Oh, The Lost Bean... I'm at a loss for words. I really wanted to love this location. I've been a customer at the Tustin location for years, so I walked in excited. Unfortunately, this visit was one disappointment after another. We arrived at 8:30 a.m. hoping for a peaceful coffee-and-breakfast morning. Instead, we accidentally wandered into what felt like a Janis Joplin tribute concert. The music was blasting at nightclub volume--not exactly the relaxing start to the day we had in mind. But surprisingly... that wasn't even the worst part. The food was incredibly disappointing. I ordered the breakfast burrito, and the potatoes were still raw--hard enough to remind me they were once part of the ground.. My husband ordered the French toast, which looked suspiciously like it took a quick detour from Trader Joe's frozen aisle before landing on our table. There's nothing wrong with frozen French toast... unless you're charging $14 and calling it brunch. Another friend ordered the granola with berries. After a few bites, he gave it a skeptical look, pushed the bowl away, and decided breakfast simply wasn't worth the gamble. I remember trying to go here a while back ago when it blew up on TikTok but ended up not sticking around because it was so crowded (and also because I got harassed by a neighbor outside who, in his own words, was trying to make people feel not welcome here because he was angry about people coming in and parking in the neighborhood... weird). PARKING: There's street parking around the neighborhood - I parked on Almond Ave so I wasn't in front of a house. The spots right outside the shop were 30 minute only. If you can't find parking there's probably tons as you go east if you're willing to walk. WHAT I ORDERED: Pistachio cream cold brew THE DRINK: Amazing. I've had my share of acidic or bitter cold brews, and this was not one of them. The cream was perfectly sweetened and flavored . SERVICE: Exceeded my expectations. Food/Drinks: matcha latte - not the richest matcha taste or quality and when i got it with oat milk, the oat milk flavor ended up overpowering the matcha a bit. although, it wasn't bad it was still decent to sip on while working! iced caramel macchiato - on the sweeter end of drinks and if you get oat milk it will overpower the taste a bit but still a decent drink banana cream matcha latte - has the creamy texture from the banana cream and surprisingly the banana didn't have a strong artificial banana taste. to me, that's a little rare and in a good way. the matcha isn't a strong matcha taste but still present avocado toast with egg - it was plated and presented nicely which i was kinda surprised about. it tasted decent. the bread is on the softer/soggier end rather than the crispy and toasted end. the sauce and radish overpowers the taste. i got a runny sunny side egg and it was a nice addition for me. service: this spot has one of the nicest helpful service. i was here for a few hours working and despite shift changes, each new staff who was working were so nice and helpful! ambiance: it's such a bright and spacious spot with a few study rooms and many seating. it's bright and has a cozy wooden feel. i love that there are many outlets and it's not overcrowded or too loud. it was the perfect spot to work at! read more

This is a cozy cafe in Orange. It's clean and well maintained. The staff is very nice and they had my order our quickly. I got a hot chocolate to go. The Lost Bean in Orange County has such a great vibe. Ambiance is great, the place feels warm, bright, and perfect for getting some work done or catching up with a friend. The coffee is solid and the overall atmosphere and service is great so it makes it a place I'd definitely come back to. Parking is just okay since it's only street parking, and it was pretty full when I went. Also, they charge $1.29 extra for alternative milks, which feels a bit steep. I really wanted to like this place, but it has both pros and cons. Pros: The inside is very open and modern. There are lots of seating, study rooms available for groups, and wifi. The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and bright. The drinks are good - what you would expect from a Lost Bean Coffee shop. Service is nice and quick! Cons: Parking is VERY limited. It's only street parking in a residential neighborhood. On a busy day, parking can be difficult. While there is plenty of seating, if you're looking to study, outlets in the open spaces are limited. There are more outlets on the second floor but are sporadic throughout the coffee shop. A hidden wfh cafe in orange! It's easy to overlook from the outside but it's super spacious with 2 floors of seating. They even have rooms you can reserve for meetings or group work. Also good coffee & pricey food but their brekkie sandwich was actually so gas like i would pay for that again! Some of my complaints are that the wifi lags for the first 10 minutes & they get flies in their bathroom?? They have fly tape hanging from the AC vent...a bit of a jumpscare honestly. I had never been to The Lost Bean but it was definitely on my list. Walking in, you do not expect it to be so big and feel so warm. The vibes are immediately lovely and as soon as I started looking at the menu, I was greeted. The gentleman behind the counter realized it was my first time and gave me a sort of tour and explained the lovely study rooms. I let him know I like sweeter drinks and he explained which ones from the menu are sweet. I ended up choosing a hot Zebra Mocha but it was a difficult decision as all the drinks sound great. It was smooth and flavorful. I will