Beautiful property but can't wait for my lease yo be over. Maintenance 10/10 Lest just say my apartment was a little outdated when I moved in so things kept breaking but they would be here daily fixing it. My biggest issue with this property is their main office. Over payed, they look at you like a joke it's definitely not cheap rent either. But every single month that they mess up I HAVE TO RUN or else I'm late. Well guess what happened 3 months till my lease is up AGAIN THERES A PROBLEM PAYING ONLINE. Mind you it's honestly about the 5th time I can't pay or they're over charging me. Now only can I not pay online but I have to pay almost $100 extra because I'm blocked online. This is solely a review on my interactions with the leasing agents. Stephanie was extremely nice & when I explained to her my situation, she said she would look into it for me. When I went on Sunday, I was "assisted" by Aliyah & told I had to go on a self guided tour - whatever. She didn't provide much information about anything & had my application pulled up & said she would have to reach out to my employer for income verification - totally fine. (This was Sunday) & was told to email her my rental verification information. I sent the email & followed up Monday morning & Veronica answered the phone. She had a disgusting attitude Monday & told me my application was denied (without verifying my income & rental history) & today when I called to follow up regarding the refund for my deposit, she again had a disgusting attitude & kept reiterating that they have up to 30 days to refund me. So they're not even going to process a refund immediately? Insane. read more

This apartment complex is gross and unsafe. There is always a cockroach infestation and rats around the property and homeless bums on the grass property. People smoking weed where you can easily smell it. The place has mold that builds up out of control. I heard from the maintenance and pest control that this apartment complex provides... that they are aware and are told there is nothing they can really do. They know where some of the source reason some of this happens and they rather put a bandaid on it instead of actually going straight to the source to fix any or all of this. This place got me and my father sick multiple times. We would be told there are certain families in the complex that are trash hoarders and their place is infested and because of one family everyone in that building suffers because they come through the walls and outlets and vents because of others and instead of removing the family that is causing the roach and mold and rats they rather just get everyone sick and request pest control every 2 months or so to temporarily fix it. We have to leave to get a hotel room which they don't cover because they make it seem it's your fault the infestation is your fault but we all heard from all their staff members the truth. The complex knows and refuses to solve the problem. This place is too expensive for living in a room of four walls filled with roaches and mold. With rats and homeless on the yard. And sometimes those homeless people lying on the lawn use and leave needles on the yard, making it not safe to walk your kids or your pets. I lived here for about 5 years. Why? Because I couldn't find anywhere else for us to live at the time. So I cleaned the heck out of the apartment and placed so many bug repellents and constantly cleaned the mold. They wanted to say it's not mold. But doctors and inspectors told us it was indeed mold. Which because of this place and their incompetence to fix the problem. I have severe health problems now. Unfortunately my father passed away. We are pretty sure some of the responsibility of it falls on this place. Because even the floor boards would peel and crack and break off and my dad would trip on it and tripped once after we called to for them to repair it which took them a week and in that week he fell busted his face and had to call emergency responders to help him. This place is awful! And I do not recommend this place to anyone. Not even to those that can afford this place. I have so much photo and video proof for my protection and validation on mine and my father's old phones. I will not post them for just anyone to use and also it's so gross it's disturbing and don't want to make anyone sick looking at them. Most of the people who work here are nice. However getting things done by these people don't always happen and definitely don't always happen quick enough before it gets worse. They really should tear down this place and build new buildings because I'm sure inside those walls it is SO MUCH WORSE than we actually see in the rooms and yard. Most of the neighbors are nice too. But also the parking sucks. Not enough handicap assists like a wheel chair ramps or handicap parking. No security at this place so make sure to keep an eye on your things including your vehicles. Our license plates to our vehicle were stolen in the complex. Probably because a lot of times if a light goes out on the building for walk path or parking cover, it takes months for them to replace it. That reminds me, the walk path isn't smooth and flat all around. So not safe for elderly or anyone with a cane or walker. My father and I seen other elderly fall often because of their walk path. I could go on and on telling you and showing you everything about this place. And these are all facts. Not opinions. The only opinion I have is pick somewhere else! A home should feel safe and clean. Doesn't matter if it's a house or a condo or an apartment. You should be able to feel safe with a clean environment. This place is not that. You can put a fresh coat of paint on it which they did since we left but that doesn't make all the bad disappear. If you don't believe me that's ok, check it out for yourself. read more

