Came back to try their udon and loved it even more than their ramen! I appreciate how they're able to accommodate substitutions for allergies. The udon came out quickly, and I love the string lights inside.

Amazing experience. Paid 35 dollars for a 10oz angus steak. It's already breaded and fried but rare. You can cook it to the temperature you would like. The ramen was good and worth it too. There's ample parking as this is in a plaza. The location has about 15-25 tables. The service was great and our server checked in on us.

Well worth the visit! Meat was tender and breaded perfectly. The dipping sauce paired well, bit of sweet and umami. Ramen wasn't too heavy but it was flavorful, can taste the garlic.

The food here at Nikugen always hits and the service is always great. Their Chasu buns are filled with actually slices of nicely charred and Smokey pork belly and dressed with addicting sauce. I definitely recommend any hibachi entree the steak is always cooked exactly as I order (medium rare) and the yum yum sauce pairs is exactly as named. I pour it on everything! Do note they don't do table side hibachi it's cooked in the kitchen, but I prefer it that way. Great place with amazing service and even better food.

The black garlic ramen is good, just lacks flavor. The tempura udon was much better. Broth tasted really clean and soothing. Good vibes inside. Friendly staff and quick service. Nice, cozy date spot for Japanese food.

Disclaimer, I ALWAYS come for the udon. This time around, we also tried the gyu katsu and it was fantastic. Our meal was so good and not many places dabble in creamy udon! The one from here is crave worthy and I typically go for akai for the spice. Definitely a hidden gem!

I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen, which had a broth that was flavorful but I wished it was warmer. Service was alright; the restaurant wasn't busy, yet my table wasn't really checked upon.

so mid.. Honestly its more yummy for the eyes than the tongue. After about 5 bites its going to get really tiring to eat bc the flavors are so bland and not exciting.. I definitely think you over pay for what you're getting. Service was fine. I would not recommend to anyone

Just what I needed! The place was nice and service was great. The akai udon noodles hit the spot - they were so good!

This place is perfect on a cold day! I tried 3 different things from here this time: Spicy ramen- nice kick with a good noodle to toppings ratio! The spice level was probably around shin ramen level spice for frame of reference. Portion size was also good, definitely filled me up and I still had a little extra left over for a snack! Black garlic ramen- really savory broth with strong garlic flavor, so it does live up to the name, also had good noodle to toppings ratio. Even though it came in a different bowl than the spicy ramen the portion size was probably around the same. Nikugen shiro udon- not pictured but this was also very tasty, it's kind of like an Asian carbonara x Alfredo pasta type dish! Our waiter was also very attentive and gave us candies at the end of our meal.

This is hands down my husbands favorite restaurant. We go here... a lot. Last night my best friend and I were going to grab dinner but our go-to had a crazy long wait so we came here instead and were seated quickly on a chilly Friday night. We started with their kaarage chicken which is always delicious. It comes with a tiny salad with great flavor. We also ordered chasu buns which are packed with phenomenal flavor. Then we shared the Tori katsu (breaded chicken, comes w steamed rice, a ginger salad and miso soup). We ended it all with a Vegas roll. I will say the Vegas roll was extremely disappointing. The roll itself missed a crunch. It was soggy and even though it had a ton of sauce on top it was missing flavor. It's ok because everything else this place sells makes up for it :-) I'll be back for sure.

We showed up with a party of 10 and they got us sat in roughly 20 minutes which I think was a fair amount of time for a Saturday 1:00pm time frame. Staff were all friendly and attentive. I got the pork cutlet omelet with cheese and spice level 7. My goodness, I inhaled that dish. I came across this spot on Yelp where the reviews were glowing, though I will say the menu is a little confusing.... That holds true in person too, but thankfully there are photos to guide you, which helps a lot. Also worth noting, they offer 20 (twenty!!!) levels of spiciness, which feels both exciting and pretty intimidating. I went with the pork katsu curry with rice. The omelet dishes looked amazing too and I was tempted, but crispy curry & rice won the day. I told the waiter I wanted medium spice and said 5, and the server smiled and said he would give me a level 1. I laughed, but he knew exactly what he was doing because even level 1 had a solid kick. My hubby ordered the same dish with chicken and added veggies (and cheese(. He decided to be bold and went with a level 2. Honestly, mine might have even tasted spicier, but at that point it is all relative. We arrived around 4:45pm on a Saturday and it was easy to get seated. By the time we left, the place was completely packed and there was a line forming, which tells you everything you need to know. The pork was perfectly crispy, the rice had that ideal sticky texture, and the curry sauce was rich and generous. Every bite hit the spot.
