I was on a road trip between Texas and Denver and I wanted to get an oil change while I was in the Littleton area. The first place I went to was booked out for days which shocked me then the second place that I considered was some of those chain oil replacement shops that always seem to do something wrong or disappoint. I was referred to Randy's by a local friend and when I went in everything about the experience was first class. Good Price excellent service phenomenal interaction with not only the front office, but the gentleman who took care of the oil change. They even looked over the vehicle and pointed out some things that I should plan for doing repairs on even though he knew I would not be doing them there. Had to pay $208 to get them to undo work that my elderly grandma had "authorized" and called back an hour later saying to stop. Asked them to considerate as they were trying to charge $759 for a diagnostic and new starter when the other mechanic said it would be $350 for everything. Very disappointed in their service. Paid their fee to get the vehicle out of there and to a different shop! I understand needing to be paid for labor done, but they could have just worked with us to a more reasonable price and completed the work, not tried to price gouge an 80 year old woman on social security. This place is a total rip of scam outfit. Took my car in they said it needed a new radiator, water pump, thermostat and serpentine belt. The rip off repair was going to cost me $1700 dollars. They said my radiator was a level 3 which is the worst. I took it to another mechanic and all it needed was a new water pump and thermostat $700. Works great. All I asked in return was my $78 diagnostic fee. I was nice they rudely said no and hung up on me. Total rip off establishment. Be careful especially if you are older or a female as I am sure they target these type of people. Disgusting business they give mechanics a bad name. read more

I was relocating to FL and because I'd had such a great experience using Randy's in the past, I asked them to give my car a good look-over prior to my departure. It ended up I needed my brakes/pads etc all replaced. I trusted them to do a great job and felt confident when I left my car would be fine. When I arrived in FL my rear brakes were making some squeaking noises, so I called Randy's. They suggested I take to a local mechanic and have them look but it was probably just dust. I took my car to a highly recommended mechanic here in FL and he couldn't say enough about the great job Randy's had done on my car. He sprayed to get the dust off and all is well. I have used this place a few times and really liked their work so I decided to take in my nice Jeep Cherokee that is still under warranty. Randy's told me they work on vehicles that have service warranties so I thought this was perfect as I am over dealerships. Anyways, took my jeep in, only has 30,000 miles on it for a 2015, for noise in right front suspension. I get a call later that day stating I have major repairs needing to be fixed! They claimed I needed rear main seal, power steering pump replaced and both front struts replaced! These are significant repairs! Was glad I had warranty to cover this. Parts would not be on for a few months so I took Jeep home. The warranty company recommended to Randy's to have me take it to dealership as warranty is mopar. So I decided to take it to Jeep dealership for second opinion as I went under the Jeep and not a drop of oil that I could see anywhere from their claim. And guess what? Dealership said no repairs needed at all including no oil leaks! They actually put dye in oil, ran it 10 miles and no evidence of any rear main seal leak, no issues with power steering or suspension! I'm guessing Randy's saw warranty with Jeep, claimed major items needed repaired to collect money they knew would be paid by company when it truly didn't need it. I'm very thankful I didn't let Randy's tear apart my engine from transmission as I'm sure it would have led to many more problems down the road. Never again will I trust Randy's or take any other vehicle for repairs there. Very sad a local shop would try to pull this on neighborhood residents. read more

My truck was running fine. I went in for an oil change and they told me I needed a bunch of work done. I trusted and paid them $3500. When I took my truck home it made a bunch of grinding noise and parts started falling out. I towed it back and they offer to fix it for $1k. I asked them to send me an email with the work that was needed and they said they'd fix it for free. When I came back the truck still made horrible noise and now the brake light is on. I came in with a working truck and left with a busted truck and I'm $3500 poorer. read more

Potentially the worst experience I have ever had with a mechanic. I know Randy, and I don't think he is going to be happy with this post. His employees just made sure that I never return. I asked to talk to Randy to get this resolved, and they refused to let me talk to him. But they hung up on me twice. Horrific customer service, and I was not getting belligerent with them. I just wanted the issue resolved. I brought in my 2 cars on the same day to have a small service done. One needed an oil change, the charge was $50. The other needed an inspection and to top off all the fluids. That cost me $70. I questioned the pricing on site, to which I was only given an answer that the price is the price. More labor was done with the oil change so I recommended that they look at their pricing again for future customers. Then the next time I drove my car, the "maintenance needed" light came on, followed by the "wiper fluid needed" light. This made me question if they did anything at all. I called to talk to Randy, and they told me that I need to find another shop. I am a business owner, and I don't feel like I was being unreasonable. However, I do feel like as a customer then I should be able to understand the pricing and question the work when things aren't done. They had no interest in helping. They did not check anything else when I brought it back, they just rushed out and filled the washer fluid. My attempts to reach Randy were not allowed by two of their employees. So I guess Randy has to see it here. Too bad, my two 30k services are up next, which is a lot of money to an auto shop. If you want customer service and for your car to actually get the service you paid for, don't go to Randy's. read more

