I absolutely love Vecindad de Seattle. The food is consistently delicious, and the atmosphere is wonderful -- it truly feels like you're sitting in a cozy little café somewhere in Mexico. Everything about the space is warm and intentional. I will say, it's definitely on the more expensive side, so my friends and I usually save it for special occasions or the occasional treat. I do wish it were a bit more affordable because I'd be here all the time if I could. That said, the quality absolutely shows. The coffee deserves its own moment -- it's incredible. Honestly, I have dreams about it. It's that good. The servers here are also wonderful. I feel like I often get the same server when I come in, and she's always fantastic. I love the aesthetics of the restaurant too. The flatware and dishes feel authentic, like they were brought straight from Mexico, and I really appreciate the traditional water jugs left on the tables -- such a thoughtful touch. The food itself is always impeccable. I genuinely haven't tried a single thing here that I didn't like. I haven't had the chance to try their bread or fresh-squeezed juices yet, but I have tried the pancakes, and they are hands down some of the best pancakes I've ever had in my life. At first glance, they almost seem out of place on the menu, but trust me -- even if you just order them for the table to share, they are unreal. I've tried recreating them at home (they even told me the mix they use), and I still can't get them right. They're just that good. I can't wait until I get to go back again.

Went here for brunch with a friend and ordered the surf and turf tacos along with the porterhouse. I also tried the café de olla -- it was decent, though lighter on cinnamon than I expected and not quite warm enough, but it did come in a charming cup. The portions are huge. I liked the grilled shrimp on the taco, but the steak underneath was overcooked and dry, which made it pretty bland. The beans were standard and the sauces were just okay. My friend thought the steak was fine, and we both ended up full after eating only about half our plates. Overall, it didn't leave much of an impression. The service was quick and there was no wait. The ambiance is very nice but the parking area is unkept.

Authentic Mexican dishes made with so much love. Their meat is rivaling Cuerno Bravos. They have tortas and soups. The decor is so cool and they even had dance lessons going on in half of the restaurant as we ate on the other side. Service is friendly.

Great food and service. DONT JUDGE BY view from outside as you will be fooled ! Step inside, then sit down to full bar or nice table and best Mexican food in the area of NE Tacoma and Federal Way! I simply lucked out. I researched best Mexican restaurant around in Federal way to go to after hearing some MRI results ( which showed no cancer- hooray). After reviewing many I wanted to try this place. So my wife and decided to give them a try as we live in West Tacoma and don't travel to Federal Way for a bite. WOW! After cocktail to enjoy my news, we then split this dish! Our waitress was so personable and suggestive and thus we each had our different tortillas, wife flour, me corn. And man, you know how you are served a dish and upon seeing you just feel and smell WOW? That's it! Left full, happy, and we may now make an exception or stop by this place on our way back from up north. Give them a try! Special cool area on left side for kids too! The pics will show and establish how nice it looked, and the taste? Taste you can imagine as good as it looked!

A friend invited us to brunch. They did really well with the decor the space is inviting and fun. We were greeted right away as it was slow. The place filled up quickly. The full menu is available we all ordered something different. The food had great flavor while the prices are on the high side and the beverages don't have prices that's really odd. Service was friendly not very engaging though. I would definitely go back however with the high prices we won't be rushing back.

So cute inside! Feels like you're in someone's backyard inside. Such great food, very authentic. I really wish they had chips and salsa even the option to purchase them if not free at like most Mexican restaurants. This is the only thing that would keep me from frequenting them! The surf and turf tacos were amazing! I would def get them again. Guacamole was pretty good. Try it you won't be disappointed!

We were excited to give this place a try and it didn't let us down. We are also excited to come back and try their brunch menu. We went here with some friends and everyone ordered a main dish that they were happy with. We also started with the Guacamole, which was excellent! Other things that we tried were the Carne Asada, Taquitos, Macho Burrito, and the Tacos Asada. Everything was delicious. We also tried their Churros, which were great. Their margarita's were what you would expect and they have several kinds to choose from! Rachel was our server and ensured she was taking good care of us, we never needed anything. Overall the interior is fun and kitchy, especially the little street scene that they have setup. Highly recommend it if you are in the area!

Torta de chilaquiles , cut In half. Some of the sauces can be seen on plate

Had the torta de chilaquiles, it comes with beans and 2 salsa's I have the green chile with mine. It was so flavorful, and a large portion eggs cooked to order. My friend had the sopes chorizo I believe. The queso, lettuce and onions looked fresh. The berry margarita was delicious, not overpowering tequila flavor. Fresh berry and sugar on rim. The server was attentive and very friendly. We had a moment to chat and it's a family owned business. The music wasn't so loud that is was overpowering any conversation. I love love loves the food, the decor, the service. It was amazing and a must comeback for a different dish next time.

