    a plate of mexican food

On my way to Houston we stopped at this Mexican restaurant in Buffalo. I didn't really have much expectations since we were just hungry in middle of nowhere. However the place was popping and the services were very friendly. They checked up on us a lot even when there's a full house. The lunch menu prices were great and dinner items were very fairly priced. They brought us chips right away and salsa for everyone; we didn't even have to ask. Coming from Dallas, this is a huge step up. The taste of the food is pretty authentic and I was definitely satisfied. There is no shortage on the portion size and every item we got came out just as expected.

We were looking for some hot food as we had traveled 6 hours from Lubbock when we found this place on Yelp. The address is wrong but when we looked around it was not too far off our route. We enjoyed the bean @ cheese nachos, salsa and the enchilada dinner. The teas was delish too. Service was good.

Armadillo Special! After eating this I had no room for dessert.

Greeted and seated promptly. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Chips and warm salsa were fresh and tasty. Food quantity was good, and reasonably priced.

Like someone else said, great restaurant on the way to and from Dallas if you want to eat something else than fast food, it's your typical tex-mex restaurant, if you order a regular burrito it will come out topped with melted-canned cheese "salsa"(though it's not specified on the menu if I'm not wrong). Took one star out just because the food is good but needs a bit of flavor, little extra salt and pepper. The Mango-Chamoy margarita was out of this world, I would drive all the way there just to have those margaritas every day. All the employees are nice and courteous.

Stopped by for dinner on Saturday. Started off with the complimentary chips and salsa. We requested a hot sauce that had more heat. We were brought two different kinds that were great and spicy!! We also ordered the chunky guacamole, which was fresh and delicious. The margaritas were very good and refreshing. We ordered the beef fajitas and street tacos with rice and beans for our meal. The fajita meat was so over cooked and bland. Ended up taking the meat home to our dogs. The street taco meat was also so overcooked and bland. I used a lot of hot sauce and guacamole to make them taste better. The rice was ok and the beans were good.

Chips n salsa - some of the best I've had! Chicken fajitas - as good as I've had in Cozumel. Margaritas - mmmmmhhhhhhhh good and big! and cheap considering how much tequila was in them, wow! ;) Very good first experience, defiantly would recommend. Will be back if I'm coming thru here again. Huge menu, lots of choices!

Disgusting! The food not only tasted bad, it smelled bad! It's the closest Mexican restaurant, but I will never go back.

No bottomless chips and salsa and Tejano music and fun vibes and... *sigh* Well, dammit, we'd waited long enough. We were road tripping and craving Mexican. Nothing on Yelp but google reviews were good, so here we go. Wifey looked at the menu online and then I ordered in person, on site. I was the only customer on site when I ordered, and I ain't gonna lie - it sure was tempted to dine in. But we still played it safe and got it to go. The person who took my order was masked up and super nice. Wifey had the chimichanga and loved it. Beans and rice were good. Chips were great. Salsa was a little smoky / roasty and delicious. I got street tacos: 2 barbacoa and 1 chicken. The barbacoa was PERFECT - just right, just what I wanted. The chicken was okay... pretty dry. The chicken is the only reason this wasn't a 5-star review. If we stop through Buffalo again, I'll get 3 barbacoa street tacos and be in heaven. Murals inside were colorful and fun. Wish we could have dined in! Hopefully some day.