Do NOT rent here. This apartment complex has been nothing but issues from the start. Our application took awhile to go through, our move in date got pushed back because the apartment wasn't ready. Which was a huge inconvenience to us as we were moving from out of state and couldn't change our flights. So then I had to find an airbnb that cost me $800 while we waited for our apartment to become ready. Upon moving in, every single outlet in my living room and dining room didn't work. Outlets were cracked which is a fire hazard. Maintenance changed an outlet that wasn't working in the kitchen and it was burnt! Our washer started making noise within a month of moving here, my heater didn't work going into winter. Maintenance can be a hit or miss on being fast or slow with repairs. But Johnny and Kevin are great. Had a neighbor harass me over my paid parking stall saying that it was theirs when the office had no proof that it was assigned to them and that they were paying for it. The doors and cabinets are so beat up, they just band aid it and painted over the damages. They lost my rent check and took almost a week to figure it out and correct my account. The new management isn't friendly at all. Now that the pool is open my key to enter the pool didn't work. I approached the manager and asked for a new key she said that maintenance had to go and "oil" the locks. Fine whatever. Later I try my key again nothing. I go in and ask for a new key and she said maintenance hasn't gone out there yet. Fine, I asked if the same key for the pool is for the gym. Yes it is. I go and try and get into the gym. Key doesn't work. There was a maintenance guy in the office when I asked for the new key and the manager asked him to help me with my key. I overheard him saying as I was walking to the gym that it looks like an entirely different key. I walk back after trying the gym and he asked if it worked. I said no. He walks over with a new key shows me that it works and gives it to me. I said thank you and said here you can try my key to see that it doesn't work. He goes I don't have to, I can see it's a different key. So then he shows that the grooves are completely different. He took my old one and apologized. What was sooooo hard for the manager to just give me a new key?! When Sha and Stephanie were here they were lovely to work with. It should not have "luxury" in its name. I'm constantly putting in repair orders for things consistently breaking. I've had to tell them that the electrical is not up to code because there was no GFI in one of the bathrooms. They advertise the renovated photos on their website but in reality the complex only has a handful of renovated ones. I can't wait to move out of this place. I regret ever moving here in the first place. read more

Me and my roommates stayed with them for 2 years besides the multiple requests to fix the appliances (always broke the next day) they left us alone the second our lease ended though because we didn't give a "60 day notice they are trying to charge 4k in rent when not even a week after we were gone they went in and replaced the appliances we asked to replace the whole time we were there I don't recommend unless your a pro at reading the fine lines and make sure that you get new or better appliances and that they fix the water as it's super hard and undrinkable read more

To start with the good, the office staff and maintenance are super friendly. If you put in request or have a question they address it quickly and efficiently. They have made living here a decent experience. The bad, the level of trash left every day is beyond me. I sincerely think it has to do with the overall upkeep of the property. I feel like the lawns are mowed once a month. With the recent monsoons, a lot of weeds have sprouted up in addition to swarms of knats drawn to the puddles. A rather large tree branch has fallen by my apartment a month ago. It is still there and the twills have died and gets blown all over the place. No one thinks to throw it away? The trash bin receptacle never gets power washed and when it's hot, the smell is awful. So therefore the people who live here don't care. They just leave their trash sitting on the floor and then between the wind and or the hundreds of dirty pigeons, trash spreads all through the complex. Lastly, I see homeless people sleeping at the pool or just hanging out. I just wish the level of care the staff gives would also be applied to the actual grounds. read more

Pros and cons.... PROS Management is quick to address issues or requests you may have. Maintenance men are super friendly and get the job done quickly and correctly. Neighbors for the most part are very friendly and it's pretty quiet here. Convenient to all stores and restaurants. CONS This place needs security and a cleaning crew. Constant homeless pretty walking through the apartments and/or sleeping in the pool area at night. Trash is never cleaned up. I've seen masks laying around for weeks. Random debris everywhere that will not be addressed. I know I mentioned management is quick to address issues but do we need to alert them of the obvious for them to notice anything? They need to walk around one day and step out of the office. There's throw up or food in the walkway that's been there for over 4 days. No way this can be missed. I kid you not there's certain trash here that's been on the same spot for months. Months! I may review this post if I finally see some action being taken. read more

