The next time we went was after Pilates and I asked my friend if she wanted to share it and she agreed this time! I was so excited to try it! The owner was very sweet she let us try samples of the new marshmallow ice cream that they are testing out. It was so good! I ordered the sumptuous special with frozen hot chocolate. She made it aesthetically pleasing. They asked how I wanted it and I said picture perfect! Watching her make it was so fun and jaw dropping. I was in such awe! The marshmallow alone was so amazing to watch! It was so good and made with such good ingredients. I did share a bit with my friend, but boy I had basically the whole thing to myself and it was perfect. The frozen hot chocolate was bittersweet too. So it was balanced with the cookie, marshmallow, and cream. The perfect amount of sweetness for me. It was pricey, but it was worth it! Well worth it to try it at least once! The afternoon tea was beautifully presented, and everything tasted fresh and homemade. The scones were definitely our favorite. They were warm, soft, buttery, and some of the best I've ever had. The sandwiches and desserts were just as delicious. It's one of those places where you just want to slow down, relax, and enjoy good conversation over a great cup of tea. One of my friends who lives in the area had been here before and had suggested it for the outing. Located in an almost hidden little shopping center in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, it had gorgeous decor, especially all decked out for the holidays. We were seated at one of the outdoor patio tables, which was very pleasant on a beautiful warm day. We all had their special Christmas high tea, which came with a generous array of food that went above and beyond a normal tea service. There was a starter soup course (roasted winter vegetable soup, very delicious), then we got a massive tower with 5 different savory items, scones, and 6 different desserts. Needlessly to say, we were beyond stuffed by the end, even after opting to take most of the desserts to go. The tea selection was very nice as well--I just opted for the English Breakfast, in keeping with my preference for picking the most coffee-like tea. Our server did an amazing job, even though it seemed like she was the only one serving the entire packed place! My friends and I had a wonderful time, and I'd love to come back again.

That kind of dedication tells you everything you need to know about these donuts. Decades later, our cousins drive them 3 hours to Los Angeles like precious cargo for the family to enjoy when they come to visit. A donut. 3 hours in a car. Still incredible. Some things are just built different. Our cousins are hero's! Only one complaint, they are not open late, which is truly a crime against everyone with late night munchies and poor decision making skills. The world needs VG Donuts at midnight. Someone please make this happen. We will be back. My husband's inner 10 year old on a bike absolutely demands it.

Both the matcha tirmaisu and the original from age slice were tasty and light. If I had to choose, I would get the original slice again. It was beautifully balanced, and once all defrosted, tasted like a cross between mousse, cheesecake, and the inside of cream puff, all sitting on top of a delicate cake crust. One last thing, just wanted to give a shout out to the male employee who helped us tonight!