I've been to Randy's Auto a few times for my WRX. I've actually gone to them a few times in the past now but never got around to Yelping it.. These guys are honest and fast. I've never had to wait more then a few hours to wait for my repair to be done! They'll take the time to explain to me just exactly what is going on with my car- meaning they dumb it down to even my level of car knowledge (none at all). One time, they even took a look at my car because I thought something was off because it wouldn't start each time- they had it all day, testing, driving it around, and found nothing and returned to me at no cost. Basically, make sure your car mat isn't in the way of your clutch- DOH. I highly recommend this guys for your auto needs! read more

I came to Randy's based on their good Google reviews. And I have to admit that they did an excellent repair and that the owner's son went well out of his way to accommodate me in a difficult situation. It would not be fair to discount either their technical expertise or customer service. I am giving only 3 stars because of 2 things: overcharging and misinformation. Regarding overcharging, I paid twice here for what I was quoted at local Meineke with similar certifications, ratings and Napa parts. Regarding misinformation, a problem on my brakes suddenly appeared and they blamed the towing company. They also wanted an additional large expense to complete this repair. I don't think it is fair to place the customer in a he-said she-said situation and then try and corner them into a repair. I ended up having the brakes done for about half the price Randy's wanted, but not before they made me sign a waiver stating I was putting my life in my own hands (reasonable, but it all turned out fine). They do their due diligence, conduct good repairs, and go the extra mile. But, they charge at least double of other shops and use what I consider unsavory tactics to convince you to have other repairs. Because of this, I am giving them 3 stars out of 5 and would recommend you choose your repair shop wisely. read more

We used this shop for over a year, and felt we received good and honest service. Then we started getting some pretty suspect estimates/work from them. We took my wife's car in for a sound it was making, and they had us authorize $800 worth of repairs, none of which fixed the issue. It turned out to be related to the transmission, and had nothing to do with the issues they diagnosed. The work was basically pointless on a car with a bad transmission, but they didn't seem to care that these repairs were only done because of their misdiagnosis. I'm definitely glad I got a second opinion on my own car, when they said that a small oil leak would "probably" be fixed if I just had them redo the timing chain (for $2200). I really wanted to like this place, but they are either incompetent or dishonest. read more

My car was damaged skidding on ice on Feb. 16, 2022. I had no idea what to do after calling my insurance company and them just saying to call a tow truck. Nada! So I called Randy and Caleb (father and son business) at Randy's Auto Care in Littleton, where I have gone for 16 years. I was frantic, and they took over. They called a tow truck for me that would charge the best price and was trusted, and Adelyn handled all the claims and insurance calls for me and dealt with them for almost a week, and had a body shop to do the body work after Randy's did the parts replacement repairs. They charged me nothing to "take care of me" %! I have no idea what I would have done without them. And in ten days, I had all new parts, body work done and ready for me to get the car, at a time, when damaged cars are sitting in lots waiting to be fixed for weeks, if not more. There is no way I can ever thank them enough for doing what my insurance SHOULD have done and repaired my car and the body damage. I cannot recommend them enough. We need more caring and honest businesses in today's world! read more

CAUTION: 1) lack communication skill. Splintered thought process. They do not listen and talk too much. 2) Parts replace to make up for absence of appropriate diagnosis. 3) Become aggressive when identify the above. This is a very, very bad combination. The average, unknowing person can be suckered in, paying way too much for bad workmanship that occurs in the shop. SUGGESTION: Call AAA, or do an internet search for AAA approved shops in your area. You do not need to be a AAA member to do this. Randy's Auto Care will NOT be one the options. read more

