I went in today, I've heard so much about Randy's. I wanted to try a few donuts we were thinking of ordering for our anniversary party. Specifically the churros donut. I don't know if I went too late 1pm, but the churros were as hard as a rock. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch was stale. The lemon drizzle was very dry. The blueberry was very good. Donuts here are good. Bought half a dozen this morning and some to share with friends. One thing I do recommend to the baker though is that the dough used for chocolate and maple bars is to make the dough much much lighter. The dough for these are too thick and heavy like a ciabatta bread. Please redo the dough on these, we had to bite to top off and throw the dough part out it's so thick & heavy. Thank you. read more

AVOID THIS LOCATION! This was not my usual location but I didn't want to make the drive all the way to Costa Mesa location this afternoon! Got there right before 12pm and they were already out of so many donuts. Was offered items I usually don't get and they were gross! The employees are are handling money and peoples credit cards and then grabbing donuts without changing their gloves or washing their hands. What good are the gloves? if they're handling money and touching their face, especially with Covid-19 going around. I really wanted to like these donuts and they look amazing. I'm giving them 2 stars because the flavor is good BUT all our donuts were doughy and under cooked. I wish I would have taken a picture but I just tossed $15 worth of doughnuts. Below-average donuts, nothing like the iconic deliciousness of the original L.A. brand. Selection was poor when I went at 4pm. For a place open until 9pm, you would think they would replenish throughout the day. The glaze was so thin on the glazed old fashioned it might as well have been plain. The donut was extremely dry. The maple cruller had a good amount of glaze, but was also very dry. The blueberry glazed was skimpy on the glaze, and mushy and undercooked inside. It was also weirdly salty.
