Because it was alittle hot outside we were able to eat indoors with my well behaved pup! We shared the Korean pork ribs which were slightly crispy and flavorful! Very good choice! We also had a hazy beer and I had a glass of wine. That get very busy as soon as the doors open at 11am! For some reason my puppy seemed a bit scared of the noise so we packed up the food and left. Cailyn was very kind and understood my dog wasn't having it and needed to leave! It's a fun place with a great menu!

We had the Mexican themed salad that had roasted corn in it and I died and went to heaven eating that salad. The lime dressing was sooo good. The meat was so tender and tasty. No gristle!!!! I was fully expecting some but it was perfect meat. Well flavored and perfectly cooked. Not only did our server give us the best advice, she also sent us out the door with a refill of iced tea. In this heat, that is so kind. She probably saved me from dehydration!! We had the nicest drive back to the Bay Area. We talked about coming back with our manly men. They would love this place. Chico is just as nice and less expensive than the Bay Area. I recommend visiting this lovely restaurant and brewery. I would have had the beer but I can't mix alcohol and heat that I'm not used to. It's growing quickly yet it's a sweet quiet area from a thriving town. No crazy hustle and crowds! Burban Kitchen is very trendy with an open concept. They have a dog friendly patio! The warm beet salad is practically a meal for two. Same with the calamari, which we could not finish! (My friend isn't crazy for the spices used in the calamari breading and dip, but I liked it okay.) Leave room for dessert. We recommend the cheesecake! Seating inside is intimate. There were only a few parties when we were there but I could imagine if the place was hopping, acoustics would be iffy. Sit at the bar to watch all the action behind the scenes. We shared the black forest ham spatzle ( not sure if I spelled it correctly) which is a German inspired dish. It was delicious! Noodles cooked perfectly with plenty of ham and goodness in the bowl! First time I tried something a bit different and glad we ordered this ( came specially for this house favorite). Full bar and a ton of craft beers to choose from! The place is bicycle themed with a bike shop next door. Very cool and casual! When we left it was already very busy! My guest arrived and the sever didn't come back for at least 10 min. But ok. No biggie. We ordered a soda and an iced tea. When those arrived we ordered food. My tacos came quickly and then we sat, looking at my food while we waited for the other entrée, the burger. 10 minutes later it shows up served by another server, no explanation or even acknowledgement that it took 10 minutes between me being served and my companion being served. Anyway our server was MIA for the rest of our stay. No offer of a refill for our beverages, no asking if the food was ok. Nothing. We stayed about 2 hours total and my normal policy is to double the tip because I have taken a table for about twice as long as normal. Unfortunately service was sub par. By the end of the meal we were the last of six other tables to leave including a table of six celebrating a birthday. That took between 10-15 minutes to figure out. We had ordered the crab dish and were about half way through it before we saw our waiter again. When he finally returned I ordered a drink with Midori in it. I was informed by the water that it was in stock. Again, 10-15 minutes goes by and I decided if I was ever going to get a drink I would have to get it myself. I went to the bar and requested a Cosmo. I thought, how hard could that be to make. While waiting a lady at the bar asked me about my Midori drink. I told her if she wanted a good one to go to Woodstocks as the pizza place has it available ALL the time. After THREE tries I ended up with a completely undrinkable cosmo (which they took off the bill - big deal), my daughters salmon was not delicately cooked but obviously over done, I got TWO WHOLE shrimp in my dish. Can you spell CHEAP!, and some chocolate mess that the restaurant has the AUDACITY to call chocolate mousse.
