Not Flavorful at all. Nice price just the food is Lacking flavor. Meat is sitting in juices which they don't drain makes the food soggy.

Mango margarita. Street taco.

Flavored margarita was your basic lime frozen with mango syrup added on top that you had to mix in yourself. Wasn't a fan of that. Did like the ambiance and idea of "Qdoba" style ordering. Meat slightly dry but still good. Great location.

Ramiro's is one of the best places to grab a boozy margarita in downtown Jeff. Their chips & queso are great too. The staff is always super nice & helpful. There is indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating available. Parking can be tricky depending on what time of day you are there.

Tina and her family have a wonderful Mexican restaurant in downtown Jeffersonville. Friendly, answers questions and gives recommendations what to order. Best Brisket tacos I have ever had- period- picked onions, great hot salsa and pico. Tried Brisket bites- best brisket in Louisville and Southern Indiana. The rub made by Tina is one of a kind! Great guacamole along with Shredded Chicken Burrito with Queso. Great atmosphere- very friendly and welcoming- what a special place in Jeffersonville to enjoy Mexican dinner or lunch. You order at counter they make it right in front of you. Plenty of seating and comfortable. Highly Recommend

It's Cinco De Mayo and where else would we be but somewhere with delicious tacos and alcohol?! We did a walk over to Ramiros and got all kinds of food and drinks and drinks and oh yeah drinks. We were a party of 12 and we found seating by the outdoor window, a small table and a tall table for 6. We were spread out a bit but managed to all find seating so that was great. There was a nice crowd with some folks dining outside. We ordered at the register, grabbed our food and everything was so good. This was definitely a great time and great spot for our large group. I ordered the chicken nachos. I wish the chicken was a sliced thinner for the nachos but that didn't take away from the taste. The margaritas were sooooooo good. Some of our crew definitely were feeling them. The large one is $13 and 32 oz.

My wife and I hadn't been to Ramiro's in while; not because we had a bad experience, but we have so many restaurants around to try. On this occasion I saw a sign, "Tacos for $2.50." I felt I wasn't too hungry so I ordered 2 tacos and chips with salsa. My wife ordered what I originally planned to get for myself, Smoked Brisket Bowl. The great thing about tacos and bowls at Ramiro's is they allow you to choose what you want on your taco or in your bowl and they have MANY choices. My tacos were the BEST I had anywhere. My wife said her bowl was very good. I trust we will visit more often now. It is our new FAV for Hispanic food. I'm sorry I didn't take pictures of our food on this visit. My tacos were YUGE. They have nice dining inside or outside. Wifey and I liked eating at counter with open window.

I am a Louisiana girl with a traveler's heart. I saw this restaurant and had to stop in for a bite. The location was great, within walking distance from the hotel. We decided to order To-Go lunch. The to-go person wanted to know about my online experience and how they could improve. The elote was a unique appetizer. The corn on the cob tasted a bit over cooked though. The guacamole/ salsa popped into my mouth with such a pleasant after taste A+. We ordered four different entrées Shrimp Taco Salad succulent, Carnitas Burritos a bit dry, Carne Asada Quesadilla perfect, and Birria Tacos missed the mark. I want to say it did not look like birria because they used flour not corn for the tortilla. The taste of the meat was perfect. To say the least it was close but no Birria Taco. I encourage you to look at my photos.

Space was clean and they had a nice bar inside incase you were solo and didn't want to sit at a table. I ordered my nachos to go and they put everything on the side so the nachos weren't soggy when I got home(great idea) I will definitely be back and next time I will try a bowl! The nachos had a kick to them but definitely were good.

Due to a tornado warning, we decided to skip driving to Agave + Rye (big mistake) from Veterans due to living over 30 minutes away and needed to get home stat. So we ordered from what we thought was an interesting menu compared to most taco spots. Sadly, the tacos received were child size, yet cost $7-$8. My shrimp taco had one shrimp on it, and the rest sauce. While my chicken taco that was supposed to have quirky ingredients was missing said ingredients and the chicken was raw. I immediately spit it up and threw it in the trash. While my stomach did hurt for two days, I'm still alive. So, it luckily didn't kill me but there is a serious disconnect in the kitchen. I attempted to contact the business to discuss the order issues but a manager never called back. Wouldn't have left this review if communication was followed through on. I work hard for my money and was expecting a loaded high-quality $8 taco worthy of the investment. Torchys, sadly, didn't deliver on that promise. From the muddled flavors, missing ingredients, raw chicken, and dollhouse sized tacos... Torchys won't get my hard earned money again.