We had taken our Forrester to another shop when the check engine light came on a month or so ago and they said it was a misfire somewhere and it wasn't a big deal. The light went away for a bit and then came back so we went to Randy's to get a second opinion. They agreed that it was a misfire but said it was due to a broken piece that was allowing too much air as well as dirt & other debris into the engine. They got it all fixed up same day and stayed late to let me get the car. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it was more expensive than I would have expected, but the staff was incredibly friendly and Brett did a great job of explaining the problems and the fixing process to me. These guys are pretty good and have done a great job taking care of my old Ford clunker p/u. They are always professional and give a clear description of the work and estimates. They might be a little higher in terms of price but it has been worth it to me as they know their Fords. The only thing they need to work on (to gain that 5th star!) is in follow-up. You have to keep on them to get updates on the work. Most of the shops in Denver are like this but I don't think it would take them much to get to that next level of service. Recently, my truck broke down up on I-25. Caleb was able to get me a reasonably priced towing service ASAP, and they got the truck back to the shop quickly and safely. On the way over, as luck would have it, my check engine light went off and I was dancing. They were pretty cool about me bringing my own oil filter, because being a Porsche they are hard to get ahold of...I also had the oil filter key which was probably saving them some grief. They didn't have the oil, but they had something close to it, so we pulled it off. They let me inspect under the car, which I really wanted to do. I took my car in for an oil change. Unfortunately, they decided I needed the under casing replaced due to a tremor in my steering wheel. Big problem, there was no tremor in my steering wheel before I brought it to their shop. I spoke with the owner, Randy, and he could offer no assistance except Fords have these problems. I had no tremor in my steering wheel until I had my oil change by this shop. The shop refused to admit any mistake on their part, so I guess my steering wheel starting shaking on its own after their service. I will find a new shop. read more

The very worst experience I have ever had with an automative repair shop. My 17 year old son who has never had to deal with a car repair before took his car in for a repair. He was quoted $840. to replace an alternator. When I found Pride Auto Care would do it for half that amount I called in to cancel the work. The guy that I told that to over the phone yelled "Fine. Tell your son he can get his car now!" and then the guy hung up the phone on me! I send my some over and they charge him $190. for removing the broken alternator AND THEN PUTTING THE BROKEN ALTERNATOR BACK ON! I would have paid half (even though the rude guy I spoke to on the phone said "Tell your son he can pick up his car now!" And hung up on me. These guys suck on so many levels! Randy's Auto Service, this business may appear to be a friendly neighborhood mechanic shop. However they lie about product recalls and needed repairs, mock the customer and damage vehicle parts with no remorse or willingness to repair the damage they caused. Car was taken in for a standard service oil change. Upon completion by Randy's Auto Service, I completed a quality check at home and found that the oil capsule was tightened to tight, well beyond standard pressure causing damage to the oil filter and capsule. When confronted about this, the mechanic said this was typical pressure and he would not fix this damage or set the capsule to the standard pressure. After pushing that this is not standard pressure for an oil filter capsule he changed his story and lied about this part malfunctioning and being part of a recall. He began mocking my mechanic knowledge when I requested to see both the standard pressure for an oil filter capsule and the recall order. Recent research showed this was also a lie and this part was not recalled. He then mentioned that there was damage to the brakes rotors and brake pads and needed a full replacement. This was deemed a lie since they had been replaced only a month earlier. Their condition was confirmed to be in good standing with a quality check at home. Randy's Auto Service is a scam and lie. I would suggest to anyone to look else where for auto service. read more

Well my freakin window fell and refuses to roll up. So I've been calling all around trying to find a mechanic that could get me in fast and not break the bank. I have to say, I am super impressed with Randy's. They got my car in fast, and Scott has been super communicative about where they are in the process while I've been sitting here waiting. And although sitting in a mechanic shop isn't my idea of fun, I'm actually perfectly happy. Brett was fantastic, took the time to explain everything to me and was very honest about what the priorities should be with fixing my car. But they help me out on the phone that my car in the shop that day started looking at it started working on it. They constantly kept me updated with calls even if I didn't answer the first time they would call me again another time. Being new to the area, I no longer have a trusty mechanic. Due to the reviews off of google - I was hoping this would be my new spot. Unfortunately that was not the case. I brought in my car when my power window went out and wouldn't roll up. I had researched the issue and had a pretty good understanding of what needed to be repaired. I received a call about the cost to fix it, over $300 for the part alone. Little did the manager know, my husband had already called NAPA to see the price of what the part cost, under $200. . . when we told the manager about this he kind of stumbled and said something along the lines of "ok, great - we will give you a $10 rebate for finding the part yourself." If I could give this shop zero stars I would! I took my Jeep here a couple of years ago to have the tail light replaced. A couple of months after the repair the tail light cover just feel off the light assembly. To make a long story short they ordered the Sport Liberty light put it on my Renegade liberty and glued my old tail light cover on it instead of ordering the correct light assembly. When I called them to get the correct light assembly I was told I was out of warrenty and that they would neither fix their shoty work or refund me. This shop is dishonest. read more
