakery, bookstore, and stores that sell ice cream, traditional desserts, as well as crepes and boba tea! My family and I visit here often every year and we like to try the different foods and desserts and then check out the bookstore and grocery store afterwards. My favorite foods so far have been the beef udon soup with a soft boiled egg, shrimp and vegetable tempura, miso soup, and Japanese curry with rice, beef, and vegetables (carrots and potatoes). My son always gets the chicken and beef on a stick and my daughter usually gets a garlic pork dish with white rice but I forget what this dish is called. My husband also enjoys the beef udon soup like I do. I swear that whenever my food is finished, I am legit sad! The crepes are good, there is a variety of boba teas to try, and the ice creams are delicious! Lychee has been my favorite so far but I have yet to try the matcha, red bean, among others! You can get a small sample of different ice cream flavors too, which is nice! I sampled the red bean flavor so that will be my go-to next time! At the grocery store, I love buying Happy Turn snacks which are like a sweet and salty crunchy cracker (maybe it is made of rice?) that are individually wrapped and mochi from the fridge area. Finally, I usually like to buy mochi from the store right next to the bookstore. The mochi from this location is the best! I usually buy multiple flavors to take home and eat at a later time! You must try these! My kids love checking out the bookstore and they usually pick something out for me to buy for them - whether it is a book, keychain, etc. There are magazines, anime figurines, soft plushy toys, pens, and stationary, etc. It is interesting to browse through the things they have there! You cannot bring food or drinks inside but they do have a shelf at the entrance where you can place your drink there if you like. The first time visiting here, the majority of the customers were Asians and as the years have passed, there is now more of an influx of non-Asians who simply love the food and appreciate the culture, which I think is neat! The first time I visited here was with my college roommate who was from Japan and she recommended this place back in 2009 perhaps? I have been visiting ever since with my family. We travel more than an hour from Wisconsin to come here but it is 100% worth the drive! Also, the cashiers and workers there are quick, efficient, and friendly. I have even been able to practice a few of the Japanese phrases I have learned with a couple of the cashiers too (I asked if they spoke Japanese first)! Overall, Mitsuwa is my happy place! Great food, interesting finds, different culture, and everyone there looks excited to be there. This is as close to visiting Japan as I can get until I keep learning more Japanese and save up enough money to go visit Japan someday! This is my dream! In the meantime, we will keep visiting Mitsuwa!

I really do treat this as a takeout only place. As usual, my food was ready on time if not early. The roll servings portion is very nice and generous. I got a hand roll for the first time as well, which was generous and delicious. For the prices of the sushi rolls here versus what's also in the nearby vicinity this is definitely worth it. I do enjoy coming here for the sushi for sure. Will definitely keep on ordering from here.

I especially loved the kimchi chicken rice, although it was more of a flavorful fried rice with a nice spicy kick. The Bears sushi was also a winner, that thick avocado layer and juicy tempura shrimp were incredible. I also tried the Bento Box D - chicken teriyaki, rice, veggies, California rolls, salad, and tofu soup. The teriyaki was bursting with flavor! Everything was delicious and the portions were huge. The place itself is tiny - only two tables - but the staff were super friendly and attentive. They were really lovely to chat with! One small thing: the guy working there could probably use an apron, as his shirt and pants looked a little food-splattered. And a bit of a clean-up would do wonders - the curtains leading to the kitchen were dusty, and the TVs could use a wipe-down too. Overall, despite the minor cleanliness issues, I would definitely recommend Osaku! The food is incredible, the portions are generous, and the service is great. Give it a try!