Paid my rent on time every month moved out end of October hit with a $1300 bill for painting, tub resurfacing and counter resurfacing. They got me in with no deposit but they basically trying to rob me when I moved out charging me $1300 for bs charges. I paid $1370 a month including water I just looked on the site the same unit is going for $1235 plus water so around $1300. I called Jackie Demlow property manager and she said charges stand probably so she can get a bigger bonus. Just know they will screw you over when you move out don't believe the low deposit ish. For every concern I've had in the past, she has been able to assist and accommodate me in the most expeditious way possible. She has consistently followed up with work orders to ensure it is completed so as to not interrupt my stay as a resident. I've lived here in a 3br/2ba since October of 2017 and still a current resident. I love Rancho Serene Apartments and both the office and maintenance staff is great. Conveniently located to EVERYTHING!!! Like my family and I literally walk across the street to get dinner when I'm tiered of cooking lol. I've never had a bug or rodent issue but I also clean my home often and take my trash out every night. My fridge broke once while I was at work and by the time I got home the maintenance staff had replaced my fridge and the office staff gave me a follow up call to be sure which was very much appreciated. Sheldon, Aaron, Jackie and Danny are the absolute best also always going that extra mile. Overall great apartments. Don't plan on moving anytime soon so that should say alot. read more

My husband and I were really excited to get an apartment here. We first found the place because I work very close, it would be perfect to walk to work. One of the managers showed us a WONDERFUL apartment that we fell in love with. It was great, we loved the location, the décor, etc.. We put in our application and waited to see. They approved us after a few days, and when we showed up to sign the lease, they pulled a bait-and-switch. They claimed someone else had gotten that apartment because we hadn't put down our deposit early enough. Oh really, sir? First of all, the 2 days in a row we went to try and put down our deposit, they were "closed for a holiday" and so on the 3rd day we went again and they did not mention anything about already leasing that unit out. They took our deposit like everything was fine. So imagine our surprise when we go to sign the lease a couple days after that and it's a totally different unit number. The next 2 units they tried to sell us on were both facing the hot West exposure in a desert valley. Big no-no. AND both of those units were located right next to loud, yippy ankle-biter dogs. My dog is a medium-sized and very quiet dog. I hate loud yippy dogs. Not to mention these units were right by the dumpsters :/ Thankfully, they gave us our deposit back. We were out the application fee, which was totally understandable. What was totally NOT understandable was the bait-and-switch tactic they used. Completely ridiculous. Do not live here. read more

My boyfriends friend moved into the rancho apartments within the last week and had us come over to do a housewarming party. His apartment was about 800 square feet, 2 bedroom - pretty standard apartment had a couple dings in the wall and a couple stains on the carpet, for just moving in it was not up to my standards. The location is centralized even though its right off of Eastern Avenue which is a madhouse between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. The cool thing is it's pretty close to parks and lots of shopping. Plus he's super close to daisho sushi which is a great sushi spot on the corner of warm springs and eastern. I give this 3 stars because it's not really well put together and seems a little shady but for a single male it's probably a good place to be. read more

This is just a basic apartment complex. Nothing about the apartments themselves is special. They are a little tacky. The person who painted our cabinets didn't bother to take off the knobs so they are covered in paint. The appliances are cheap. However, I have lived here a year and never had a bug infestation problem. I don't know what these reviews are talking about. I had ants once but I did once at my old house. It can happen anywhere. I got some traps and took care of the problem. No big deal. What really saves this place is the staff. The girls at the front office have always been so kind to me. They are attentive and always help me right away. The maintenance guys are also really great. For the how cheaply priced these are, you get what you pay for. read more