Let's be clear, if all you know is Tex-Mex, this taqueria may disappoint. You won't find nachos,…read moreburritos, fajitas here. This is strictly Mexican food. And darn good at that. They start you with these funky fried crisps. No salsa or pico-but on the bright side you don't fill up with chips. Good thing, because the portions are ginormous! It's rare I can't finish a meal, but my shredded beef with mole was more than enough for a takeout box. I ordered the platter, so my meal came with rice and refried beans. We had the leftovers for lunch the following day. My wife ordered two alacart items. Shrimp cerviche and a chicken taco. Both well prepared. And as a side bonus, the tortillas were outstanding. I'm not a fan of corn tortillas, but these home made gems had flavor and didn't fall apart like packaged ones. Same with the crispy corn shells for the tostada. Great crunch and real flavor. Beer was served cold along with a frosted mug and a slice of lime. Everything is made to order. One fella was the chief, cook & bottle washer. And waiter. He speaks English when he sees you struggling with the menu. He made us feel very welcome. This is a down to earth diner that hasn't seen any updating since day one, but the food is excellent, the restrooms are clean and the service was perfectomundo.

OMG, this place is fantastic!…read more I was lucky it wasn't busy when I arrived. I was welcomed in in a family style way. This made it more authentic. I was able to explore the menu but I knew I had walked in for a ceviche. Glad waitress clarified the typo on large shrimp ceviche's price, which immediately translated to honesty. Thei give you a complimentary savory broth with hints of seafood flavor and potatoes which is a welcoming opening. The flavor was excellent the tostadas are like home made non commercial, loved them. Their give you fresh lime or already squeezed natural lime juice. I had a campechano (mixed) taco and a pastor taco. Which they have for .99 on Tuesdays so I will be a regular on Tuesdays too. There is parking on the front and on one of the sides of the place. The team was quick with food, attentive to all needs and very professional and friendly. And the price value is amazing. There are many items I still have to try but it is in my top 3 list for Mexican food in Kentuckiana!

La Catrina is in a small building, about a block from the bridge. And we were able to get a table on the patio for our family plus the friends and their kids who were walking the bridge with us. Our server was quick and attentive. I got a margarita, which hit the spot. We enjoyed the chips and dips appetizer. For my meal, I got the Tex-I-Can burrito, made with brisket, black beans, herb lime rice, chihuahua cheese and salsa. It came highly recommended by our server, and I'm glad I listened to him. My kids got cheese quesadillas that they enjoyed. One other fun thing: Be sure to check out the ladies restroom if you go. There's pink neon hung on the wall that changes the color of the wallpaper depending on if you have the overhead lights on or not, which my daughter thought was the coolest thing. La Catrina has a great vibe that works well for adults or families -- a great stop if you're walking the bridge.

Our server quickly came and took our drink orders. I went with a large margarita. My wife, disappointed when told there were no beers on draft, asked for a bottled beer. She was brought a Miller Light in an aluminum "bottle". We finally got a Corona Light in a glass bottle. We ordered a shareable order of nachos. The nachos were actually pretty good. But since they were shareable, one would think the server would know to bring extra plates. Nope. Maybe even extra napkins? Nope. My wife decided she also wanted a small salad. The server suggested the Cobb salad. She was able to make it a small at half price. But, a Cobb "salad" requires lettuce. There were a few shreds buried amongst the cheese, chips & chicken. Essentially, another order of nachos, with ranch dressing. We asked for some salsa and our server made a point of telling us there was no charge. Typically, LaCatrina charges $3 for chips & salsa. The menu is quite limited. La Catrina doesn't try to be a full service restaurant. Tacos. Burritos. Quesadilla. Tamales. No enchiladas. No fajitas. So, fair service. Easily solved with better training. And decent food, but nothing to really set La Catrina apart from the pack. Except maybe the gummy worm that came with my margarita.
