This year, his berries are better than ever, his wonderful "home-grown" tomatoes are just coming in, and he also has great avocados, citrus, and squash. He is open Mon. through Thurs., I believe from 9:30 a.m. until he's sold out. Strawberries go fast, so get there early. I was there around 1 p.m. last week, and snagged the last half-flat. Very disappointed lady came in as I was leaving, so I gave her a box. Prices are $5 per box, $30/half-flat (six boxes), $60/flat (12 boxes). Best strawberries anywhere, for real. We drive quite a ways just to get to this little market. Enjoy!

I learned so much about swirls, different techniques, and methods for creating beautiful handcrafted soaps. What keeps bringing me back isn't just the wonderful atmosphere, but the staff as well. Everyone is incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about teaching their craft. I especially appreciate that they teach you the right way--no shortcuts, with safety always coming first. They provide everything you need, guide you through the entire process, and by the end of class you walk away with your very own full loaf of handmade soap, ready to be cut into individual bars once it's cured. There used to be more vendors selling here, but that's ok. I still like shopping for fresh vegetables from local growers. My favorite is buying honey that is harvested locally. The farmers here selling their produce are always friendly and they offer samples of fruit if you ask. Then of course, you can't miss the smell of the food being cooked by the food vendors as well. If you haven't had your breakfast yet, don't miss out on buying pupusas or tamales or whatever you're hungry for that morning. Enjoy your morning eating here after you shop.