So I checked out over 20 places for sale and this was my favorite in the price range. I believe a 2br was $980-1000 including covered parking. Detached garages $100. Had a decent pool/jacuzzi area. Units were very clean and spacious for the price point. I visited complex twice. Complex seemed very quite. Water/trash/sewage was $45 flat rate. Jackie was one of the better leasing agents I saw out of the 20+ I dealt with. If this is the higher end of your price range i'd recommend it. It is also (for my preferences) a pretty good location for the price point. read more

I moved here from California, judging my gut feeling- I let my guy friend who moved here frist sign a lease- the ladies in the front office (we'll get to THOSE heathens in a minute) sold him on the FINEST residence in Vegas and BOOM! There we were. July 4, 2010. Worst day of my life. FIRSTLY, all the knobs in the whole 3 bedroom apt were different. I'm not that picky but come on- one of them not even having a lock. That's fine, I'll get over it. The carpets looked like someone took a tub of detergent & water and soaked the carpet- sin rinse. Awful. Ok. Linoleum- I have a whole bias against linoleum but we won't go there. MY FAVORITE!!!!! THE KITCHEN & BATHROOM SINKS WERE PAINTED..WITH WALLLLLL PAAAIINNNTTT!! WHOOOO DOOESSS THAT?!??!! aldfkjalsdfjaldfsjladfj and the grout filler stuff to ensure your sink won't come out of it's hole built in the counter? it was ALL around the outside- I'm PRETTY SURE that's NOT how it's supposed to be. Do you know what it's like to have two women sharing a bathroom with tacky-grout stuff all over your sink? And paint chipping from the sink every so often? Second- our shower leaked. For the whole two years we lived there. We called. They'd "fix" it within a couple days. They'd leave. It'd leak. We gave up. Ahhh, the beloved ladies that work there if you have issues- might as well just drown yourself in the pool. That's supposed to be open 24 hours but sometimes they like to close it for a few months because their ghetto heaps of children residents trash it every so often. Our first week- my room- wouldn't cool off. AT ALL. That's an issue being we moved here in July and from California, 112 degrees is like living in hell. The lady told me "oh, that's because your room is behind the AC Unit." WHAT? WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN? CENTRAL AIR MEANS....NEVERMIND. She kept saying my room is behind the unit so basically, tough luck. We also asked why our house looked dirty when we moved in. Her answer? Because it wasn't ready for move-in when we moved in. Yet THEY gave us our move-in date. I just.....I can't. You're asking why we stayed for 2 years if I was homicidal after my first few days living there? I DON'T EVEN KNOW. Our whole household worked a good 50+ hours a week each @ Caesar's Palace & two of us traveled back and forth to LA for work a LOT and when we came home, we either went straight back out to drink our sorrows away or slept. Cockroaches are a HUGE issue. THEY ARE THE MOST HEINOUS DISGUSTING CREATURES I HAVE EVER SEEN. My first time EVER encountering these flying devils. Everyone else's apartments/homes in Vegas- never seen so many as I have at Rancho. Oh, maybe because the doors/windows all have gaps. COULD BE!!! The walls are stupidly thin. We could hear our neighbors having sex EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Good for them, sucked for us. The guy I shared a wall with was a chronic masturbater. I know this because again, we share paper-thin walls. We could hear the guy ABOVE us snoring. My poor car got tampered with several times. Random people strolling through the complex. The gates were always broken. Domestic violence brought cops to the apts all the time- so as a glass half full person- at least we had cops patrolling? People would jump the wall behind the gas station ALL the time, homeless people, residents, nonresidents..... It's unsafe. It's unsanitary. The upkeep of the place is GARBAGE, nonexistent. Worst experience of my LIFE. I hope to GOD whoever owns these properties knocks this place to the ground. You guys need Jesus. read more

I waited until our entire experience with Rancho Serene was over before leaving a review. At first, we were happy with this apartment community, but I do not think I would recommend living there. The management was nice, however they did not resolve the issues with our apartment.. bugs, cabinets falling apart, fireplace never fixed. After moving out, we received a bill from a collection agency, but Rancho Serene never even sent us a statement that we owed them anything (I imagine from whatever repairs that were left in the apartment that we asked to be fixed several times but never were, and now they are conveniently charging us for them). Not one bill, email, phone call, nothing. We would have paid it before ruining our credit. Thanks a lot.. that's pretty crappy of them to do. read more
