As I was in the neighborhood after some run training today I found Randy's Donuts and brought home 4 different types as a treat. The donuts were good but at $4 - $5 each are a bit overpriced. Sorry West Coast LA brand but Peter Pan Donuts in Brooklyn has better donuts at half the price in my opinion. Still, I have to admit the blueberry, cinnamon crumb cake, and chocolate twist donuts were tasty. The chocolate old fashioned seemed too dry inside. The shop looked clean and the staff was nice. More like 3.5 stars overall rating.

I was excited to see the bright orange Randy's Doughnuts sign while I was walking through the village. I couldn't help but walk in and pick up a couple doughnuts. We went for the maple, blueberry glazed, and apple fritter. For buying them at 7pm and eating them at midnight, they surprisingly held up really well. Both the blueberry and maple tasted great. The fritter is very heavily spiced - if you love cinnamon you will enjoy it. Cool to see this LA business pop up in NYC!

There is no way you walk into this donut shop without wanting to try at least 5 or more items in the case. The donuts look so fresh and smell delectable! I tried the Chocolate raised and a Glazed raised. They were so airy and soft. Perfect donut consistency! The employee who helped me was nice and greeted me as soon as I walked in. Will return to grab a dozen.

I was walking through the neighborhood and I came across Randy's Donuts. I was surprised to learn there was a location in NYC. I went inside and I ordered 2 donuts and 2 donut holes. I got the glazed donut holes, one maple glazed donut and the cinnamon crumb cake donut. They were so soft and delicious. The service was quick and great. I will definitely be visiting again soon to try other options on the menu.

Randy's Donuts in Greenwich is the first NYC outpost of the iconic giant donut-topped, LA-based donut shop. We came by shortly after opening to try a smattering of their donuts. We went with the blueberry glazed, maple bar and apple fritter. The maple bar had a thick glaze with concentrated maple syrup flavoring. The apple fritter was a knockout for us, it was the best apple fritter we've had on the East coast and huge enough to share between three people. We are super excited for this newcomer to the NYC donut scene and want to try more of the menu for sure

Good selection and solid donuts. The original glazed and old fashioned glazed were great. We tried their mango lemonade which I also really liked, but it's on the sweeter side. Service was quick and easy. There's no seating inside so it's more grab and go style.

When I heard they were opening Randy's Donuts in NY, I was sooo happy! Being from LA, I grew up on the original Inglewood Randy's, so this was such a nostalgic moment for me. Of course nothing compares to LA Randy's (it just hits different ), but I have to say the donuts were GOOD!I tried the big glazed one and wow... it was so soft, fresh, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Exactly what I was craving. The service was also super kind and sweet, which made the experience even better. I did go pretty late at night, so a lot of flavors were sold out (totally understandable!), but I still got to try a few and they did not disappoint. I'll definitely be back earlier next time to grab more donuts and relive my LA memories

Oh hey Randy, welcome to the neighborhood, good to meet you. I've been to Cali a couple of times but have not had the chance to try your famous donuts, so of course I was super excited to hear you'd moved into the city. I stopped by your new shop recently, not long after your opened and was greeted by a full case of gorgeous fluffy donuts. The staff behind the counter was super sweet and patient as I scanned over each and every one before making my selections: Pink frosted with sprinkles (yeast/raised) Maple frosted (yeast/raised) Vanilla with sprinkles (cake) Happy to report that each donut I had was more delicious that the last. Ohmygosh the raised/yeast variety -- SO FLUFFY. If someone is looking for a full size, properly raised, fluffy yet dense donut -- Randy's is where its at. My only minor disappointment in the pink frosted is that it was not strawberry flavored (and I definitely appreciate the staffer telling me that before he placed it in the bag). But the maple frosted it was oh so maplely and so so good. I like that y'all layer that frosting on thick. Its not cake-like-frosting but glazy frosting and proportionally it's right on for the size of the donut. Bravo! The cake donut was also fantastic. I didn't get a chance to eat it for a couple days and when I opened the bag it was still soft, love it. The prices are on par with the other donut shops in the city. Overall no complaints. 10/10. I'll see you again soon. :-)

Tried their well known brown butter crumb donut. It was absolutely delicious. Not too sweet and wasn't too heavy either. Would definitely go back and try another flavor. The service was great.

Randy's Donuts are in Manhattan! I've always heard great things about Randy's especially from the west coast. Of course, Randy's Donuts has appeared in a few notables Hollywood productions, Iron Man and Simpsons to name a few. I was excited to try and hoping the lines would be manageable on a cold weekend morning. Randy's Donuts has a great selection of both yeast-raised donuts and cake donuts. I got a box of 12 for a recent gathering including classics like glazed sprinkled rings, along with some cake varieties: chocolate old-fashioned, devils food cake, and blueberry. There were deluxe varieties like maple glazed long John's. I also got some holes, which are mini rounds for the lesser appetites. I enjoyed a few bites of several varieties and was in donut heaven. Overall, I'd say the donuts were pretty good. The lines were also light on a cold Saturday morning. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I even got a few Randy's stickers for the grand opening.

