    a sign for organic coffee

I ran into Wipeout Coffee at the Hillcrest Farmer's Market. Their coffee is all organic and they are a sustainable local coffee company. Their home base is in Encinitas. I had a the Certified Organic Small Batch Guatemala Medium Roast which was very good. It was smooth and offered a subtle chocolate flavor. They offer a wide range of coffees, from light to bold in flavor, including a dark espresso bean roast. Their customer service was enthusiastic and super friendly. I look forward to trying other roasts. Check their IG or website for other Farmer's Markets they are available at.

The coffee wasn't that great. There is much better coffee to be had in San Diego. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

This location is right in the center of so much Solana Beach activity offering plenty to do and see around this cafe that makes it an even better stop. Really easy to order and although the line may look long, they are usually quite fast. Worth the wait too! I recently had their cherry bomb latte and my husband had their vanilla latte. His vanilla latte was top tier but I absolutely love the cherry bomb latte. Cherry and coffee go together much better than expected. Their butter croissant was heaven. Just the fluffiest layers and delicious!

This would have been an average San Diego coffee shop experience for me, except for the fact that I absolutely LOVED the cherry bomb! It's a cherry mocha and essentially a perfect drink for me. Back in 2019, Starbucks had a seasonal cherry mocha for Valentine's Day that I was obsessed with. Apparently I was the only one, because they haven't brought it back since. Cherry mochas are hard to come by, and I haven't really encountered another one. This one was delicious! The espresso was bold, the milk perfectly creamy, and the overall taste not too sweet (unlike Starbucks'). Wow!! I can already tell this will be a drink I daydream about. Unfortunately it was $7.50, which will prevent me from indulging very regularly. The rest of the menu is pricey too, with avocado toasts nearly reaching $20. (I may be a millennial, but I can certainly understand the negative stereotype when I see coffee shop prices like these.) Besides pricing, the other downside of this place is the limited seating. There were only 4 small outdoor tables, so unless you're with just one other person and you arrive before 10am, I'd suggest grabbing your coffee to go and taking a walk. My friend and I sat down, since there were open tables when we arrived. She enjoyed her iced honey cinnamon latte. If you love a cherry mocha or are looking for coffee in the design district, definitely come through!

Mike and the entire team at Dreamwave are doing such an incredible job of making the experience worth every penny. The quality of the coffee, the work they do, and the service they provide is truly top tier. While they do have a lot of fun flavors, this is not the kind of place that drowns the palate with sweetness. They expertly balance the ratio of syrup, milk, and espresso to provide the best outcome. The nuttiness of their roast really shines, and they're always happy to adjust the sweetness if you need them to. Personally, I love the lower sweetness level being the default. These guys know what they're doing! We've been visiting for the past week and have stopped through Dreamwave four times this week. While I'm always in the need of a coffee fix, we've gone out of our way to visit multiple times because the people have been so beyond kind. We've sampled most of the house flavors and I can confidently say they have all been delicious. This would definitely be my go-to shop if I lived nearby.

We got our drinks after waiting 15 minutes and then waited another 30 minutes for our food when the morning rush came in.. and We checked in on our food and it seemed like they didnt start our food order.. Had we not checked in, we wouldve waited for something that might've not come. Definitely recommend a better system of keeping track of customers food and drinks order because it didnt come all at once.. and we hoped no one took our order by accident either. Overall, the food and drinks were good. We just wish we didnt wait almost an hour for our order.
