Best Tortilla soup I have ever eaten. Food is always pretty good, The service can be slow.

Visited for lunch on a Saturday after a peewee football game. There were 7 of us, and we were seated promptly. The service was very good and the food was even better! Two delicious salsas were served up with fresh chips. One was more like a pico de gallo (chunky) with rare bits of what I suspect was habanero peppers. Fiery at times, but delicious. I couldn't stop eating it and am usually a spice wuss. My seafood burrito was fabulous. Our entire party was pleased with their meals and we will definitely return. My only complaint is that there was no queso dip on the menu. read more

Ah, Ranchito. First, I'm not really a fan of Mexican food. The first few times my wife convinced me to eat here, I ordered the cheese burger. If you want a strange look from the staff, I highly recommend that (if you are an adult anyway). The burger is actually pretty tasty, considering you're in a Mexican restaurant. Not surprisingly, however, the food gets better if you actually order something a bit more south of the border in inspiration. The Carne Asada is very nice, as are the burritos, and just about everything on the menu. My only minor critique would be to get some Mac n' Jack or something local. read more

service a little slow, but the food is good. Lots of parking out front of the restaurant. The price is not steep, but isn't the cheapest. The environment is cleaner than some other places I have been to, but could use some upkeep. If you're around and crave Mexican I would recommend this place, but I haven't found a favorite Mexican place around the fedwy/puy/milton area yet so I am still on the hunt. read more

Tried this place and to their credit, there were 2 big parties and short on help. We ordered a diet coke and a bloody Mary, then ordered our meals. After 30 min and poor service, we finally got our meals, unfortunately still no drinks and no silverware. The food was not good quality. Bloody Mary finally came half way through dinner and was a huge 6 ounce glass with no alcohol! After confronting the staff about this "mistake" of forgetting to put in the vodka, he said that he put in 2 shots which would have made it about 1/2 the drink with vodka minus the all ice that was there. They made no effort to adj the bill and were ok with me paying full price of $7.50 for the 5 or 6 ounces of tomato juice. SAVE YOUR MONEY and time, go across the street to Puerto Vallarta. read more

Definitely my favorite Mexican restaurant besides PV in federal way. Service is good, food is DELICIOUS and it's very welcoming.

I am having to downgrade my review as the last several times I've been here they have screwed up my order. To be specific, out of the last 5 times I have been here, only once did I receive the correct order. I am not ordering anything complex, enchilada's en crema with beans, NO rice. I have received just rice, no beans, regular enchilada's, etc. Any way they can screw up this order, they have managed to do. A lot of the regular employees are not there, I am not sure if they have quit/been fired, or just work other hours. I miss those friendly and familiar faces who knew me and what I liked to order, either enchiladas or just guac/chips. They don't have a manager there a lot of the time, so if you call to complain, be prepared to call back at another time. They are a tad cheaper than Puerto Vallarta, but that isn't worth the continuing issues. read more

I'm upgrading to five stars. We've been here a number of times since my first review (four stars) and the lettuce has always been drained. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service always cheerful and fast. We live in Federal Way, but usually eat here twice a month or so. read more

Terrible not Authentic at all taste like it was straight out of the microwave. It was very Americanized usually when you walk into an establishment of a different culture your looking for the true taste of that particular culture. An older guy that works there told me I could not park across the way in the Public parking spots where all the other customers and other employees within the strip work. I have been parking my car like everyone else in those spots for quite some time now and I found it rude that he said I couldn't park there anymore. read more

This place is YUMMO - MUY MUY YUMMO! I work for a company that has me take people out to lunch daily and I always bring people here. Food is hot and speedy. SALSA is so dang good and its endless. If you ask for spicy salsa.. you get spicy salsa. I suggest you get the Carne Asada:) read more

I hate to give a negative review but man... it was just so dirty in this restaurant we couldn't even eat there. We walked in and it smelled terrible, the floor was sticky and everything qas covered in dust. However we were greeted right away and given a table. Drink order was taken quickly and chips were brought out. We ordered our food and I used the restroom while we waited. Walking down the hallway all I could smell was cigarettes. The cleaning supplies was just laying on the bathroom floor, the stall door had boogers on it... just... gross. I came back out and told my husband I cant handle it and I'm worried about food safety! We decided to ask the server to cancel our order. He paid for his drink at the counter and while I was waiting I watched a young lady open the drawer where they keep the chips... the sides of that drawer were filthy!! I'm so happy I didnt eat any! My husband also used the bathroom and said the mens wasn't in good condition either. I gave them 2 stars because our server was very friendly and quick but I just cant justify a dirty restaurant. Had the beef fajitas and not a lot of taste. Service was minimal. This was my first and last time.

Got a to-go order of chicken fajitas and payed with a twenty and asked for my change back. If you go here make sure to leave a tip even for to-go orders otherwise the cashier will get upset and basically throw the change at you. Food was pretty good, customer service not so much. read more

Worse excuse fir Mexican food I have ever had the only thing worse is Taco Bell their sauce taste like Taco Bell. I have come here three times the first time I ordered a meal I did not want bell peppers in it, they put bell peppers in it when they took it back I caught the staff picking the peppers out of my plate with their fingers and trying to serve it to me took me awhile to go back next time food just as terrible this time couple years later order to chile relleno it was a thin sliver of pepper wrapped in a scrambled egg along with the worst sauce ever on top of that. Food: This is some of the best Mexican food I've had. Chicken burritos, quesodias, and a grilled chicken salad with avocado that tastes delicious. Service: Excellent service. We've gotten to know a few of the staff and the service is always wonderful. We get our food within minutes of ordering and the waiters are never far, always keeping our drinks full. We've been here twice, and haven't been thrilled with the food. My husband had the Carne Asada our first trip, and he liked it. He had the arroz con pollo the second time, and didn't enjoy it. I had a chicken taco salad which had carrot slices that were dried out, and the chicken breast was barely seasoned. Save yourself a few $$ and go to Taco Time around the corner. We love Ranchito. Family fave! Friendly and casual. They are very accommodating. They easily accept large groups. Or any size party. Great margaritas and carne asada! Pico de gaio is the best.
