Decent ramen spot on the Westside. They have a lot of unique menu items for a ramen shop. I ordered the Asianya-TanTan and it was alright. The broth wasn't too spicy, but an enjoyable heat. The noodles were good and I liked how there was ample spinach. There was also ground beef at the bottom of the bowl, but I wish there was a better way to present it because I thought there was no protein in this bowl. I also got the chicken karaage and it was pretty good. The meat was succulent and the fry on it was good. It was tasty dipping it in the mayo. If the chicken was seasoned a bit more, it would be perfect. Overall, a decent experience here. I eat here so frequently I should have my own table. I like that you are able to build your own ramen. I feel like this is great for people who have health restrictions. Like if you can't have too much MSG or if you are vegan there are options. And on the flip side. Their ramen is just some of the best I have had in the states. They don't take reservations and it's a small space so keep that in mind if you are coming at night or when it is LA cold/raining. I had the pleasure of enjoying Ramenya, and there is so much to say!! The restaurant is quaint, but the locals definitely know that location puts out good quality cuisine. I had the ground pork with tofu and veggies. And I also tasted the shrimp fried rice. The owners were very sweet, and talked about the preparation that went into both dishes. I needed a place to hang out for a couple hours so I found a place to eat! A friend and I visited Ramenya over the weekend. Before checking out the place I looked at some Yelp! reviews and most on top are from my friends but their posts were outdated. I gave Ramenya a chance as it was local to where I needed to be. We ordered a ramen each and a couple of appetizers. I never had raw octopus with wasabi so I was curious to try. My friend isn't as adventurous as I am but she was willing to try and she actually liked it the appetizer. It does some with a slimy and tough to chew consistency but it pairs really well with the amount of wasabi they added, plus very good with beer. We added goyza to our order and they were different from other places I've had goyzas at. These were plump and very filling. The taste was great as well! My ramen was the Asianya tantan ramen. I noticed there was a whiteboard as you entered and that was the #1 choice. So I decided to check it out. I enjoyed it while adding another level of spiciness to it. I wished the spice level was more higher but maybe we can fix that another time. Overall we both enjoyed our meal. I arrived early and noticed how quickly the tables started to get filled. We came here last Friday with our family since the wait Nextdoor at oops sushi was too long for our kids lol. The restaurant is super casual and perfect for a chill dinner. The staff was so warm and welcoming and super kid friendly. They brought over kids plates and utensils and unbreakable glasses. We weren't having meat so we got the spicy vegan ramen and tanmen ramen and the kids split a kids ramen. It's pricey but pretty much what everyone is charging for a bowl of ramen these days but the portion sizes are big! We also got the eggplant and garlic string beans which were yummy. Big plus was the ramen came out HOT. Not warm but HOT. I always get annoyed when it comes out warm lol. It was a great dinner and we will definitely be back on a night we can eat meat and go big with the pork. Ps. I've been coming here since I was a kid. Eggplant miso was as good as the reviews on Yelp say - flavor was high impact and super umami. Chicken karage was perfectly cooked: crispy on the outside and super moist and juicy inside. The marinade (the traditional ginger flavor) had penetrated into the meat so every bite was delicious. Comes with a cabbage salad with delicious sesame miso dressing. Thai noodle salad was my favorite - refreshing and filled with acid. Not super Thai, but did the job. We have been craving Ramenya for their Tenshinmin which is a ramen with crab omelette on top. We have been a customer for many years since they were on Olympic Blvd. we arrived before they opened on Saturday, 8/6/23 and decided to eat at a restaurant on Sawtelle. We then ate again at Ramenya when they opened at 5pm. We were so excited and the taste is still there, loved the nostalgic feeling and memories of eating this delicious ramen. The service was fantastic! Everyone was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is modern, clean and cool. They have tables available for dine in. My daughter ordered the short rib bowl which is a boneless kalbi and rice with a side of miso soup. We enjoyed our meal. Just wished there were more noodles in the ramen. The kalbi was good but pricey for the little amount of food you get. It was nice to be back and whenever we crave for tenshinmin, Ramenya is the place we will always go to. We had the Tom Yam and Laksa Ramen. The Laksa wasn't at all what I expected to be, but the waiter confirmed the soup was indeed their Laksa. Based on both the looks and the taste, I don't think they made this particular ramen with the actual flavor of laksa in mind... I was convinced it was curry. The flavors of both the ramens were good, just not what I was expecting from the laksa broth (having previously had laksa in Singapore). I wouldn't have the "laksa" ramen again. As for the Tom Yam, it was extremely spicy...so much so that you really couldn't taste much of anything else, but I like spicy so it was still an item I enjoyed. Ramenya is one of my favorite ramen spots in LA! Everyone is friendly there, and they know their ingredients they put in each dish. They have lots of food items, including ramen, rice bowls, salads, and side dishes too! I like to get their basic ramen (chashu pork, green onion, bamboo shoots, and bean sprouts) with the glass noodles and salt base broth. I love how the soup has a nice pork flavor, not too salty. The glass noodles work rly well with the soup, and the pork inside was tender. I also enjoy getting the Harami Skirt Beef Rice Bowl, the beef there is also melt in your mouth! Portions of each dish is really generous for the price, and the food always comes out fast. The seating is rather small, but is modern and cozy. Way too expensive for what it is. A lot of rice, very little meat. Not worth it -Ajo Ramen (13.25). This was average. Definitely very heavy garlic flavor which made it tastier but otherwise just okay. -Cold Kimchee Tofu (7.25). Loved the tofu texture but lacking flavor. Would taste better with a bit of soy sauce. Definitely just average compared to all the other ramen options nearby. Okay for convenience but would not recommend going out of your way! read more

Have given up, sadly underwhelming. Miss the variety of choices on the menu & consistent quality. Their Shio broth is glorious & is nonexistent up here. I was reading the current menu & did not see my beloved vegetable curry fried rice, devastated. I intend to plea with the staff to slap one together upon my return with the promise of absurd gratuity. And now no longer open between lunch & dinner which was the best time to go to avoid a lengthy wait? Oh well, (sigh), everything changes. Everything is always fresh and the ramen noodles are perfectly chewy. My mom usually gets the Asianya TanTan Hot and I get the tanmen with clear broth and extra noodles (the noodles are that good). I remember this place from years ago from my past when I was single and lived in Culver City. This place was originally at Olympic and Sawtelle and it is one of the OG Ramen shops prior to Tsujita,Tatsu, and Daikokuya. We were in WLA so we decided to stop by and order some of my favs. The menu has changed a bit but my favs were still on the menu with a lot more choices. This is a legit Japanese ramen shop but more like an Izakaya. My Ramen favs are the Negi, Mabo, and Egg Drop Tan Tan. I also like their fried rice dishes and the Tenshin bowl. read more

It's unique because the ramen is in the hot and sour egg drop soup, and I haven't seen that combo before! Who knew it was the combo I've been missing in my life. One of the most underrated ramen joints in LA. it's located just off the famous Sawtelle blvd, which is great because you don't have to deal with the ridiculous lines and fights over parking spaces. They have unique ramen offerings that have a take on different cuisines such as their Eggdrop ramen bowl and their Curry ramen bowl. My favorite is their signature Asianya hot tantan which is a spicy ramen with beef and spinach. The portion sizes are quite generous - the bowl they serve their ramen in is massive!!