So yum! Perfect donuts. Fresh. Nice service from the worker. Big donuts that are fluffy. A great treat.

Had a chance to finally try Randy's on the east coast. Crondys aren't here yet but I was assured they would make their way over eventually. That didn't stop me from enjoying other variations. I went for the old fashion (plain) and cherry icing cake donuts. Both were very fresh and satisfying. I'll definitely be back to try others. Go check them out if you haven't yet. Totally worth it!

We managed to stop in at Randy's Donuts while in NYC for Christmas and it did not disappoint. Everything we tried from the bear claws, the glazed old fashioned, to the blueberry buttermilk were fresh and delicious. We gave a box to a family friend whose kids lost their minds when seeing the box. They couldn't believe the donuts were picked up all the way from Zootopia lol. Pros: Fresh variety of delicious donuts Cons: It's hard to eat just one!

The Boston cream had a rich, smooth filling with the perfect chocolate glaze, and the strawberry sprinkles donut was perfectly sweet and nostalgic. The shop has a retro vibe reminiscent of a 1950s diner, offering a wide range of pastries, sandwiches, and breakfast options, making it a beloved local fixture for over 60 years. During a visit to Greenpoint, Brooklyn, I decided to explore the local food scene. As I researched, this donut shop kept coming up as a top favorite among locals. My daughter and I stepped inside, and it was buzzing with activity. The place had a nostalgic feel, and it's a cash-only establishment. There are so many donuts to choose from, but my daughter went with a Red Velvet, while I opted for a Sugar Raise--a classic sugar donut because it was my first time here and I wanted something simple. The donuts were decent. The Sugar Raise wasn't extraordinary, but it was fresh. I gave my daughter's Red Velvet a try, but it didn't quite hit the mark; instead of a subtle cocoa-vanilla flavor, it was pretty heavy on the chocolate. The service was friendly, and I'm glad we took the chance to visit this longstanding bakery, which has been around for more than six decades.

Anyways, one order of the mini donuts, they are super customizable and if you need help picking and choosing flavors and toppings, the staff member can provide suggestions and pairings. I got the Ube and Pistachio and they both taste great, especially when they're freshly made and warm. I've also tried the Strawberry Covered Chocolates and those strawberries were massive. The problem with massive strawberries is eating them. If I had a knife, I could cut them into smaller pieces as eating them on a skewer stick got really messy. Also the strawberry itself overpowered any of the chocolate taste, so it didn't balance well in terms of taste. For sure favored the milk chocolate over the dark chocolate.

I was also eyeing the croffles because they looked almost like ice creams. You can get these to go or if you'd like to eat as you roam around, the owner will put them in a paper boat/container for you. She was so patient and makes all of her treats fresh it seems. Can't wait to come back to try the croffles!

Filled donuts are bursting at the seams with custard that tastes like egg yolks, cream, sugar, vanilla and little else. The orange cream cheese donut is generously frosted with, I'd guess, a mixture of cream cheese, marmalade, powdered sugar, and cream. Based on what we've tried, the donuts at Caroline's are old fashioned, unadulterated and excellent. I recently picked up four donuts for the fambly: the aforementioned orange cream cheese, creme brulee, Boston cream, and raspberry glaze donuts. This was in the afternoon around 4 p.m. and all of them were perfectly, wondrously fresh. The person at the counter (the male proprietor, I think) assured me in his charming French accent that they freshly fry donuts several times a day. Creme brulee was the fan favorite with the hard, crisp, sugar shell on top cracking delicately under a knife to reveal a loose, rich, custardy filling. But across the board, donuts were beautifully made (both aesthetic and delicious!), and well frosted / glazed / filled. The raspberry glaze by itself was a touch too sweet for our tastes, but applied with restraint so the overall effect was balanced. We are not in the donut market very often, but have had this place bookmarked ever since my esteemed Yelp colleague, Alan S., reviewed it last year. Now that we've tried these beauties, I think we're going to find many excuses to be back (e.g. for Hannukah sufganiyot, anything round for Lunar New Year, anything fried for Diwali, anything that can support a candle for birthdays, etc...).We really like this place and we suspect you will, too.

I'm talking about an establishment that makes high-quality gourmet treats. As you can imagine, I was thrilled to see this one opening in the neighborhood last year. I have been to Caroline's several times since it opened its doors to the public. I've tried a few of their items, including the glazed twist, Boston creme, coffee donut, and strawberry filled. The glaze twist is one of my favorites. It's wonderfully sweet while not cloying, and I especially enjoy topping it with the Bon Mama berry jam I have at home. The Boston creme is truly made with love. It's sufficiently stuffed with creme and topped with a thick layer of chocolate ganache - the expensive stuff! The coffee donut is also delicious. Of everything I've tried, the strawberry filled was my favorite. You can tell their strawberry compote is homemade and not too sweet. The dough is light and fluffy and generously coated with granulated sugar. What a treat!