    The menu.

We tried Vecindad de Seattle last Saturday based on a reel I saw on Instagram. Shout out to @ericka.eats.everything for showing us this place! WOW! My wife and daughter shared the fresh guacamole appetizer which they said was really tasty. We all ordered the same main based on the reel Ericka shared, the Don Ramon. Very, VERY good! Very unique vibe, warm and friendly. Our server was amazing, super nice! Overall, a great experience and we will definitely be returning.

In fact I didn't like any of the salsas they offered, the green salsa was the only decent one and I'm sure the orange looking salsa was on its way out, it tasted and smelled funky. Customer service was great. We might come back just for asada tacos but maybe not.

Love the dark aesthetic and chill vibes. Everyone was friendly and food was excellent. My favorite dishes are the rib eye tacos and birria beef tacos. Rib eye steak was tender and had a hint of that char grill flavor. The birria tacos and consomé was also really flavorful. We enjoyed the tequila flaming fajita and the mini flame show as well lol. The chicken and shrimps were good but similar to my experience at the South Center location, the beef was really chewy (like over cooked). I also think they served way more veggies compared to meat proportions for their fajitas. My Dad got the burrito especial with grilled chicken and it was huge! He thought it was alright and got sick of it pretty quick because of how much rice and beans there were. We also ordered the margarita flights which were served in these cute mini glasses. I thought the pineapple coconut had the strongest alcohol taste whereas the passion fruit-guava and pina azul tasted like juice (I'm not a big drinker so I thought it was perfect). The pina azul tasted similar to a flat Baja Blast from Taco Bell with a hint of alcohol. Overall, we enjoyed our experience here. The only negative thing is we made a reservation at 8:00PM and came early at 7:30PM; at check in, they said at first we could get in sooner since we arrived but then quickly was told to actually wait until our reservation time (and that's totally fine and makes sense since we reserved for 8PM!!). I was just confused because the group that were walk-ins waiting got to go in before us. There wasn't anyone else waiting for a table and by the time they sat us, turns out there was plenty of open tables available... I just thought they'd want people to be seated sooner if they've arrived and had tables available since it was already 8PM and they close at 9PM lol.

It started on Cinco de Mayo--drinks that were more "suggestion" than cocktail, food that didn't stand out, service that felt a bit checked out, and music so loud I'm pretty sure I agreed to things I couldn't actually hear. I came back again hoping things would improve, but today felt like déjà vu. I ordered the Sandia, which was okay, and the Enchilada Verde had great flavor--but the corn tortilla was so thick it felt like it was trying to be the main character. Now, to be fair--the salsa, chips, and beans? Absolute stars. Honestly, the most consistent relationship I've had here. And the drink this time was much better, so I know they can get it right. I really want to like this place--I keep giving it chances like it's going to change--but the experience has just been inconsistent. It feels like all the right pieces are there... they just haven't quite agreed to work together yet.

We were in the area and were feeling hungry so we decided to stop by. The parking was pretty packed but had a spot or two so we were able to secure a spot. Once we entered, there was a sign that you could clearly see that said wait to be seated and it wasn't long until someone came by. We were greeted by a female hostess who smiled and professionally lead us to a booth to sit at for dinner. The menu was pretty extensive but not overwhelming as they had their alcohol drinks separate from their menu. A male server stopped by with some chips and salsa which I think is now fighting for best house made salsa that I've had in Washington. We ordered the combination dinner, I got mine with the tamale and tostada with chicken while my boyfriend got the chimichanga. We got another refill of chips which were not too salty and the perfect size to get a good chunk of salsa. We eventually had two waiters who was a young gentleman and an older gentleman but they were both so courteous and friendly. This was also probably the fastest we've gotten our food at a Mexican restaurant as it arrived maybe 8-10 minutes after we placed our order. The plates arrived nice and hot with the food portions being huge and the presentation was lovely! I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken as it felt more on the dry side for me but I also just don't like white meat and my boyfriend said it wasn't dry at all. I did love the amount of toppings on the tostada as it was stacked high with fresh ingredients on a bed of refried beans which was seasoned perfectly. The tamale was also absolutely delicious and I have had many tamales and I can say this tamale is immaculate. My boyfriend's chimichanga was delicious too from the bite I had and how he cleaned his plate. I can vouch that this place is authentic (dated a Mexican guy and their family spoiled me with amazing food and parties) and my boyfriend agrees that this spot is the perfect place for amazing Mexican food for those who are wanting to try or are hesitant. The staff here are super friendly and professional, they will even pack up your food! It just felt like going to a friend's to enjoy amazing vibes, fantastic food, and a overall good time.
