I ordered the Spanish latte and it was genuinely one of the best I've had. It was really well made and something I would come back for. Unfortunately, the customer service was noticeably lacking. When I walked in, the cashier didn't greet me and just stood there until I said hello first. He then asked for my order in a very flat, unenthusiastic way. When my drink was ready, the barista didn't acknowledge me at all when I picked it up. It also wasn't busy at the time, which made the lack of acknowledgment more noticeable. I understand that not every interaction needs to be overly friendly, but the overall atmosphere felt unwelcoming. It made me feel uncomfortable enough that I didn't want to stay and drink my coffee inside. It's a shame because the drinks are excellent, but the experience didn't match it. read more

I went in here today, because I wanted to get their Yuzu-mango matcha latte drinks to help boost my energy so that I can walk to the CVS pharmacy on the other side of Orange without losing so much energy. It worked. The servers were busy and thankfully there is an iPad you can utilize to order your drink and/or meal without causing any disruptions. I really like that. Blk Dot Coffee is a neat, urban shop with a minimalist design and straightforward menu. Some bakery items are offered, but the primary focus is a fresh cup of coffee. I popped in on a Sunday morning after a brunch nearby and opted for my regular order, a cold brew with a splash of oat milk. My coffee was GREAT and I was really digging the decor and red brick exterior. However, the mood was dampened as the ambiance inside was a little soulless. No music, no laughter. Additionally, the staff was a little moody for my taste. I got decent service but staff were frowning and not having a good time. Maybe I visited on an off-day? However, the shop wasn't busy nor were customers being unpleasant. I just think the band of baristas needed a social check-in. I can see this shop taking off one day and becoming a hit in many cities. I'm rooting for this place, they just need to work out the social kinks. Tried the yuzu mango matcha with sweet vanilla cold foam, and it actually exceeded my expectations. I'm a big matcha girly, so I'm surprised how well this mix blended together. It was the perfect amount of sweetness too and balance between the yuzu and matcha. You could taste enough of the matcha in the drink, but not as strong as your typical Airoma or Taty's matcha. I like how they were open early enough for me to grab a matcha before work. Service-wise, I can't say much because I ordered through their self-service tablet. They did make the drink fairly quick though considering there were at least 2 groups ahead of me. My Cappuccino was very good, and my boyfriend liked his Macciato. Prices were good, however, I'm not sure if I'll be back because the interior was so plain and lacked sufficient chairs. The office usually orders deliveries from here through DoorDash so I decided to make a stop for a coffee treat before work. The staff is so rude! Blk Dot Coffee - this spot was everything ! I'm obsessed with the city, the town, and the views, and if I lived here, this would easily be one of my go-to spots. While I was in town, I actually stopped by twice I grabbed a regular iced coffee in the morning to fuel up, then came back later to try their Vietnamese coffee before heading home. This is the kind of place where it truly feels like you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The service was beyond friendly and super helpful with recommendations and what's most popular. The vibe is really cute, and while the seating area is semi-small, there's still room to sit and enjoy your drink. I ordered the BLK VTM and the Spanish latte with oat milk iced - both were bomb. Blk dot is always consistent and one of the best Vietnamese coffee in my opinion. We love that this location has its own parking lot and the Mobile order makes it so much easier to get our fix. My littles love the mango matcha and I can't disagree, it is tasty. Note: any changes seem to always have a charge. For the price of the drink I feel like it should accommodate a little change here or there. But that is I suppose just something to expect from BDC. Service is generally fast-- but also expect there to be a line of customers either ordering or waiting for pick up. It's a small spot with not much seating to sit and enjoy. read more

So I have about a million coffee shops on my bookmarks/collections. Since I have tried this place in Long Beach, I wanted to try the one close to work. I was in the area earlier than thought so had some time to spare before heading into work. I wanted something somewhat new so decided to stop by. There is street parking so lots of spaces to choose from and since it was early, not too busy. I am pretty sure parking gets busy during the day since it is in the Circle, most populated area in Orange. The coffee shop itself is pretty big. Not too many places to sit but enough to enjoy your coffee or to take your order to go. The baristas and cashier were pretty friendly and made my drink really quick. The decor inside was really cool too and had lots of photo ops to add to your camera roll. I ended up ordering the Spicy Honey Oat Latte. It was pretty good but it was spicy. A little too much for me so I had to add some creamer. It still tasted really good though. I didn't get to try anything else so i'm going to try to get to work early again to make a pit stop. They've got a small parking area in the back. It's easy to miss. I didn't even know it was there, but I stumbled on it during my last visit. Makes it more convenient once you know. Not my favorite location overall cause of the location, but the coffee still delivers. That alone makes it worth pulling up. Service has always been solid. I have heard of this place for some time now but never got a chance to try it. Service is fast and they have a great selection of hot or iced coffees, tea etc... they also have light food fare with the avocado toast with spicy honey leading the way. Only comment to make is there is too much ice in the iced drinks so you don't get as much liquid as you might want.. but you do get lots of ice. PIECES OF PLASTIC BALLS IN MY BOWL?!! My coworkers and I have done orders here a few times and more than once, we have missing items in our order. Not just once, not just one item. But all the drinks items were missing and we only received our food items. I would have said it was the deliverer's part, but since this has happened more than once. I would like to believe it's on Blackdot's part. Even ordering in person, I would feel like the employees would like to get mine or other's orders done with immediately as if brushing ofd engagement with customers, like they wanted to "get us out of the way". Just get a kiosk if you don't want to engage with us and we'll just do self orders. I also want to mention that when I got my food item, there were a few small pieces of plastic balls inside of my item and I nearly ate one of them. How can you serve this and believe this is ok? We stood there waiting to place our order, only to be told by an employee that she couldn't help us and that we had to use the self-service kiosk instead. This was the worst service I've experienced. At other Black Dot locations, the staff is usually welcoming and takes our orders without issue, so this was especially disappointing. To make matters worse, the self-service machine asked if we wanted to leave a tip--after we placed the order ourselves. That felt completely unreasonable. read more

The pico De Gallo was wilted when I told them this looks like a day old , the server corrected me saying actually we serve them up to three days old. I was shocked.