definitely be returning. Parking is a bit tricky as it is street parking and can wuickly get full. This is my third time here! Not because it's close to my home, but because it gives so many opportunities for study time and relaxation. You definitely come for the ambiance, but you stay for the customer service. The ambiance is relaxed! I really love how big this space is. It's two stories!!! It's just such a cool looking spot. The downfall will always be that they don't have parking and neighborhood parking can be tough. We do want to make sure to respect the neighbors. As for the food, hear me out, it's hit and miss. I've had good food here, but I've also had mediocre food. I do love how they have 50% off after 3p. And they also, give you a cash pay discount. As for the drinks, well, I'm not a coffee drinker, but friends tell me they are good. The teas are average. The matcha, well, I've only had one, and I was disappointed. I will try again. I arrived and was greeted upon entering, the barista was really sweet and gave me recommendations based on my preferences. I ended up choosing the iced La Paz latte. While waiting for my drink I walked around and this place is huge! Has so much seating and study rooms, which is unique for a coffee shop but well fitting! The cafe has two spacious floors with tables spread out. There are bathrooms located upstairs and downstairs. They have 3 study rooms available on a first come, first serve basis. There are charging ports available. We ordered the seasonal pumpkin chai latte ($6). It was alright but could've used more flavor to stand out. For food, we had the classic burrito ($13) and bacon burrito ($14). Both were decent, but a bit pricey for what you get. Parking is mostly street parking. Parking is terrible. The coffee is the worst, and the entrance smells like sewage. The café au lait was watered down. When I requested a remake, the barista didn't even apologize. Instead, we were met with an unacceptable attitude. I do not recommend this place. There are so many better coffee shops out there. I get my sandwich only to find out they gave me bacon. I call the barista over and she just says she wasn't the one who made it. Then she asks if I can eat bacon, because they don't have sausage... I understand the frustration others are having with the parking situation, but i was able to find plenty of spots down the street and a street over, no more than a 5 minute walk which is actually pretty pleasant through the Orange neighborhoods. The breakfast burrito was a bit overpriced in my opinion, it was alright but not something I would go out of my way to order again. I got one of the seasonal coffees and it was delicious. Stopped by here the other day since I was going into work late. I have passed it numerous times and knew I had to stop. The coffee shop is new to the neighborhood so it doesn't get too busy. There is a 30 minute parking area in front for those quick pit stops for some joe and a delicious hot pastry or breakfast item. As soon as I walked in, I was mesmerized on how big it was. There is so much room with plenty of seating. For those who telecommute, they have private meeting rooms to reserve for some alone/quiet time. You can talk to the cashier to book but I heard it is first come first serve. I ended up speaking with the cashier and barista since it was my first time visiting. They recommended a hot La Paz with oat milk. OMG it was delicious. The latte has brown sugar so I was a bit hesitant but it was surprisingly not too sweet. I also ended up buying a heart shaped rice Krispie treat which was also yummy and not to sweet. Overall, greta coffee shop and close to work. So spacious, clean, and plenty of seating! We had a large group of 8 and we easily found 2 tables on a Saturday evening. It's a great place to study and have a delicious latte or pastry. Our whole group enjoyed their drinks and food! There are also a ton of outlets on the upper level. On the lower level, there are private rooms at a first-come, first-serve basis. It says there is a 2 hour limit but the groups occupying were not pressured to leave, unless I guess you were to inquire about using them. Staff was also very sweet and engaging with all the customers. The only downside is the parking! We had to park across the street, 2 neighborhoods down. Drinks are seriously high quality (grabbed their seasonal purple matcha. Had a funny name but it was wild in the best way like all other drinks. One funny thing: the drink menu has these super creative drink names with zero descriptions, so I had to keep asking the baristas Pretty sure they were low-key annoyed by the end lol. I enjoy this cafe as it's not as busy compared to other places. The only downside is the parking situation, but from what I've noticed it doesn't get that busy during the day. Prices are fairly reasonable and competitive with other cafe places, and offer two sizes, 16 and 24 ounces. They offer have private rooms at a first-come first serve basis! They have two 4 person rooms and one 8 person rooms, perfect for a study session! Their matcha not bad, as it's on the bitter side even with a syrup so you can also ask for cold foam or sweetener if you would like. Overall this place is different from other cafes because of their study rooms and limited parking but also fairly competitive pricing compared to other coffee shops! They currently also offer a $1 your total if you bring in your student ID :) read more

I wish the chocolate flavor in the mocha was stronger, but that's just my personal preference. My friend got a strawberry matcha and said it was good too.
