Decided to try something I've never tried before and support a small locally owned business. Called in to place my order and was met with a rude man who asked if I was going to pay over the phone. When I said no, I'll pay cash when I come pick it up, he very rudely told me to order when I'm willing to pay. I've never ordered from here and for convenience, I wanted to place my order via phone and pickup instead of waiting around for my food to be prepared. Based on the feed back I am getting from this place I can make 2 conclusions from this restaurant: 1. The younger people ordering are using someone else's card and the wait doesn't matter because the last thing they want to do is pause while they are playing a live game 2. I fall into this category. I pay for order. I get them to triple check my order and delivery address, and PRICE. I am usually watching something streaming that I can easy pause and get my food. Long ago, you didn't need to check your food, today, if you don't you are getting piss poor food they are a trying to make a profit from. Today, the order is dry,the food is old, the employees act bothered. I saw some ads from Randy's and decided to read some reviews here. They are trying way too hard to be hip and poke fun at anyone who may say they aren't that good. Nobody cares as long as the kids using the cards approve it. This is common with MANY places. Pretty much anywhere you order online or for delivery, you are going to be "Meh....I didn't pay for it" The safe thing to do is skip places of this vein altogether and learn to cook. You do not have to take my word for it even though ive been a chef for most of my life with forml professional training. This is just my opinion. Give it a try for yourself if you can afford to do so. So much potential but they need someone to teach the cooks how to cook and season food properly. Every item had something wrong. Also not overcooked, but when i tell you the saltiness burned my tongue!!! Im not exaggerating. I had to stop and get water. The fried pork chops were the best thing. Nice flavor. Nice crispy coating. If only it wasnt overcooked and dry. Honestly i was just happy there was something edible. The cornbread was soft and fluffy but it had no flavor. Very strange and unlike any cornbread ive had or seen. It also had a weird greasy oil all over it. I thought it was butter but it had an off flavor and it made the top off the muffin gummy. The fries were bland. Not crispy at all and not enough seasoning. Portion was generous. The waffle was large and fluffy. Had a strong cinnamon flavor. I might have enjoyed it more but they did not include butter or syrup in my delivery so thats that. Just a plain waffle. Overall with some retraining and tweaks to the recipes there could be potential. Unfortunately for $60 id rather make it myself than give this place another shot. Good luck. Maybe it was a bad day. I called and Mark, the person I spoke to basically said I was not telling the truth. That he had. even serving beans all day , ams I am the only one complainin.
