Hidden Gem!!! I was expecting an order-at-the-counter experience, but was pleasantly surprised to be seated and have service at the table! The food was excellent. The inside of the restaurant is small, but very casual/cute (think Naruto on the wall, 2000's pop music, bamboo, etc). The service was great, and they seemed very happy for our service. I believe the chef even came out and asked us how we enjoyed our food. I will come back to try more menu items!

It's probably a great thing I don't live north. With all the ramen places starting to surface, I'd suffer for sure (health wise, supposedly, but not in happiness). I'd actually been here before and don't remember what I ordered, but I returned recently and got the spicy tonkotsu with karaage and my goodness! Yes, I omitted a LOT of things, but I was allowed to sub both garlic and onion flakes instead, and it was perfect. Definitely a major difference from my first visit. Yall, I want to go back today! Chashu was tender, seasoning, broth, and noodles were perfect....I want another bowl now. I went an hour before closing on a weekend and didn't feel rushed or anything. The service was great and everyone was nice. Yes, I'm returning soon!

What a cute little hidden gem in Frisco! Ramen Wahta was a very tasty surprise. I ordered for myself, daughter, and mom for a take out order. I got the chasiu Bao bun, cucumber salad, and the tonkotsu ramen. For my daughter, she got the mango boba, chicken ramen, and takoyaki. For my mom, I got her the veggie ramen with veggie broth. Everything was absolutely delicious! Chasiu bun was delicious as was the cucumber salad. My ramen was hearty and tasty. My daughter enjoyed all of her food especially the takoyaki and boba. My mom is a picky vegetarian and she loved her bowl as well. All in all a good food trip! Would love to dine in next time as the decor is very cute! Thank you Ramen Wahta!

The service is quick and food is good! I was really impressed with the mix tempura. It was enough to share and so fresh! Will go back

Ohh what a cute little restaurant close to me and I had no idea. We were craving ramen and decided to stop and check them out. Great service, the restaurant is clean and so cozy. I loved the decor. The tonkotsi ramen was very delicious. Next time, I will try the fried squid legs. So glad I found this spot.

It is seriously the best ramen I've had. I'm not vegetarian but I get that ramen just bc the creamy broth and green noodles are so good. I've also had the curry one, it was to die if you want something heavier! The team is always so nice too!

A good RAMEN house can be hard to find, but today I took my chances and it was a win! Located in a industrial strip center, Ramen Wahta is inexpensive, delicious, clean, and the staff treat you like family. The katsu had a crunch that is audible and tactile with your teeth and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Chef said it was GLUTEN FREE as well! The rice was sticky and warm with furukaki cooked to a perfection. Even the orange slices were cold and sweet. The CURRY RAMEN had that traditional homestyle Japanese curry flavor. Half an egg sits nicely presented in the center with finely sliced veggies cooked to perfection. Next to that are slices of tender pork belly. 5 stars all the way around!

This is a little gem of ramen tucked inside a shopping plaza. Kinda like a hole in the wall. Their decoration does make you feel like your in Japan eating at a ramen shop. I ordered a hot green tea, which I was provided in a cute little tea pot and they use real leaf for the tea and not a tea bag. From this little detail I could tell that they put a lot of effort in high quality ingredients on all their dishes. I wasn't wrong, the tonkatsu ramen, udon, curry ramen, karage and korokke tasted really good. I just wish that the chia-siu (pork slices) were a tad bigger or more than just 2 pieces due to the small size.

Came here for my lunch break with the beloved. Everything was delicious! The pork tonkatsu my boyfriend ordered was bigger than we both expected, but was perfectly fried and crunchy! It was perfect thickness for the meat and was not over breaded. My Tonkotsu ramen was rich and flavorful and I added extra black mushrooms. But normally ramen that i havd eaten has a soft boiled egg? The one inside mine was harder boiled so I didn't get that creamy texture and was missing it. Other than that, everything was fine! Although they could turn the music down just a little so I could hear my boyfriend talk.

This is a great spot to go in this chilly, rainey weather! Hot bowl of ramen does so good for the soul. This place has such an extended menu of ramen flavors! From your shoyu, spicy miso, kimchi, seafood, and vegan options! If you aren't feeling like noodle soup, there are great appetizers, rice bowls, and even Chasu buns! I was feeling like having seafood so of course got the seafood ramen bowl. It's HUGE. You get two large green mussels, 2 shrimp, bunch of little scallops, mushrooms, sprouts, and lots of noodle. The broth is clear and flavorful, and not too salty. The hubs went for the tonkotsu ramen and wow that broth is so milky. My younger daughter got the kid's version. I will definitely be getting that next time. Great place in Frisco for ramen!

