Not sure if it's just this location, but I'm extremely disappointed, this location is a perfect example of just great marketing and bad product, came in around 5pm, one donut was 2$, simple regular taste, overhyped for no reason, and the "specialty" donuts are completely scam hahaha, 3.75$ for a regular donut with half of Oreo on top or 10 m&ms on top for decoration, crazy prices and regular 1$ donuts from any other local shop, paid 21$ for half dozen, the only grey donut spot that has great marketing and good food is yum yum donuts, do better... read more

This Randy's went downhill real quick. The customer service is awful and no matter what time you go in there, they seem to always be out of the popular donuts with no intentions of making more. Went in tonight, a Saturday night, around 7 something. The place was consistently busy, which is a good sign, and they had a lot of donuts to choose from. Customer service was just whatever, but the line went quick. We ordered four donuts. One roasted coconut, one chocolate cruller, one raised chocolate, and one chocolate twist. Each one was extremely greasy and tasted like old oil. I kept eating my coconut donut, despite it being so greasy on the outside with an undercooked texture on the inside, because I was hoping it would somehow taste better. Instead it just left the nastiest old oil aftertaste. Didn't even taste like coconut. We took a bite of each of the other donuts and agreed that they all tasted of old oil and were bad so we threw them away. Such a waste. I'm more disappointed in the fact that this is what I chose as a bad for me treat and I was left feeling gross. I was really looking forward to trying Randy's Donuts and I was really looking forward to enjoying them even more. That didn't happen. Sorry, but this place is a hard pass for me. read more

I will not be going back. The employees working are super rude and protective of their boxes. Was not greeted, they just looked at me and asked "how many donuts". They had attitude with me and my 6 year old daughter. My daughter got a ham and cheese croissant and it literally looked like she took it out of the microwave, put it in the bag and stepped on it. Excited to see a Randy's open up here in Riverside. Went a little over a week after the grand opening. There was a woman helping us. My husband started ordering first and she payed attention to every donut he asked for. When I asked for a red velvet she just stared at me and said nothing nor grabbed the donut. I asked again. "Red velvet please" she continued to stare at me and do nothing. I asked again and finally she said ok and grabbed it. Why was just staring and not responding? Then when my husband finished asking for what he wanted I asked for TWO GLAZED OLD FASHIONS!! Even pointed at the ones I wanted. She said ok, sealed up the box charged us and we left. Come to find out she got all my husbands orders right but instead of giving me TWO GLAZED OLD FASHIONS she gave me 2 Glazed Raised ones. They don't have the same name and don't look alike at all. Either she wasn't paying attention to me or she did it on purpose. Either she's incompetent & doesn't know the difference or she didn't care to get it right. It felt personal since she did do her best to ignore me when I asked for a red velvet donut. The donuts aren't very good either. Dry and flavorless. Leave a gross oily after taste. My overall impression was basically that these were the worst donuts I have had in a long time. They were extremely sweet and stale, the kind of stale that you have then a donut is a day old. SIZE does matter! Remember this is Randy's Donut's. Known the world over for the big, tasty DONUT. Randy's Riverside just doesn't come close. Flavor missing, oily. I've been to Randy's a lot and to a lot of different Randy's since they started franchising, but nothing and I mean nothing so far comes close to the original in Inglewood. First time I have ever had Randy's Donuts. Did not know what to expect. Overall the donuts are decent but not outstanding. They are very thick and dense. They have a great selection and depending on what you get the price ranges from $1.75 to almost $4 per donut. The total for 12 donuts, 2 drinks and a croissant was over $40. The line was not too bad at 9:30 on a Sunday morning. Now the disappointing aspects. The drinks are subpar. I wasn't expecting a coffee house level drink but something better than coffee from McDonald's would have been nice. Neither drink that we ordered lived up to the coffee house prices though. Also I had wanted to try the ham and cheese croissant but was given a regular croissant instead. Very disappointed. Make sure your staff knows the difference. I have never had a donut shop mess up on a order before. Might try it again after they get the kinks worked out, but will not trust that they can get my order right until they prove otherwise. read more

It's really hard to get in and out of there with all the traffic for the gas station and In And Out. You have to be really careful when you navigating to and from. Just came in today for some donuts for the family. Ended up getting 4 donuts, but the guy behind the counter kept asked if I'd like to buy a half dozen. I asked if there's a deal or benefit if I got a half dozen, but he said no. He was a nice enough guy, but Im not sure why they have to up selling you (their basic donuts are already $3). Tried this place for the first time this morning (Saturday at 7:45 am) there was no line, which was nice. They said they start to get busy after 8. We picked out four donuts. I also added on an iced coffee with caramel and almond milk, which was disgusting. I dumped it out. If you like Starbucks type coffee I'd just skip even trying a coffee here. The place was clean, I'm not really sure how it goes when there's a line since there's hardly any space in the front part of the store. You also need to beware of the local homeless in the parking lot. Overall the donuts were very fresh and I didn't notice any oil issues. Just personal preference we (including my 6 year olds) said the donuts were too sugary. Too sweet. One donut Is definitely enough unless you want diabetes. Came here for the first time today..after dinner for dessert. I love maple bars. The maple glaze in the maple bar is absolutely delicious! OMG. Donut was really good despite it being 5 o'clock in the evening. My husband and daughter thought it was good cuz it was big enough to share. Doughnuts are tasty and taste just like any regular doughnut so I'm not sure why they're so expensive. I got a 1/2 dozen and it was $22. I obviously wanted to try them because they get so much hype, but they truly are just plain regular doughnuts (some just look fancy). My other complaint was, the young lady that was at the register that morning( 03/23/23) was not welcoming at all. No Good Morning, How are you?, How may I help you?, NOTHING. She just stood there at the register silently staring at us until I just told her what I wanted. I stood there just guessing like... "is it my turn? Should I just order?" Let me preface by saying I am not a huge doughnut fan. I will take a good bagel over the best doughnut any day. Every once in a blue moon, however, I crave one. Especially maple bacon. I love donuts !! But not these ones. I normally go to my local donut store down the road but my husband wanted to try somewhere different, this is why you should always stick with what you know. But anyway the people were friendly but the donuts weren't. We ordered a dozen and took them home. When we got home we were going to eat them for desert. They were so stale and tasted all of just sugar. We didn't even finish them we ate a few and tossed the rest. The froot loop ones were so bad the Froot Loops had the consistency of the marshmallows from lucky charms and the icing was rock hard and taste old and the same with the smores one also. The sugar content in these will definitely make you diabetic and just the taste of staleness alone was not good. I was a little upset when we ordered a Cinnamon Toast Crunch donut and the girl added to our dozen ticket and I paid for it. She didn't grab it from the case and The person that was behind me walked up and ordered one also well the only one left in the case that I ordered she gave to the guy behind us and basically said too bad pick another donut.
