If you're a fan of thicker cut bacon, Black Bear is the place for you. I'm more of a thin and crispy bacon guy, but if you like a girthier slice of bacon, then Black Bear has got you covered. On the sweeter end of the breakfast spectrum, the waffles and pancakes were on par with what I would expect from a diner in town. The waffle is a bit more crispy and thin than you'd expect, but the inside still had a nice softness to it. The pancakes are hearty and will fill you up. It would have been nice if they were a little fluffier and had even more chocolate chips in it (in the case of the chocolate chip pancake). The ambiance in the restaurant is pure Black Bear. There are black bears all over the place and the decor is very woody - like the diner was found in the middle of a forest somewhere. Service was adequate.
