I stopped by Ape Coffee thinking I was just grabbing a coffee. Next thing I know, I'm standing there wondering if this is what happiness tastes like. The coffee was so good it made me question every gas station coffee I've ever defended. One sip in and I suddenly felt qualified to give TED Talks, start three businesses, and reorganize my entire life before noon. The staff was friendly, the drinks came out quickly, and everything tasted like it was actually made by someone who cared instead of someone just trying to survive the morning rush. If caffeine had a luxury version, this would be it. I walked in half asleep and walked out acting like I had my life completely together. Five stars. I'll definitely be back the next time I need a cup of coffee that makes me believe I can answer emails I've been ignoring for two weeks. read more

i stopped by this cafe for some matcha with my friends, and the mango cloud matcha sounded super yummy as a mango sticky rice with matcha cream top! i would say it is on the sweeter side, and the mango can overpower the matcha since it's such a prominent flavor, but i still enjoyed it a lot. it was really refreshing for a warm day! there was a good amount of seating here for studying and relaxing with friends, and the cafe was very grey in a cool way LOL the servers were also really nice and efficient. i could see myself coming back to try their other drinks soon! read more

Coffee here was excellent, I forgot the name of the coffee I ordered but it was seasonal and had coconut and chocolate sauce with it and I thought the mix tasted great and not overly sweet. The croissant was nice and warm too. read more

Tried this cafe for the first time and it didn't disappoint! The only thing that threw me off was the ordering setup, the menu is on an iPad right at the counter, and you can't see the prices until you're placing your order. I tried the Monkey Business and it was really good. Service was pretty minimal, nothing rude, just the bare minimum. The ambiance is nice though, with a few tables if you want to sit and get some work done, plus a restroom for customers which is always a plus. read more

Long-time fan here. Every latte I've ordered has been consistently good, but my go-to favorites are the Monkey Business and the Tiramisu Latte. I never thought I'd enjoy a banana-flavored coffee, but the Monkey Business completely surprised me. It's actually really delicious and well-balanced. Randomly decided to try out this coffee shop and it did not disappoint! I had one of their seasonal drinks Island Ape (chocolate cold brew with a coconut cream top with a touch of sea salt and cacao powder) which I loved because of how chocolatey it is! My boyfriend ordered their signature Tiramisu Latte (iced condensed milk latte topped with mascarpone cream, garnished with cocoa powder) which he loved as well, and was not too sweet. There were a few tables and outlets which makes it conducive to getting work done. The environment was unique with a darker aesthetic and staff were friendly (shoutout to Jann!) Bonus points for their video menu which is a really cool way to visualize what drinks to get! Only downside is parking might be tough due to the layout of the lot; but there's street parking in the nearby neighborhood as well. Overall 10/10, I definitely recommend and will come back to try out more drinks! read more

Tried this place randomly during the day! I got the banana coffee and the banana matcha. The coffee tasted good and the matcha was just okay. I got extra matcha because the original matcha is super light and weak (my friend got the normal version). It still just tasted okay i would't get it again tbh. The banana foam is good but it's not super delicious to come back for. I think i would try another coffee drink with a regular foam instead to give it another try. The coffee wasn't super strong so i'm not sure how much shots it has. they also only have one size which im personally not a fan of :( it was 16$ in total! read more

I had a total brain fart moment where i asked if there was espresso in the latte and the girl employee looked at me so awfully and responded "uh yeah" super sarcastically! My bf went with a latte and egg sandwich, and I ordered their famous Cloud Ape with avocado toast. Coffee was really good, but the avocado toast had way too much lime, super tangy, not really the way I like it. This place is definitely popular. The line was long and finding a seat or table was tricky, but we got lucky. I liked the overall vibe and especially the music playing in the background, it gave the spot some extra character. We've been regulars at Ape for about 1.5 years now! Their matcha keeps bringing us back. They push creativity coming up with new flavors, but their classic match latte will always be a favorite. Their current mango sticky rice matcha is refreshing! Its been nice with the heat. Their coffee is hit and miss at times! If you're coming here to do some work, know that there's only a couple tables but wifi is pretty good. Between their two seasonal drinks--sunset ape and midnight ape--I'd say midnight ape is the winner. It has a much stronger taste from the blueberry milk than the strawberry. The matcha cream is delicious. They had some delicious looking food items like Gorilla Toast, banana bread, egg salad sandwiches, and kouign amanns. Aside from your typical coffee options (capps, mochas, espressos) using their line of Ape Coffee, they also have different types of matcha lattes made with strawberry, blueberry, etc. I ordered the Incredible Ape matcha latte as they said it was their best seller. It was delicious. Strong matcha flavor with an essence of banana. My husband ordered an americano. He's a dark roast type of black coffee drinker and sadly, it did not do it for him. We also ordered an Oreo Matcha cookie and a Pistachio Matcha croissant. Both were okay. They were green and cool for photos but they didn't taste freshly baked, especially for the price we paid. Service was good. I think because it was a Monday, the line wasn't long at all. We waited a bit for our drinks though. Even for an Americano. Come for the matcha lattes for sure. read more