This is a hidden gem in Frisco! The inside is decorated like a small Japanese bar. The food quality and presentation was great. They have very fast service, you can get in and out in no time so it's a great lunch spot!

One of the best Ramen places I've had in Texas. The noodles were fresh and the broth was just right. Lots of topping options . A great selection of appetizers . Small and intimate place. The service was very good. Had some vegetarian options .

I've had the pleasure of eating ramen in Japan and yeah, NO. The reason for the 1 star is because we were the first ones in at 11 and the waitress came in sneezing and wiping her nose with her hand, with her child in tow who by the way was all over the place and many times just standing at our table staring at us eat. I kept watching her to see if she would wash her hands or at least use hand sanitizer but she neglected to do either. The ramen: We ordered the spicy garlic pork shoyu and the spicy chicken broth ramen. The garlic pork ramen had 1 small piece of pork belly and the noodles while a great consistency, tasted like cardboard. The broth suffered from the lack of flavor. The chicken ramen was also pretty flavorless. The nerve of someone to compare this place to Ichiran lol. I will say, the service from the chef and the nose wiping waitress was pleasant but the grossness of her wiping her nose and touching every chair, bowl, utensils and eating her chips at the table across from us with her toddler is enough for us to never go back to this place even if it was the last ramen spot on the planet.

I think the marrow crab was a little over hyped, it was still good and I am happy that we ordered it, but I don't think I'll order it again. The lamb chops were alright, a litttle more well-done than I am used to, but still pretty tasty. The tonkotsu ramen was above average and filling. The tsukemen was strange. This may be my own preference, but I was expecting the dipping broth to have a strong dashi flavor, but this was not the case. The dipping broth tasted like a slightly more concentrated version of the tonkotsu broth and felt very greasy. I would not recommend the tsukemen. The atmosphere was excellent. Both my partner and I loved the wood furnishing and felt quite comfortable despite the fact the restaurant was very busy. The service was outstanding, when we told the waitress that this was our first time here, she explained the full menu and gave a number of recommendations in each section.

The restaurant in general was dimly lit and relatively moody. Before I go in depth on what we ordered, here's my verdict and reasoning for the rating: The fish itself seemed like it was of good quality. You may then ask: if that's the case, why the 3 stars Salman? Service. Service was the reason. Our server and the speed at which we were getting our food was pretty lackluster. And our server, simply wasn't on top of stuff. She would disappear for long stretches and wouldn't come back to either check on us or to even take our order in the beginning. For instance, when I started ordering nigiri's, she had to stop me because while she initially thought, she could remember everything, she realized it would be better to write things down. What a fantastic thought. The chefs were very kind, but slow. We wanted to order another escolar nigiri and potentially more items, but refrained from doing so, just because of how long everything else took. Here's all that we ordered: - Hama chili: the yellowtail seemed fresh and was a good indication that the fish would be good. The dish itself wasn't the best hamachiili we've had. - Cherry blossom: rice less roll that was better than expected. Here are the nigiri's we ordered: - Flounder: sweet. Not very chewy - Escolar: buttery, torched but no smoky flavor, good. Top 3. - Hamachi: flat and lacked flavor. Would've liked some more ponzu or spice - Saketoro: slightly fishy. Went down very smooth though - Kinemedai: very fresh. Slightly bitter. - Masunosake: also very flat. We won't order salmon here again. - Otoro: fantastic. Smooth and buttery. Our favorite - Otoro handroll: basic but the fish was spectacular.

When I walked in, I asked the hostess about some of the cooked rolls and which one was popular. Her response was simply, "I don't know," which wasn't very helpful at all--especially for someone trying to decide what to order. I ended up going with the Dynamite Roll, which is fully cooked and loaded with crawfish. Since everything in the roll is cooked, I expected it to come out hot or at least warm. I waited over 30 minutes, and during that time I even tried to get the hostess's attention a few times just to check on the status of my order. While waiting, I asked two other employees for recommendations, and interestingly, they both suggested the same roll I ordered. One of the servers even came over and mentioned that the roll takes longer because it's cooked--which I appreciated--but that also raised my expectations that it would come out fresh and hot. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case. After the hostess (who wasn't busy) finally grabbed my order, I got to my car and tried it--and it was lukewarm. Not cold, but definitely not what you'd expect after that kind of wait. The frustrating part is that the roll actually had a lot of potential. It was packed with crawfish and had good flavor, so I can see why it's recommended. Overall, the food has promise, but the service and execution need improvement. I'm willing to give them another try, but if I'm waiting that long again, the food definitely needs to come out hot--or it's going back.
